ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 58
1 ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕನಿಗಾಗಿರುವ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಅಲ್ತಷ್ಖೇತೆಂಬ ರಾಗವನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿದೆ. ದಾವೀದನ ಮಿಕ್ಟಮ್ ಹಾಡಿನ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆ. ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಜನನಾಯಕರೇ, ನೀವು ನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿ ತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತೀರೋ? ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವಿರೋ?
For the Leader; Al-tashheth. A Psalm of David; Michtam. Do ye indeed speak as a righteous company? Do ye judge with equity the sons of men?
2 ಇಲ್ಲಾ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದುಷ್ಟತನವನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೀರಲ್ಲಾ, ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಹಿಂಸಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ತೂಗುತ್ತೀರಲ್ಲಾ.
Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh out in the earth the violence of your hands.
3 ದುಷ್ಟರು ಗರ್ಭದಿಂದಲೇ ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹುಟ್ಟಿದಂದಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡುವವರಾಗಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
The wicked are estranged from the womb; the speakers of lies go astray as soon as they are born.
4 ಹಾವಿನ ವಿಷದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಷ ಇದೆ. ಘಟಸರ್ಪದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಂದವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Their venom is like the venom of a serpent; they are like the deaf asp that stoppeth her ear;
5 ಚಮತ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಕೌಶಲ್ಯದಿಂದ ನುಡಿಸುವ ಹಾವಾಡಿಗನ ನಾದವನ್ನು ಕೇಳದ ಹಾವಿನಂತೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.
Which hearkeneth not to the voice of charmers, or of the most cunning binder of spells.
6 ಓ, ದೇವರೇ, ಅವರ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಮುರಿದು ಬೀಳಲಿ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಸಿಂಹಗಳಂತಿರುವ ಅವರ ಕೋರೆಹಲ್ಲುಗಳು ನಾಶವಾಗಲಿ.
Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth; break out the cheek-teeth of the young lions, O LORD.
7 ಅವರು ನೀರಿನಂತೆ ಕರಗಿಹೋಗಲಿ. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರಿಯಿಡುವಾಗ ಡೊಂಕಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಲಿ.
Let them melt away as water that runneth apace; when he aimeth his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off.
8 ಕರಗುವ ಗೊಂಡೆ ಹುಳದಂತೆ ಅವರು ನಾಶವಾಗಲಿ. ದಿನತುಂಬದೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಶಿಶುವಿನಂತೆ ಅವರು ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನು ಕಾಣದಿರಲಿ.
Let them be as a snail which melteth and passeth away; like the untimely births of a woman, that have not seen the sun.
9 ಗಡಿಗೆಗಳು ಮುಳ್ಳಿನ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಶಾಖವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹಸಿಯಾಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಒಣಗಿರುವಾಗಲೇ, ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿ ಹಾರಿಸಿಬಿಡುವಂತೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಗಲಿ.
Before your pots can feel the thorns, He will sweep it away with a whirlwind, the raw and the burning alike.
10 ನೀತಿವಂತರು ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗಾಗುವ ಪ್ರತಿದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಹಿಗ್ಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ದುಷ್ಟನ ರಕ್ತದ ಮೇಲಿಡಲಿ.
The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
11 ಆಗ ಜನರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು, “ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನೀತಿವಂತನಿಗೆ ಫಲವಿದೆ. ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವ ದೇವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.”
And men shall say: 'Verily there is a reward for the righteous; verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth.'
