ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು 11
1 ಮೋಸದ ತಕ್ಕಡಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ನ್ಯಾಯದ ತೂಕ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ.
A false balance is an abomination to Adonai, but accurate weights are his delight.
2 ಗರ್ವ ಬಂದಾಗ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯೂ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ; ಆದರೆ ದೀನತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಬರುವುದು.
When pride comes, then comes shame, but with humility comes wisdom.
3 ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವುದು; ಅಪನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರ ಕಪಟತನವೇ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುವುದು.
The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them.
4 ಉಗ್ರತೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಲಾಭಕರವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿಯ ನಡತೆ ಮರಣದಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸುವುದು.
Riches don’t profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.
5 ನಿಷ್ಕಳಂಕರ ನೀತಿಯು ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸರಾಗ ಮಾಡುವುದು; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ತಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವದಿಂದಲೇ ಬೀಳುವರು.
The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way, but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
6 ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ನೀತಿಯು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವುದು; ಆದರೆ ಅಪನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರು ದುಷ್ಟ ಆಸೆಗಳಿಂದ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them, but the unfaithful will be trapped by evil desires.
7 ದುಷ್ಟನು ಸಾಯುವಾಗ ಅವನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು ಹಾಳಾಗುವುವು; ತನ್ನ ಬಲದಿಂದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಾಗುವುದು.
When a wicked man dies, hope perishes, and expectation of vain striving of iniquity comes to nothing.
8 ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ದುಷ್ಟನು ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬೀಳುವನು.
A upright person is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked takes his place.
9 ಒಬ್ಬ ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನನು ಬಾಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತನು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಬಿಡಿಸಲಾಗುವನು.
With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but the upright will be delivered through knowledge.
10 ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಹೊಂದಿದರೆ, ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರು ನಾಶವಾದರೆ, ಜಯೋತ್ಸವ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
When it goes well with the upright, the city rejoices. When the wicked perish, there is shouting.
11 ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದಿಂದ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಅದು ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
By the blessing of the upright, the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12 ಜ್ಞಾನವಿಲ್ಲದವನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರಯವನನ್ನು ಹೀನೈಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಮೌನವಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
One who despises his neighbor is void of wisdom, but a man of understanding holds his peace.
13 ಚಾಡಿಕೋರನು ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನು ಆ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತಾನೆ.
One who brings gossip betrays a confidence, but one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret.
14 ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಆದರೆ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರ ಸಮೂಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಭದ್ರತೆ ಇದೆ.
Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory.
15 ಅನ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಹೊಣೆಯಾಗುವವನು ಹಾನಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಹೊಣೆಗಾರನಾಗಿರದವನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿರುವನು.
He who is collateral for a stranger will suffer for it, but he who refuses pledges of collateral is secure.
16 ದಯೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ, ನಿಷ್ಕರುಣ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
A chen ·gracious· woman obtains kavod ·weighty glory·, but violent men obtain riches.
17 ದಯೆಯುಳ್ಳವನು ತನಗೆ ತಾನೇ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಕಠೋರಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
The man of chesed ·loving-kindness· does good to his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.
18 ದುಷ್ಟನು ಮೋಸದ ಸಂಬಳವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುವವನಿಗೆ ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾದ ಬಹುಮಾನವಿರುವುದು.
Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
19 ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಚಲವಾಗಿರುವವನು ಜೀವ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಮರಣವನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾನೆ.
He who is truly upright gets life. He who pursues evil gets death.
20 ವಕ್ರ ಹೃದಯವುಳ್ಳವರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದವರು, ಆದರೆ, ಸನ್ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಇರುವವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಆನಂದಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Those who are perverse in heart are an abomination to Adonai, but those whose ways are blameless are his delight.
21 ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ತಪ್ಪುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀತಿವಂತರ ವಂಶವು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಹೊಂದುವುದು.
Most certainly, the evil man will not be unpunished, but the offspring of the upright will be delivered.
22 ಹಂದಿಯ ಮೂಗಿಗೆ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಮೂಗುತಿಯು ಹೇಗೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ವಿವೇಕವಿಲ್ಲದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವು.
Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout, is a beautiful woman who lacks discretion.
23 ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯು ಶುಭಕ್ಕಾಸ್ಪದ, ದುಷ್ಟರ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯು ತೀರ್ಪಿಗೀಡು.
The desire of the upright is only good. The expectation of the wicked is wrath.
24 ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಉದಾರವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಯಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಅವನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನು ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಹಿಡಿದರೂ ಅವನು ಬಡತನಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
There is one who scatters, and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty.
25 ಉದಾರಿಯು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದುವನು; ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಚೈತನ್ಯ ಕೊಡುವವನು ಚೈತನ್ಯ ಹೊಂದುವನು.
The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself.
26 ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನನ್ನು ಜನರು ಶಪಿಸುವರು; ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾರುವವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು.
People curse someone who withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.
27 ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಕುವವನು ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವನಿಗೆ ಕೇಡೇ ಆಗುವುದು.
He who diligently seeks good seeks favor, but he who searches after evil, it shall come to him.
28 ತನ್ನ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡುವವನು ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವನು, ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಹಸಿರೆಲೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಚಿಗುರುವರು.
He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the upright shall flourish as the green leaf.
29 ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುವವನು ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದುವನು; ಮೂರ್ಖನು ಜ್ಞಾನನಿಗೆ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿರುವನು.
He who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind. The foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.
30 ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಫಲವು ಜೀವವೃಕ್ಷ; ಆತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲುವವನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
The fruit of the upright is a tree of life. He who is wise wins souls.
31 ಇಗೋ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರು ತಮ್ಮ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಲಿಕ್ಕಿರುವಾಗ, ದುಷ್ಟರು ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಪಿಗಳು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Behold, the upright are paid what they deserve here on earth; how much more the wicked and the sinner ·deviant (from the standard goal) person·!
