ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 4
1 ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕನಿಗಾಗಿರುವ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ತಂತಿವಾದ್ಯದೊಡನೆ ಹಾಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು. ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ನನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ಕರೆಯುವಾಗ ನನಗೆ ಸದುತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಿರಿ. ನನ್ನ ಸಂಕಟದಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿರಿ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ.
Unto the end, in verses. A psalm for David. When I called upon him, the God of my justice heard me: when I was in distress, thou hast enlarged me. Have mercy on me: and hear my prayer.
2 ಓ ಮಾನವ, ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಯತನಕ ನನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಪಡಿಸುವಿ? ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಯತನಕ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ, ಸುಳ್ಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವಿ?
O ye sons of men, how long will you be dull of heart? why do you love vanity, and seek after lying?
3 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರನ್ನು ತಮಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ನಾನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ನೀಡುವರು.
Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.
4 ನಡುಗಿರಿ, ಪಾಪಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವಾಗ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧ್ಯಾನಮಾಡಿ ಮೌನವಾಗಿರಿ.
Be angry, and sin not: the things you say in your hearts, be sorry for them upon your beds.
5 ನೀತಿಯ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿರಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭರವಸೆಯನ್ನು ಇಡಿರಿ.
Offer up the sacrifice of justice, and trust in the Lord: many say, Who sheweth us good things?
6 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, “ನಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರು ಯಾರು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವವರು ಅನೇಕರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಖಪ್ರಕಾಶವು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಗಲಿ.
The light of thy countenance O Lord, is signed upon us: thou hast given gladness in my heart.
7 ಧಾನ್ಯವೂ ಹೊಸ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವೂ ಸುಗ್ಗಿಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾದಾಗ ಇರುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಅಧಿಕವಾದ ಆನಂದವನ್ನು ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
By the fruit of their corn, their wine and oil, they are multiplied.
8 ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಮಲಗಿ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವೊಬ್ಬರೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ.
In peace in the selfsame I will sleep, and I will rest: For thou, O Lord, singularly hast settled me in hope.
