ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 19
1 ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕನಿಗಾಗಿರುವ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಆಕಾಶವು ದೇವರ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತದೆ; ಅಂತರಿಕ್ಷವು ಅವರ ಕೈಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಘೋಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
[When people look at everything that] God [has placed in] the skies, they can see that he is very great; they can see the great things that he has created.
2 ಹಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತವೆ; ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವು ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
Day after day [it is as though the sun] proclaims [the glory of God], and night after night [it is as though the moon and stars] say that they know [that God made them].
3 ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾತೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಪದವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಅವುಗಳ ಸ್ವರವು ಕೇಳುವುದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
They do not really speak; they do not say any words. There is no voice [from them] for anyone to hear.
4 ಅವುಗಳ ಧ್ವನಿ ಭೂಲೋಕವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹರಡಿವೆ; ಅವುಗಳ ಮಾತುಗಳೋ ಲೋಕದ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ; ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ಸೂರ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಗುಡಾರ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
But what they declare [about God] goes throughout the world, and [even people who live in] the most distant/remote places on earth can know it. The sun is in the skies where God placed it [MET];
5 ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಮದುಮಗನಂತೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೊಠಡಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಬಂದು, ಪಂದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಓಡುವ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಯಂತೆ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ.
it rises each morning like a bridegroom [who is happy] as he comes out of his bedroom after his wedding. It is like a strong athlete who is very eager to start running in a race.
6 ಆಕಾಶದ ಒಂದು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಉದಯಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಕಡೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅದರ ಬಿಸಿಲಿಗೆ ಮರೆಯಾದದ್ದು ಒಂದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
The sun rises at one side of the sky and goes across [the sky and sets on] the other side, and nothing can hide from its heat.
7 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ನಿಯಮವು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಜೀವಕರವಾಗಿದೆ; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಶಾಸನಗಳು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮುಗ್ಧನನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ.
The instructions that Yahweh has given us are perfect; they (revive us/give us new strength). We can be sure that the things that Yahweh has told us will never change, and [by learning them] people who have not been previously taught/instructed will become wise.
8 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸೂತ್ರಗಳು ನೀತಿಯುಳ್ಳವುಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವು ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆನಂದಕರವಾಗಿವೆ; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಕರವಾಗಿವೆ.
Yahweh’s laws are fair/just; [when we obey them], we become joyful. The commands of Yahweh are clear, and [by reading them] [PRS] we start to understand [how God wants us to behave].
9 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಭಯವು ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ತೀರ್ಪುಗಳು ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ನೀತಿಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿವೆ.
It is good for people to revere Yahweh; that is something that they will do forever. What Yahweh has decided is fair, and it is always right.
10 ಅವು ಬಂಗಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ, ಅಪರಂಜಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾಗಿವೆ; ಅವು ಜೇನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ, ಅಪ್ಪಟ ಜೇನುತುಪ್ಪಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಸಿಹಿಯಾಗಿವೆ.
The things that God has decided are more valuable than gold, even the finest/purest gold. They are sweeter than honey that drips from honeycombs.
11 ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನು ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವುಂಟು.
Furthermore, [by reading them] I learn [what things are good to do and what things are evil], and they promise a great reward to [us who] obey them.
12 ತಮ್ಮ ತಪ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯ? ನನ್ನ ಗುಪ್ತ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸು.
But there is no one who can know all his errors [RHQ]; so Yahweh, forgive me for these things which I do that I do not realize are wrong.
13 ಬೇಕುಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪಾಪಮಾಡದಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡು; ಅಂಥ ಪಾಪಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳಿಕೆ ಮಾಡದಿರಲಿ. ಆಗ ನಾನು ತಪ್ಪಿಲ್ಲದವನಾಗಿ, ಮಹಾಪರಾಧದಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿರುವೆನು.
Keep me from doing things that I know are wrong; do not let my sinful desires control me. If you do that, I will no longer be guilty for committing such sins, and I will not commit the great sin [of rebelling terribly] against you.
14 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನನ್ನ ಬಂಡೆಯೇ, ನನ್ನ ವಿಮೋಚಕರೇ, ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮಾತುಗಳೂ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಧ್ಯಾನವೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರಲಿ.
O Yahweh, you are [like] an [overhanging] rock [MET] under which I can be safe; you are the one who protects me. I hope/desire that the things that I say and what I think will [always] please you.
