ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 78
1 ಆಸಾಫನ ಮಸ್ಕೀಲ್ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಜನರೇ, ನನ್ನ ಬೋಧನೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ; ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಲಾಲಿಸಿರಿ.
An Instructive Psalm. Asaph’s. Give ear, O my people, to mine instruction, Bend your ear to the sayings of my mouth;
2 ನಾನು ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಲು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿ ತೆರೆಯುವೆನು. ಪೂರ್ವದಿಂದಿರುವ ಗುಪ್ತವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ನುಡಿಯುವೆನು.
I will open, in a parable, my mouth, I will pour forth enigmas out of antiquity; —
3 ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕೇಳಿ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
Which we have heard, and come to know, And, our fathers, have recounted to us;
4 ನಾವು ಸಹ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ದೇವರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸುವೆವು. ನಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮುಂದಿನ ತಲೆಮಾರಿಗೆ ಮರೆಮಾಡದಿರುವರು.
We will not withhold [them] from their children, To a later generation, recounting the praises of Yahweh, Even his might and his wonders which he wrought;
5 ಅವರು ಯಾಕೋಬ ವಂಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಸನಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು, ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡಿರಿ,
When he set up a testimony in Jacob, And, a law, appointed in Israel, —Which he commanded our fathers, That they might make them known to their children;
6 ಇದರಿಂದ ಮುಂದಿನ ತಲೆಮಾರಿಗೆ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿ, ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುವರು.
To the end, A later generation, might come to know, Children who should be born, Who should arise, and recount [them] to their children;
7 ಆಗ ಅವರು ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡುವರು. ಮತ್ತು ದೇವರ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ಬಿಡದೆ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯುವರು.
That they might set, in Elohim, their confidence, —And not forget the doings of El, But, his commandments, might observe;
8 ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಹಟಮಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ದಂಗೆಕೋರ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು ಆಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವರ ಹೃದಯವು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವರ ಆತ್ಮವು ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And not become, like their fathers, a generation stubborn and rebellious, —A generation that fixed not their heart, Neither was their spirit, faithful with GOD.
9 ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ, ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೂ ಕಾಳಗದ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡರು.
The sons of Ephraim—armed bowmen, Turned in the day of battle;
10 ಅವರು ದೇವರ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ದೇವರ ನಿಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದರು.
They kept not the covenant of God, And, in his law, refused to walk;
11 ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೇವರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
And forgat His doings, And his wonders which he had showed them:
12 ದೇವರು ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, ಚೋವನ್ ಬೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು.
In presence of their fathers, wrought he, wondrously, —In the land of Egypt—the field of Zoan:
13 ದೇವರು ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ವಿಭಾಗಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ದಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ನೀರನ್ನು ಗೋಡೆಯಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
He clave the sea, and caused them to pass through, And reared up the waters like a mound;
14 ದೇವರು ಹಗಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಘದಿಂದಲೂ ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಬೆಳಕಿನಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
And led them, by a cloud, in the daytime, And all the night, by a light of fire;
15 ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ಬಂಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿ, ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮಹಾ ಜಲಾಗಾಧಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
He used to cleave rocks in the desert, And let them drink as out of mighty deeps;
16 ಬಂಡೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊಳೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ತಂದು, ನದಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀರನ್ನು ಹರಿಯಮಾಡಿದರು.
And he brought forth streams out of the cliff, And caused waters to flow down, like rivers.
17 ಆದರೆ ಜನರು ಇನ್ನೂ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿ, ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹೋನ್ನತರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದರು.
But again, once more sinned they against him, Resisting the Most High in a land of drought:
18 ದೇವರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ದುರಾಶೆಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
They put GOD to the proof in their heart, By asking food to their mind:
19 ಹೌದು, ಅವರು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ದೇವರು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭೋಜನವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲನೋ?
Yea they spake against Elohim, —They said, Can GOD prepare a table in the desert?
