ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 57
1 ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕನಿಗಾಗಿರುವ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಅಲ್ತಷ್ಖೇತೆಂಬ ರಾಗವನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿದೆ. ದಾವೀದನ ಮಿಕ್ಟಮ್ ಹಾಡಿನ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆ. ದಾವೀದನು ಸೌಲನ ಭಯದಿಂದ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಗುಹೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಗ ರಚಿಸಿದ ಕಾವ್ಯ. ದೇವರೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಿರಿ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಿರಿ. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ; ಆಪತ್ತುಗಳು ದಾಟುವವರೆಗೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳ ನೆರಳನ್ನೇ ನಾನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yes, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until [these] calamities are overpast.
2 ಮಹೋನ್ನತನಾದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ, ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನನಗಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ನೀಡುವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I will cry to God most high; to God that performeth [all things] for me.
3 ದೇವರು ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಸಹಾಯ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿಂದಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವರು. ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವರು.
He shall send from heaven, and save me [from] the reproach of him that would swallow me up. (Selah) God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
4 ನಾನು ಸಿಂಹಗಳಂಥವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಕ್ರೂರಮೃಗಗಳಂಥವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒತ್ತಾಯವಾಗಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವರ ಹಲ್ಲು, ಭಲ್ಲೆ, ಬಾಣಗಳೂ ಅವರ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಹದವಾದ ಖಡ್ಗವೂ ಆಗಿವೆ.
My soul [is] among lions: [and] I lie [even among] them that are set on fire, [even] the sons of men, whose teeth [are] spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
5 ಓ, ದೇವರೇ, ಆಕಾಶಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಘನವು ಮೆರೆಯಲಿ. ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ಹರಡಲಿ.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; [let] thy glory [be] above all the earth.
6 ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಕಾಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಲೆಯೊಡ್ಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಹೋಗಿದೆ. ನನ್ನ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಣಿಯನ್ನು ಅಗೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ತಾವೇ ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋದರು.
They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst of which they have fallen [themselves]. (Selah)
7 ದೇವರೇ, ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹೌದು, ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಾನು ಸಂಗೀತದೊಡನೆ ಹಾಡುವೆನು.
My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
8 ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗು, ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವೇ, ವೀಣೆಯೇ, ಕಿನ್ನರಿಯೇ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿರಿ, ನಾನು ಉದಯಕಾಲವನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳಿಸುವೆನು.
Awake, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I [myself] will awake early.
9 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುವೆನು. ಜನರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡಾಡುವೆನು.
I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: I will sing to thee among the nations.
10 ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕಿಂತ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ದೊಡ್ಡದು. ಮೇಘವನ್ನು ನಿಲುಕುವಷ್ಟು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸತ್ಯವು ಉನ್ನತವಾಗಿವೆ.
For thy mercy [is] great to the heavens, and thy truth to the clouds.
11 ಓ, ದೇವರೇ, ಆಕಾಶಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಘನವು ಮೆರೆಯಲಿ. ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ಹರಡಲಿ.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: [let] thy glory [be] above all the earth.
