ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 116
1 ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬ ನನ್ನ ವಿನಂತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
I love Yahweh, because he hears me when I cry for him to help me.
2 ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನಕಾಲವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೇಡುವೆನು.
He listens to me, so I will call out to him all during my life.
3 ಮರಣದ ಪಾಶಗಳು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆವರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವು; ನರಕದ ಬಾಧೆಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದವು; ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟೂ ದುಃಖವೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದವು. (Sheol h7585)
Everything around me [MET] caused me to think that I would die; I was very afraid that I would [die and go to] the place where dead people are. I was very distressed/worried and afraid. (Sheol h7585)
4 ಆಗ ನಾನು, “ಓ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಡಿದೆನು.
[But] then I called out to Yahweh, saying, “Yahweh, I plead with you to save/rescue me!”
5 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಕೃಪೆಯೂ ನೀತಿಯೂ ಉಳ್ಳವರು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು ಅನುಕಂಪ ಭರಿತರು.
Yahweh is kind and does what is right; he is our God, and he acts mercifully [to us].
6 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಸರಳ ಹೃದಯದವರನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ನಾನು ಕೊರತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು.
He protects those who (are helpless/cannot defend themselves); and when I thought that I would die, he saved me.
7 ನನ್ನ ಮನವೇ, ನೀನು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಿಂದಿರು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಉಪಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
I must encourage/tell myself to (have inner peace/not worry any more), because Yahweh has done very good things for me.
8 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರಣಕ್ಕೂ, ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿಗೂ, ನನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಬೀಳದಂತೆಯೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
Yahweh has saved me [SYN] from dying, and has kept/protected me from [troubles that would cause me to] cry. He has kept/protected me from stumbling.
9 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜೀವಿತರ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು.
[So here] on the earth, where people are still alive, I live knowing that Yahweh is [directing] me.
10 “ನಾನು ಬಹಳ ಕುಗ್ಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ,” ಎಂದು ನಾನು ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಟ್ಟಾಗ ಹೇಳಿದೆ.
I continued to believe/trust [in Yahweh], even when I said, “I am greatly afflicted/troubled.”
11 “ಮನುಷ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರರು,” ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿರಾಶೆಯಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೆನು.
[Even] when I was distressed/worried and said, “I cannot trust anyone,” [I continued to trust in Yahweh].
12 ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಉಪಕಾರಗಳಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಲಿ?
So now [I will tell you] [RHQ] what I will offer to Yahweh, because of all the good things that he has done for me.
13 ನಾನು ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವೆನು.
I will offer to him a cup [of wine] to thank him for saving/rescuing me.
14 ನಾನು ಹೊತ್ತ ಹರಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ದೇವಜನರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವೆನು.
When I am together with many [HYP] people who belong to Yahweh, I will give to him the offerings that I solemnly promised to give to him.
15 ದೇವರ ಭಕ್ತರ ಮರಣವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
Yahweh is very grieved/sad when one of his people dies.
16 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನು; ಹೌದು, ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ನಾನು ಸಹ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನು; ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಬಂಧನಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
I am one of those who serve Yahweh; I serve him like my mother did. He has freed/saved me from dying (OR, from being fastened by chains).
17 ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವೆನು; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವೆನು.
[So] I will offer to him a sacrifice to thank him, and I will pray to him.
18 ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮೇ, ನನ್ನ ಹರಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ದೇವಜನರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವೆನು,
When I am together with many of [HYP] the people who belong to Yahweh, [in the courtyard] outside his temple in Jerusalem, I will give to him the offerings that I solemnly promised to give to him. Praise Yahweh!
19 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಅಂಗಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವೆನು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿರಿ.