20 ಇಗೋ, ದೇವರು ಬಂಡೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯಲಾಗಿ, ನೀರು ಚಿಮ್ಮಿ ಹೊರಟಿತು. ಹಳ್ಳಗಳು ದಡಮೀರಿ ಹರಿದವು. ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕೊಡಬಲ್ಲನೋ? ತಮ್ಮ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವನೋ?” ಎಂದರು.
Lo! he hath smitten a rock, And waters, have gushed out, Yea, torrents, have rushed along, —Food also, can he give? Or provide flesh for his people?
21 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಬೇಸರಗೊಂಡರು. ಯಾಕೋಬ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹೊತ್ತಿತು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾದರು.
Therefore, Yahweh hearkened, and became wroth, —And, a fire, was kindled against Jacob, Moreover also, anger, mounted against Israel;
22 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ದೇವರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Because, They believed not in God, Nor trusted in his salvation;
23 ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಮೇಘಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ, ಆಕಾಶದ ಕದಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದರು.
Though he had commanded the skies above, And, the doors of the heavens, had opened;
24 ಉಣ್ಣುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮನ್ನವನ್ನು ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುರಿಸಿ, ಪರಲೋಕದ ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
And had rained on them manna to eat, And, the corn of the heavens, had given to them:
25 ದೇವದೂತರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಮಾನವರು ತಿಂದರು. ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.
The food of the mighty, each one did eat, Nourishment, sent he them to the full;
26 ಮೂಡಣ ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದರು.
He let loose an east wind in the heavens, Then guided he, in his might, a south wind;
27 ಧೂಳಿನಂತೆ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿದರು. ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮರಳಿನಂತೆ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುರಿಸಿದರು.
And rained upon them flesh as the dust, And, like the sand of the seas, birds of wing;
28 ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವರ ಗುಡಾರಗಳ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಸುರಿಸಿದರು.
And let them fall in the midst of their camp, —Round about their habitations.
29 ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಿಂದು ಬಹಳ ತೃಪ್ತಿಗೊಂಡರು. ಅವರು ಆಶಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ದೇವರು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
So they did eat and were abundantly filled, When, what they longed for, he had brought them: —
30 ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಆಶೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಡದೆ, ಅವರ ಊಟವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಬಾಯಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವಾಗ,
They had not turned away from what they had longed for, Yet was their food in their mouth,
31 ದೇವರ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿತ್ತು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದವರು ಸತ್ತರು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಪ್ರಾಯಸ್ಥರು ಸಹ ಸತ್ತುಹೋದರು.
When, the anger of God, mounted against them, And he slew of their vigorous youths, And, the choice young men of Israel, caused he to bow down in death.
32 ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಜನರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಪಾಪಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ದೇವರ ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡರೂ ನಂಬಲಿಲ್ಲ.
For all this, sinned they still, And believed not in his wonders;
33 ಆಗ ದೇವರು ಅವರ ದಿವಸಗಳನ್ನು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವರ ವರ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳವಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಳೆಯ ಹೋಗಲು ಅನುಮತಿಸಿದರು.
So he ended, in a breath, their days, And their years, in a sudden terror!
34 ದೇವರು ಜನರನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸುವಾಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರು. ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
If he slew [of] them, then they sought him, Yea they turned, and did earnestly seek GOD;
35 ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಂಡೆ ಎಂದೂ ಮಹೋನ್ನತರಾದ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಿಮೋಚಕರೆಂದೂ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And remembered that, Elohim, was their rock, Yea, EL Most High, their Redeemer:
36 ಆದರೂ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಯಿಗಳಿಂದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮುಖಸ್ತುತಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
So they spake him fair with their mouth, And, with their tongue, did promise him falsely;
37 ಅವರ ಹೃದಯವು ದೇವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ದೇವರ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
But, their heart, was not fixed with him, Nor were they trusty in his covenant:
38 ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ, ನಾಶಮಾಡದೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು. ಹೌದು, ಅನೇಕ ಸಾರಿ ದೇವರು ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಿದ್ದರು, ತಮ್ಮ ಬೇಸರವನ್ನು ದೇವರು ಪ್ರಯೋಗಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Yet, he, full of compassion, would put a propitiatory-covering over iniquity, and not destroy, —Yea, many a time, turned he back his anger, And would not stir up all his wrath.
