ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 56
1 ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕನಿಗಾಗಿರುವ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. “ದೂರದ ಓಕ್ ಮರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾರಿವಾಳ ಕುಳಿತಿದೆ” ಎಂಬ ರಾಗವನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿದೆ. ದಾವೀದನ ಮಿಕ್ಟಮ್ ಹಾಡಿನ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆ. ದಾವೀದನ ಗತ್ ಎಂಬ ಊರಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಕೈವಶವಾದಾಗ ರಚಿಸಿದ ಕಾವ್ಯ. ದೇವರೇ ಕರುಣಿಸು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
“To the chief musician upon Jonath-elem-rechokim, by David, a Michtham, when the Philistines seized him in Gath.” Be gracious unto me, O God; for man longeth to swallow me up; all the time he oppresseth me fighting.
2 ನನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳು ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಗರ್ವದಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Those that regard me with envy long to swallow [me] up all the time; for many are they that fight against me, O thou Most High.
3 ನಾನು ಭಯಪಡುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡುವೆನು.
The day [when] I am afraid, I will still trust in thee.
4 ದೇವರ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಪಡುವೆನು. ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡುವೆನು, ನಾನು ಭಯಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಸಾಯುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನನಗೇನು ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲ?
In God will I praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid: what can flesh do unto me?
5 ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸದಾ ಅಪಾರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿರುವ ಅವರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಡಿಗಾಗಿವೆ.
All the day they wrest my words: against me are all their thoughts for evil.
6 ಅವರು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣ ತೆಗೆಯಲು ಕುತೂಹಲದಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They come together in troops, they hide themselves, they are those that watch my heels, as though they hoped [to take] my soul.
7 ಅಪರಾಧದಿಂದ ಅವರು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾರೋ? ದೇವರೇ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿ ದಂಡಿಸಿರಿ.
Because of their wrong-doing let me escape from them: in anger cast down the people, O God.
8 ನನ್ನ ಗೋಳಾಟವನ್ನು ಎಣಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸುರುಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೀರ ಲೆಕ್ಕಮಾಡಿರಿ, ಅವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿದೆಯಲ್ಲವೇ?
My wanderings hast thou well numbered: put thou my tears into thy bottle; behold, they are numbered by thee.
9 ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟಾಗ, ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವರು. ಇದರಿಂದ ದೇವರು ನನಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು.
Then shall my enemies retire backward on the day when I call [on thee]: this I know—that God is for me.
10 ನಾನು ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಪಡುವೆನು. ಹೌದು, ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಪಡುವೆನು.
In God will I praise the word: in the Lord will I praise the word.
11 ನಾನು ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆಯಿಡುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಭಯಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಮಾನವನು ನನಗೇನು ಮಾಡುವನು?
In God have I put my trust; I will not be afraid: what can man do unto me?
12 ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಹರಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಧೀನವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಉಪಕಾರ ಸ್ತುತಿಯ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವೆನು.
Upon me, O God, [rest] thy vows: I will pay thanksgiving offerings unto thee.
13 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನಾನು ಜೀವದ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಎಡವದಂತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death—yea, behold, my feet from slipping, that I may walk before God in the light of the life.
