ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು 15
1 ಮೃದುವಾದ ಉತ್ತರವು ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸಿಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಬಿರುಸಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
A soft answer, turneth away wrath, but a cutting word raiseth anger.
2 ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಪರಿಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹರಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಮೂರ್ಖತನವನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆಡವುತ್ತದೆ.
The tongue of the wise, adorneth knowledge, —but, the mouth of dullards, belcheth out folly.
3 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವೆ. ಕೆಟ್ಟವರನ್ನೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವರು.
In every place, are the eyes of Yahweh, observing the evil and the good.
4 ಹಿತವಾದ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಜೀವವೃಕ್ಷ. ಆದರೆ ವಕ್ರ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಆತ್ಮಚೈತನ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದು.
Gentleness of the tongue, is a tree of life, but, crookedness therein, a grievous wound in the spirit.
5 ಮೂರ್ಖನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಶಿಸ್ತನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಜಾಣನು ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವನು.
A foolish [son], spurneth the correction of his father, but, he that heedeth a reproof, sheweth prudence.
6 ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಸಂಪತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟನ ಆದಾಯವು ವಿನಾಶ ತರುವುದು.
The household of the righteous man, is a great treasure, but, in the increase of the lawless, is disturbance.
7 ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ತುಟಿಗಳು ಪರಿಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹರಡುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರ ಹೃದಯವು ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
The lips of the wise, scatter abroad knowledge, but, the heart of dullards, is not right.
8 ದುಷ್ಟರ ಯಜ್ಞವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ. ಆದರೆ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ.
The sacrifice of lawless men, is an abomination to Yahweh, but, the prayer of the upright, is his delight.
9 ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯ. ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವವನನ್ನು ಅವರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
An abomination to Yahweh, is the way of the lawless, but, the pursuer of righteousness, he loveth.
10 ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟವನಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯು ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುವವನು ಸಾಯುವನು.
There is, grievous correction, for him that forsaketh the right path, He that hateth rebuke, shall die.
Hades and destruction, are before Yahweh, how much more then, the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)
12 ಕುಚೋದ್ಯಗಾರನು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಾದವನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳಿಂದ ದೂರವಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
A scoffer, loveth not, one who reproveth him, unto the wise, doth he not go.
13 ಸಂತೋಷದ ಹೃದಯವು ಹರ್ಷವುಳ್ಳ ಮುಖಭಾವ ತೋರುವುದು. ಆದರೆ ನೊಂದ ಹೃದಯವು ಆತ್ಮಚೈತನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕುಂದಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
A joyful heart, maketh a pleasing countenance, —but, in sorrow of heart, is a stricken spirit.
14 ವಿವೇಕವುಳ್ಳವನ ಹೃದಯವು ಪರಿಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಮೂರ್ಖತನವನ್ನೇ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತದೆ.
The heart of the intelligent, seeketh knowledge, but, the mouth of dullards, feedeth on folly.
15 ಬಾಧಿತರ ದಿನಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ದುಃಖಭರಿತ. ಆದರೆ ಸಂತೋಷ ಹೃದಯವುಳ್ಳವನಿಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಔತಣ.
All the days of the afflicted, are sorrowful, but, a cheerful heart, is a continual banquet.
16 ತೊಂದರೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿಗಿಂತ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಭಯದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಅಲ್ಪವೇ ಮೇಲು.
Better is a little, with the reverence of Yahweh, than great treasure, and disquietude therewith.
17 ದ್ವೇಷವಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಎತ್ತಿನ ಮಾಂಸಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಸ್ಯಾಹಾರ ಊಟವೇ ಉತ್ತಮ.
Better is an allowance of herbs, and love, there, than a fatted ox, and hatred therewith.
18 ಕೋಪಿಷ್ಟನು ವಿವಾದವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವನು. ಆದರೆ ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಇರುವವನು ಜಗಳವನ್ನು ಶಾಂತಗೊಳಿಸುವನು.
A wrathful man, stirreth up strife, but, he that is slow to anger, calmeth contention.
19 ಸೋಮಾರಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಮುಳ್ಳಿನ ಬೇಲಿಯಂತೆ ಇದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತನ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ರಾಜಮಾರ್ಗ.
The way of the sluggard, is like a thorn hedge, but, the path of the upright, is a raised road.
20 ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಮಗನು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಾದರೋ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
A wise son, maketh a glad father, —but, a dullard, despiseth his own mother.
21 ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನು ಮೂರ್ಖತನದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಿಸುವನು. ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವವನು ನೇರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
Folly, is joy to him that lacketh sense, —but, a man of understanding, taketh a straight course.
22 ಸಲಹೆಯ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ವಿಫಲಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಬಹುಮಂದಿ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅವು ಸಫಲಗೊಳ್ಳುವುವು.
Plans, are frustrated, for lack of consultation, but, by the multitude of counsellors, shall counsel, be established.
23 ಸೂಕ್ತವಾದ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ತಕ್ಕ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡಿದ ಮಾತು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು.
A man hath joy, in the answer of his own mouth, and, a word in its season, —how good!
24 ಜೀವದ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಜಾಣನನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತುವುದು. ಅದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿಯುವದರಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದು. (Sheol h7585)
The way of life, is upwards to the prudent, that he may depart from hades beneath. (Sheol h7585)
25 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಗರ್ವಿಷ್ಠರ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡುವರು, ಆದರೆ ವಿಧವೆಯರ ಮೇರೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ನೆಲೆಗೊಳಿಸುವರು.
The house of proud men, will Yahweh tear down, but he will maintain the boundary of the widow.
26 ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಸೌಜನ್ಯಶೀಲ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಅವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿವೆ.
An abomination to Yahweh, are the plottings of the wicked, but, with the pure, are sayings of sweetness.
27 ದುರಾಶೆಯುಳ್ಳವನು ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಲಂಚವನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುವವನು ಬದುಕುವನು.
He, troubleth his own house, who graspeth with greed, but, he that hateth gifts, shall live.
28 ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಹೃದಯವು ಹೇಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೋಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಕೆಟ್ಟವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆಡವುತ್ತದೆ.
The heart of the righteous, studieth to answer, but, the mouth of the lawless, belcheth out mischiefs.
29 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ದೂರ; ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Far off is Yahweh, from the lawless, but, the prayer of the righteous, will he hear.
30 ಹರ್ಷಚಿತ್ತದ ನೋಟವು ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತದೆ. ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವಾರ್ತೆಯು ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನು ಪುಷ್ಟಿಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
The sparkling of bright eyes, rejoiceth the heart, Good news, giveth marrow to the bones.
31 ಜೀವದ ಗದರಿಕೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವವನು, ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ವಾಸಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
The ear that heareth the reproof which giveth life, in the midst of the wise, shall remain.
32 ಶಿಸ್ತನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವವನು, ತನಗೆ ತಾನೆ ಹಾನಿ ತಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಗದರಿಕೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವವನು ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
He that declineth correction, despiseth his own soul, but, he that heareth reproof, gaineth sense.
33 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಭಯವೇ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ನಮ್ರತೆ ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ಬರುತ್ತದೆ.
The reverence of Yahweh, is the correction of wisdom, and, before honour, is humility.
