ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು 1
1 ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸನೂ ದಾವೀದನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು:
The parables of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel.
2 ಜನರು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೂ ಶಿಸ್ತನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ; ವಿವೇಕದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ;
To know wisdom, and instruction:
3 ಅಂದರೆ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ವಿವೇಕ ನಡವಳಿ, ಸರಿಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದು ನ್ಯಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ಯುಕ್ತವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವ ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು;
To understand the words of prudence: and to receive the instruction of doctrine, justice, and judgment, and equity:
4 ಮುಗ್ಧರಿಗೆ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನೂ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರಿಗೆ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ವವಿವೇಚನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಈ ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳಿವೆ.
To give subtilty to little ones, to the young man knowledge and understanding.
5 ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯು ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ; ವಿವೇಚಿಸುವವರು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ.
A wise man shall hear and shall be wiser: and he that understandeth, shall possess governments.
6 ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು, ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು, ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ಮಾತು ಹಾಗೂ ಒಗಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಇವು ಬರೆಯಲಾಗಿವೆ.
He shall understand a parable, and the interpretation, the words of the wise, and their mysterious sayings.
7 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಭಯವೇ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮೂಲವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮೂರ್ಖರು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನೂ ಅಸಡ್ಡೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Fools despise wisdom and instruction.
8 ಮಗನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ತೊರೆಯಬೇಡ.
My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
9 ಅವು ನಿನ್ನ ತಲೆಗೆ ಸುಂದರ ಕಿರೀಟ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೊರಳನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸುವ ಹಾರ.
That grace may be added to thy head, and a chain of gold to thy neck.
10 ಮಗನೇ, ಪಾಪಿಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೆಳೆದರೆ ನೀನು ಒಪ್ಪಬೇಡ.
My son, if sinners shall entice thee, consent not to them.
11 ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ, “ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಾ, ಜನರ ರಕ್ತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡೋಣ, ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯ ರಕ್ತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ;
If they shall say: Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood, let us hide snares for the innocent without cause:
12 ಸಮಾಧಿಯು ನುಂಗುವಂತೆ ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ದಾಳಿಮಾಡೋಣ ಗುಂಡಿಯೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಅವರನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡೋಣ. (Sheol h7585)
Let us swallow him up alive like hell, and whole as one that goeth down into the pit. (Sheol h7585)
13 ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾವು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿದು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಹೊಡೆದು ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ;
We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoils.
14 ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚೀಟನ್ನು ಹಾಕು, ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹಣಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವುದಾದರೆ.
Cast in thy lot with us, let us all have one purse.
15 ಮಗನೇ, ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಬೇಡ, ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಿಡಬೇಡ.
My son, walk not thou with them, restrain thy foot from their paths.
16 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರ ಪಾದಗಳು ಕೇಡಿಗೆ ಓಡುತ್ತವೆ, ರಕ್ತಸುರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತುರಪಡುತ್ತವೆ.
For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
17 ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣುವಂತೆ ಬಲೆಯನ್ನು ಹರಡುವುದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಲ್ಲವೇ!
But a net is spread in vain before the eyes of them that have wings.
18 ಈ ಜನರು ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡುವುದು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ರಕ್ತಕ್ಕೆ. ಅವರು ಮಾಡುವ ದುರಾಲೋಚನೆ ಅವರನ್ನೇ ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದು.
And they themselves lie in wait for their own blood, and practise deceits against their own souls.
19 ಅಕ್ರಮ ಲಾಭದ ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟಿ ಹೋಗುವವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಗತಿ ಇದೇ. ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಗಾರರ ಜೀವವನ್ನೇ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಮಾಡುವದು.
So the wage of every covetous man destroy the souls of the possessors.
20 ಜ್ಞಾನವೆಂಬಾಕೆಯು ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾಳೆ, ಬಹಿರಂಗ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಧ್ವನಿಗೈಯುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
Wisdom preacheth abroad, she uttereth her voice in the streets:
21 ಜನಭರಿತ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾಳೆ, ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀಗೆಂದು ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ:
At the head of multitudes she crieth out, in the entrance of the gates of the city she uttereth her words, saying:
22 “ಮುಗ್ಧರೇ ನೀವು ಎಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ಮುಗ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವಿರಿ. ಕುಚೋದ್ಯಗಾರರೇ ಎಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ಕುಚೋದ್ಯಗಾರರಾಗಿರಲು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುವಿರಿ? ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನರೇ, ಎಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ಪರಿಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡುವಿರಿ?
O children, how long will you love childishness, and fools covet those things which are hurtful to themselves, and the unwise hate knowledge?
23 ನನ್ನ ಗದರಿಕೆ ಕೇಳಿ ನೀವು ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಡಿರಿ! ಆಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಬೋಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುವೆನು.
Turn ye at my reproof: behold I will utter my spirit to you, and will shew you my words.
24 ನಾನು ಕರೆದಾಗ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಚಾಚಿದಾಗ ಯಾರೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ ಗಮನಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Because I called, and you refused: I stretched out my hand, and there was none that regarded.
25 ನನ್ನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ಬೇಡವೆಂದು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ
You have despised all my counsel, and have neglected my reprehensions.
26 ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯಂತೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ವಿಪತ್ತು ಬಂದಾಗ ನಾನು ನಗುವೆನು. ಆಪತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿಕ್ಕಿದಾಗ, ನಾನು ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
I also will laugh in your destruction, and will mock when that shall come to you which you feared.
27 ಚಂಡಮಾರುತವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯಂತೆ ತಾಕಿದಾಗ, ವಿಪತ್ತು ಸುಂಟರಗಾಳಿಯಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಸಿದಾಗ, ಯಾತನೆ ಮತ್ತು ತೊಂದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆವರಿಸಿದಾಗಲೂ ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುವಿರಿ.
When sudden calamity shall fall on you, and destruction, as a tempest, shall be at hand: when tribulation and distress shall come upon you:
28 “ಆಗ ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವರು, ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡೆನು. ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆತುರದಿಂದ ಹುಡುಕುವರು, ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Then shall they call upon me, and I will not hear: they shall rise in the morning and shall not find me:
29 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವುದನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಹೋದರು.
Because they have hated instruction and received not the fear of the Lord,
30 ನನ್ನ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಾದವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸದೆ, ನನ್ನ ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಸಡ್ಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
Nor consented to my counsel, but despised all my reproof.
31 ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ನಡತೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and shall be filled with their own devices.
32 ಮುಗ್ಧರ ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪುವಿಕೆಯು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದು. ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನರ ನಿಶ್ಚಿಂತೆಯು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದು.
The turning away of little ones shall kill them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
33 ನನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವವರಾದರೋ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತರಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವರು, ಕೇಡಿನ ಭಯವಿಲ್ಲದೇ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಿಂದ ಇರುವರು.”
But he that shall hear me, shall rest without terror, and shall enjoy abundance, without fear of evils.
