ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 23

1 ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಕುರುಬ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ನನಗೆ ಕೊರತೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

Yahweh, you [care for] me [like] a shepherd [cares for his sheep]. [So] I have everything that I need.

2 ಅವರು ಹಸಿರುಗಾವಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ ಜಲರಾಶಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

You [encourage] me [and give me peace]; [you are like a shepherd] who leads [his sheep] to places where there is plenty of green grass [for them to eat], and lets them rest beside streams where the water [is flowing] slowly.

3 ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಚೈತನ್ಯಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀತಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

You renew my strength. You guide me along the roads that are the right ones [for me] in order that I can honor you.

4 ನಾನು ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲಿನ ಕಣಿವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವಾಗಲೂ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಕೇಡಿಗೆ ಹೆದರೆನು; ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೊಣ್ಣೆಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೋಲೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುತ್ತವೆ.

Even when I am walking through very dangerous dark ravines where I might be killed, I will not be afraid of anything because you are with me. You protect me [like a shepherd protects his sheep]. [He uses] his club and his walking stick [to protect them from being attacked by wild animals].

5 ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ನನಗೊಂದು ಔತಣವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ. ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಗೆ ತೈಲವನ್ನು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ. ನನ್ನ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯು ತುಂಬಿ ಹೊರಸೂಸುತ್ತದೆ.

You prepare a [great] feast for me, in a place where my enemies can see me. You [joyfully receive me], [as people joyfully receive the guests they have invited] [by] pouring [olive] oil over their heads. You have given me very many blessings!

6 ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಶುಭವೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುತ್ತವೆ; ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ವಾಸಿಸುವೆನು.

I am certain that you will be good to me and act mercifully toward me as long as I live; and [then, O] Yahweh, I will live in your home [in heaven] forever.
