ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 52

1 ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕನಿಗಾಗಿರುವ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ದಾವೀದನು ಅಹೀಮೆಲೆಕನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ಎದೋಮ್ಯನಾದ ದೋಯೇಗನು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಮಸ್ಕೀಲ್ ರಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವೀದನು ರಚಿಸಿದ ಪದ್ಯ. ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನೇ, ನೀನು ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಪಡುವುದೇಕೆ? ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಕೀರ್ತಿಯಾದವನೇ, ದೇವರ ಅನಂತ ಕೃಪೆಯು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಇರುವದು.

To the chief Musician: an instruction. Of David; when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David came to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thyself in evil, thou mighty man? The loving-kindness of God [abideth] continually.

2 ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡುವವನೇ, ಹದವಾದ ಕ್ಷೌರ ಕತ್ತಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

Thy tongue deviseth mischievous things, like a sharp razor, practising deceit.

3 ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನೇ ನೀನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಿ. ಸತ್ಯವನಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಸುಳ್ಳನ್ನೇ ನೀನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿ.

Thou hast loved evil rather than good, lying rather than to speak righteousness. (Selah)

4 ಮೋಸದ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ಹಾನಿಕರವಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳೇ ಇಷ್ಟ.

Thou hast loved all devouring words, O deceitful tongue!

5 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿತ್ಯ ನಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವರು. ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತುಹಾಕುವರು. ಜೀವಿತರ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೇರುಸಹಿತ ಕೀಳುವರು.

God shall likewise destroy thee for ever; he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of [thy] tent, and root thee out of the land of the living. (Selah)

6 ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಭಯಪಡುವರು. ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಗಾಡಿ ಹೀಗನ್ನುವರು,

The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him, [saying, ]

7 “ಇಗೋ, ದೇವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಬಲವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ, ತನ್ನ ಅಧಿಕ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಗೊಂಡು ಇತರರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಇವನೇ!”

Behold the man that made not God his strength, but put confidence in the abundance of his riches, [and] strengthened himself in his avarice.

8 ನಾನಾದರೋ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅಭಿವರ್ದಿಸುವ ಓಲಿವ್ ಮರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವೆನು. ದೇವರ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯುಗಯುಗಾಂತರವೂ ಭರವಸವಿಟ್ಟಿರುವೆನು.

But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I will confide in the loving-kindness of God for ever and ever.

9 ದೇವರೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಉಪಕಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭಕ್ತರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವೆನು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರನ್ನೇ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವೆನು.

I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done [it]; and I will wait on thy name, before thy godly ones, for it is good.
