ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 124

1 ದಾವೀದನ ಯಾತ್ರಾ ಗೀತೆ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಇರದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಏನಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು ಎಂದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೇ ಹೇಳಲಿ.

A Canticle in steps. If the Lord had not been with us, let Israel now say it:

2 ವೈರಿಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದಾಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಇರದಿದ್ದರೆ,

if the Lord had not been with us, when men rose up against us,

3 ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ರೋಷಗೊಂಡು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

perhaps they would have swallowed us alive. When their fury was enraged against us,

4 ಆಗ ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮುಳುಗಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ತೊರೆಯು ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

perhaps the waters would have engulfed us.

5 ರಭಸ ಪ್ರವಾಹ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

Our soul has passed through a torrent. Perhaps, our soul had even passed through intolerable water.

6 ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ವೈರಿಗಳ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಟೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಡದೆ ಇದ್ದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ.

Blessed is the Lord, who has not given us into the harm of their teeth.

7 ನಾವು ಬೇಟೆಗಾರರ ಬಲೆಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಪಕ್ಷಿಯಂತೆ ಇದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಾವು ಹರಿದುಹೋದ ಬಲೆಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆವು.

Our soul has been snatched away like a sparrow from the snare of the hunters. The snare has been broken, and we have been freed.

8 ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹಾಯವು ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನೂ, ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒದಗಿ ಬಂತು.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