39 ಜನರು ಬರೀ ಮಾಂಸ ಮಾತ್ರದವರೂ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಗಾಳಿಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ದೇವರು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
So then he remembered, That, Flesh, they were, A Wind departing, that returneth not.
40 ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಸಾರಿ ಜನರು ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಬೇಸರಮಾಡಿದರು. ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ದುಃಖಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
How often they, Resisted him in the desert, Vexed him, in the waste:
41 ಅವರು ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರಿಗೆ ಬೇಸರಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು.
Yea they again put GOD to the test, And, to the Holy One of Israel, caused they sorrow:
42 ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ವೈರಿಯಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನೂ ತಾವು ತೋರಿಸಿದ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಅವರು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
They remembered not his hand—The day, When he ransomed them from the adversary;
43 ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆದ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಚೋವನ್ ಬಯಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ ದಿವಸವನ್ನೂ ಅವರು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
When he set, in Egypt, his signs, And his wonders, in the plain of Zoan;
44 ಅವರು ಕುಡಿಯಲಾರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರ ನದಿಗಳು ರಕ್ತವಾದವು. ಅವರ ಹೊಳೆಗಳು ಸಹ ರಕ್ತವಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟವು.
When he turned, into blood, their Nile-streams, And, their own rivers, could they not drink;
45 ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಹುಳುಗಳು ಬಂದವು. ಅವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಾನಿಮಾಡಿದವು. ಕಪ್ಪೆಗಳು ಸಹ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾದವು. ಅವು ಸಹ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಾನಿಮಾಡಿದವು.
He sent among them, The gad-fly, and it devoured them, And the frog, and it despoiled them;
46 ಅವರ ಬೆಳೆಗಳು ಕಂಬಳಿ ಹುಳುಗಳಿಗೂ ಅವರ ವ್ಯವಸಾಯ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳಿಗೂ ತುತ್ತಾದವು.
When he gave to the corn-locust their produce, And their toil, to the swarming locust;
47 ಅವರ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಬಳ್ಳಿಗಳು ಕಲ್ಮಳೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಅವರ ಅತ್ತಿಮರಗಳು ಮಂಜಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನಾಶವಾದವು.
He killed, with hail, their vine, And their sycomores, with frost:
48 ಅವರ ದನಗಳು ಕಲ್ಮಳೆಗೂ ಅವರ ಪಶುಗಳು ಸಿಡಿಲಿಗೂ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟವು.
When he gave up, to hail-storms, their beasts, And their cattle, to pestilent fevers;
49 ದೇವರು ನಾಶದ ದೇವದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಬೇಸರದಿಂದಲೂ ದುಃಖದಿಂದಲೂ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುರಿಯಮಾಡಿದರು.
He sent among them the heat of his anger, Wrath and indignation and distress, —A mission of messengers of misfortune:
50 ತಮ್ಮ ಬೇಸರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ದಂಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಾಧಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು,
He leveled a path for his anger, Withheld not, from death, their soul, But, their life—to the pestilence, he delivered:
51 ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ, ಹಾಮನ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರುಷತ್ವದ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಫಲವನ್ನೂ ದಂಡಿಸಿದರು.
So he smote, Every first-born in Egypt, The beginning of their strength, in the tents of Ham;
52 ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಮಂದೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಜನರನ್ನು ಹೊರತಂದು, ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
And he set forth, like sheep, his people, And guided them, like a flock in the desert;
53 ಜನರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವರು ಹೆದರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಅವರ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು.
Yea he led them securely, and they dreaded not, And, their enemies, the sea did cover.
54 ಹೀಗೆ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಭುಜಬಲದಿಂದ ಪವಿತ್ರ ನಾಡಿನ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇರೆಗೂ, ಈ ಪರ್ವತ ನಾಡಿಗೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದರು.
