ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು 5
1 ಮಗನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಗಮನಕೊಡು; ನನ್ನ ಒಳನೋಟದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು.
My son, attend unto my wisdom, [and] bow thine ear to my understanding:
2 ಆಗ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿವೇಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವವು.
That thou mayest regard discretion, and [that] thy lips may keep knowledge.
3 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಜಾರಿಣಿಯ ತುಟಿಗಳು ಜೇನುಗರೆಯುವುದು; ಅವಳ ಮಾತು ಎಣ್ಣೆಗಿಂತಲೂ ಮೃದು.
For the lips of a strange woman drop [as] an honeycomb, and her mouth [is] smoother than oil:
4 ಆದರೆ ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಳು ಮಾಚಿಪತ್ರೆಯಂತೆ ಕಹಿಯೂ, ಇಬ್ಬಾಯಿ ಖಡ್ಗದಂತೆ ಹರಿತವೂ ಆಗಿರುವಳು.
But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.
Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. (Sheol h7585)
6 ಜೀವಮಾರ್ಗದ ವಿಚಾರ ಅವಳಿಗಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವಳ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ಚಂಚಲವಾಗಿವೆ, ಅದರ ಅರಿವೂ ಅವಳಿಗಿಲ್ಲ.
Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, [that] thou canst not know [them].
7 ಮಕ್ಕಳಿರಾ, ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಈಗ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ; ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಬೇಡಿರಿ.
Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
8 ಅವಳ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ದೂರಮಾಡು; ಅವಳ ಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಿಲ ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗದೆ ಇರು.
Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:
9 ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಕಳೆಯಬೇಡ, ನಿನ್ನ ಘನತೆನ್ನು ಕ್ರೂರನಿಗೂ ಕೊಡಬೇಡ.
Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:
10 ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಪರರು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಂತೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಸದ ಫಲವು ಪರರ ಮನೆ ಸೇರದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೋ.
Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours [be] in the house of a stranger;
11 ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವನದ ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಹವೂ ಕ್ಷೀಣಿಸಿದಾಗ, ನೀನು ನರಳಬೇಕಾದೀತು.
And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,
12 ಆಗ ನೀನು, “ಶಿಸ್ತನ್ನು ನಾನು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿತು.
And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
13 ನನ್ನ ಬೋಧಕರ ಸ್ವರಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ವಿಧೇಯನಾಗದೆ ಹೋದೆ. ನನ್ನ ಉಪದೇಶಕರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಕಿವಿಗೊಡದೆ ಹೋದೆ.
And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!
14 ನಾನು ದೇವರ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಂಭೀರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವೆ.
I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.
15 ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಕೊಳದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಬಾವಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಉಕ್ಕಿಬರುವ ಜಲವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿ.
Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.
16 ನಿನ್ನ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳು ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಡುವುದು ಯುಕ್ತವೋ? ನೀರಿನ ಒರತೆಗಳು ಬೀದಿಚೌಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಯುವುದು ಸರಿಯೇ?
Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, [and] rivers of waters in the streets.
17 ಅವು ನಿನಗೆ ಸ್ವಂತವಾಗಿರಲಿ; ಪರರು ಭಾಗಿಗಳಾಗಿರಬಾರದು.
Let them be only thine own, and not strangers’ with thee.
18 ನಿನ್ನ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಹೊಂದಲಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ಆನಂದವು ಯೌವನದ ಕಾಲದ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯೊಂದಿಗಿರಲಿ.
Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.
19 ಆಕೆಯು ಮನೋಹರವಾದ ಹರಿಣಿ, ಅಂದವಾದ ಜಿಂಕೆಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ; ಆಕೆಯ ಎದೆಯು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸದಾ ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡಿಸಲಿ; ಆಕೆಯ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ನೀನು ಸದಾ ಪರವಶನಾಗಿರು.
[Let her be as] the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.
20 ಮಗನೇ, ಬೇರೆಯವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಗೆ ವಶವಾಗುವುದೇಕೆ? ಅನ್ಯಳ ಎದೆಯನ್ನೇಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆ?
And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?
21 ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಇವೆ. ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
For the ways of man [are] before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
22 ದುಷ್ಟನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಸ್ವಂತ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳೇ ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತವೆ; ತನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳ ಪಾಶಗಳೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.
23 ಶಿಸ್ತುಪಾಲನೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ನಾಶವಾಗುವನು; ತನ್ನ ಅತಿಮೂರ್ಖತನದಿಂದಲೇ ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋಗುವನು.
He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
