ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು 9
1 ಜ್ಞಾನ ಎಂಬಾಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ; ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಏಳು ಕಂಬಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆತ್ತಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
Wisdom hath builded her house; She hath hewn out her seven pillars.
2 ಆಕೆಯು ಮಾಂಸದ ಆಹಾರನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿ, ತನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಬೆರೆಸಿ, ತನ್ನ ಮೇಜನ್ನು ಸಹ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದಳು.
She hath killed her fatlings; She hath mingled her wine; Yea, she hath furnished her table.
3 ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ; ಆಕೆಯು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಅತಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾಳೆ,
She hath sent forth her maidens; She crieth aloud upon the highest places of the city:
4 “ಯಾರು ಮುಗ್ಧರೋ ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರಲಿ,” ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವವನಿಗೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ,
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in hither!” To him that is void of understanding she saith,
5 “ಬಾ, ನನ್ನ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ತಿಂದು, ನಾನು ಬೆರೆಸಿದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿ,” ಎಂದೂ
“Come, eat of my bread, And drink of the wine which I have mingled!
6 “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೂಢತ್ವವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಾಳಿರಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಿವೇಕದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗು,” ಎಂದೂ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
Forsake folly, and live! And go forward in the way of understanding!
7 ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವವನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸುವವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು; ದುಷ್ಟನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸುವವನು ತನಗೆ ತಾನೇ ಕಳಂಕವನ್ನು ತಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
“He who correcteth a scoffer Bringeth shame upon himself; And he who rebuketh the wicked Bringeth upon himself a stain.
8 ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವವನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಬೇಡ ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡುವನು; ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡುವನು.
Rebuke not a scoffer, lest he hate thee; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
9 ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತನಾಗಿರುವನು; ನೀತಿವಂತನಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser; Teach a righteous man, and he will increase his learning.
10 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಭಯವೇ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂಲವು. ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರ ಪರಿಜ್ಞಾನವೇ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Most Holy is understanding.
11 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವನದ ದಿನಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚುವುವು; ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವನದ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುವುವು.
Yea, through me thy days shall be multiplied, And the years of thy life shall be increased.
12 ನೀನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ನಿನಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲ ಕೊಡುವುದು; ನೀನು ನಿಂದಿಸುವವನಾದರೆ, ನೀನೇ ಅದರ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಿ.
If thou art wise, thou art wise for thyself; And if thou art a scoffer, thou alone must bear it.”
13 ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನಳಾದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಕೂಗಾಟದವಳು; ಅವಳು ಅರಿವಿಲ್ಲದವಳು, ಏನೂ ತಿಳಿಯದವಳು.
The foolish woman is clamorous; She is very simple, and careth for nothing.
14 ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು, ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಪೀಠದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತು,
She sitteth at the door of her house, Upon a seat in the high places of the city,
15 ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಹೋಗುವ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾಳೆ,
To call aloud to those that pass by, Who go straight forward in their ways,
16 “ಯಾರು ಮುಗ್ಧರೋ ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರಲಿ,” ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವವನಿಗೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ,
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in hither!” And to him that is void of understanding she saith,
17 “ಕದ್ದ ನೀರು ಸಿಹಿಯಾಗಿದೆ; ರಹಸ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿನ್ನುವ ಆಹಾರವು ರುಚಿಯಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
“Stolen water is sweet, And bread eaten in secret is pleasant.”