Then brought he them within his own holy bounds, The mountain-range, which his right hand made his own:
55 ದೇವರು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ, ಅವರ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿ, ಅವರ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ವಾಸಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
So he drave out, before them, [whole] nations, And allotted them, by line, an inheritance, And caused to dwell, in their own homes, the tribes of Israel.
56 ಆದರೆ ಜನರು ಮಹೋನ್ನತರಾದ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿದರು; ದೇವರ ಶಾಸನಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
But they tested and resisted God Most High, And, his testimonies, did not observe;
57 ತಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಉಪಕಾರ ನೆನಸದೆ, ಅಪನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರಾಗಿ ಮೋಸದ ಬಿಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಓರೆಯಾದರು.
But drew back and dealt treacherously, like their fathers, They turned aside, like deceitful bowmen;
58 ತಮ್ಮ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಂದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಬೇಸರಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳಿಂದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ದುಃಖಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
And provoked him to anger with their high places, And, with their images, used to move him to jealousy.
59 ದೇವರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ, ಬೇಸರಗೊಂಡು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
God heard and was wroth, And greatly abhorred Israel;
60 ದೇವರು ಸಿಲೋವಿನ ಗುಡಾರನ್ನೂ ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನೂ ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
So he gave up the habitation of Shiloh, The tent he had set up among Men;
61 ತಮ್ಮ ಬಲದ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ವೈರಿಯ ಕೈಗೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
Yea he gave up, into captivity, his strength, And his beauty into the hand of an adversary;
62 ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಜನರನ್ನು ಖಡ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥತೆಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
And delivered up, to the sword, his people, And, with his own inheritance, was he wroth;
63 ಅವರ ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ದಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು. ಅವರ ಕನ್ಯೆಯರು ವಿವಾಹ ಗೀತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
His young men, were devoured by fire, And, his virgins, were not praised in song;
64 ಅವರ ಯಾಜಕರು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಸಂಹಾರವಾದರು. ಅವರ ವಿಧವೆಯರು ಗೋಳಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
His priests, by the sword, did fall, And, his widows, were not able to bewail.
65 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದರು. ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸದಿಂದ ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸುವ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಾದರು.
Then awoke, as one that had slept, Adonay, As a warrior exulting with wine!
66 ತಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸಿದರು. ನಿತ್ಯನಿಂದೆಯೇ ಅವರ ಪಾಲಾಯಿತು.
So he smote his adversaries in the rear, Reproach age-abiding, laid he upon them.
67 ಆಗ ದೇವರು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ, ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮನ ಗೋತ್ರವನ್ನು ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ,
Howbeit he rejected the tent of Joseph, And, the tribe of Ephraim, did not choose:
68 ಯೆಹೂದನ ಕುಲವನ್ನೂ, ತಾನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡಿದ ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪರ್ವತವನ್ನೂ ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡರು.
But made choice of the tribe of Judah, The mountain of Zion, which he loved;
69 ಉನ್ನತವಾದವುಗಳಂತೆಯೂ, ಯುಗಯುಗಕ್ಕೂ ತಾವು ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರ ಹಾಕಿದ ಭೂಮಿಯಂತೆಯೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದರು.
And built, like the heights, his sanctuary, Like the earth, he founded it to times age-abiding.
70 ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕ ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡು, ಕುರಿಹಟ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರು.
And made choice of David his servant, And took him from among the folds of the sheep:
71 ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಜೆಯಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನೂ ಮೇಯಿಸುವ ಕುರುಬನನ್ನಾಗಿ ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದರು.
From after the sucking ewes, he brought him in, —To be shepherd to Jacob his people, And to Israel, his inheritance.
72 ದಾವೀದನು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದ ಯಥಾರ್ಥತೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಜನರನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಸ್ತ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯದಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದನು.
So he did shepherd them, according to the singleness of his heart, And, with the discernment of his hands, used he to guide them.
