ಅರಣ್ಯಕಾಂಡ 22
1 ನಂತರ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಹೊರಟು ಯೊರ್ದನಿಗೆ ಈಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಬಯಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆರಿಕೋ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಇಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು.
And thei yeden forth, and settiden tentis in the feeldi places of Moab, where Jerico is set ouer Jordan.
2 ಆದರೆ ಚಿಪ್ಪೋರನ ಮಗ ಬಾಲಾಕನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಅಮೋರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡಿದನು.
Forsothe Balach, the sone of Sephor, siy alle thingis whiche Israel hadde do to Ammorrei,
3 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೋವಾಬಿನವರು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಬಹಳ ಜನರಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಅಂಜಿದರು. ಮೋವಾಬಿನವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ದಿಗಿಲುಪಟ್ಟರು.
and that men of Moab `hadden dred Israel, and miyten not bere the assailing of him.
4 ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರು ಮಿದ್ಯಾನ್ಯರ ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ, “ಎತ್ತು ಅಡವಿಯ ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಮೇಯುವಂತೆ, ಈಗ ಈ ಸಮೂಹವು ನಮ್ಮ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮೇಯುವುದು,” ಎಂದನು. ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಪ್ಪೋರನ ಮಗ ಬಾಲಾಕನು ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
And he seide to the grettere men in birthe of Madian, So this puple schal do a wei alle men that dwellen in oure coostis, as an oxe is wont to do awei an eerbe `til to the rootis. Forsothe he, `that is, Balaac, was kyng in that tyme in Moab.
5 ಇವನು ಸ್ವಜನರ ನಾಡಾದ ಯೂಫ್ರೇಟೀಸ್ ನದಿಯ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪೆತೋರೂರಿಗೆ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, ಬೆಯೋರನ ಮಗ ಬಿಳಾಮನನ್ನೂ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ, “ಒಂದು ಜನಾಂಗವು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಅದು ದೇಶವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆವರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ನನಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.
Therfor he sente messangeris to Balaam, the sone of Beor, a fals diuynour, that dwellide on the flood of the lond of the sones of Amon, that thei schulden clepe hym, and schulden seie, Lo! a puple yede out of Egipt, `which puple hilide the face of erthe, and sittith ayens me.
6 ಅವರು ನನಗಿಂತ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈಗ ನೀನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಬಂದು, ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ನನಗಾಗಿ ಶಪಿಸು. ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದು, ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಬಹುದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಯಾವನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುತ್ತೀಯೋ, ಅವನು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಹೊಂದಿರುವನು; ನೀನು ಯಾವನನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುತ್ತೀಯೋ, ಅವನು ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತನಾಗಿರುವನು; ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
Therfor come thou, and curse this puple, which is strongere than Y, if in ony maner Y may smyte and dryue hym out of my lond; for Y knowe, that he is blissid whom thou blissist, and he is cursid whom thou hast cursid.
7 ಆಗ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಮಿದ್ಯಾನಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವಾಣಿ ಕೇಳಲು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು. ಅವರು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬಾಲಾಕನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
The eldere men of Moab and the grettere men in birthe of Madian yeden forth, hauynge in hondis the prijs of fals dyuynyng; and whanne thei hadden come to Balaam, and hadden teld to hym alle the wordis of Balaach, he answeride,
8 ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿಮಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು.
Dwelle ye here to nyyt, and Y schal answere what euer thing the Lord schal seie to me. Sotheli while thei dwelliden at Balaam, God cam, and seide to hym,
9 ದೇವರು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಯಾರು?” ಎಂದರು.
What wolen these men at thee `to hem silf?
10 ಬಿಳಾಮನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ, “ಚಿಪ್ಪೋರನ ಮಗನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಅರಸನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ಬಾಲಾಕನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
Balaam answeride, Balaach, the sone of Sephor, kyng of Moabitis, sente to me, and seide, Lo!
11 ‘ಇಗೋ, ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಜನಾಂಗವು ದೇಶವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆವರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಈಗ ನೀನು ಬಂದು ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅವರನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸು. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಬಹುದು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
a puple which is gon out of Egipt hilide the face of erthe; come thou, and curse hem, if in ony maner Y may fiyte, and dryue hym awey.
12 ಆಗ ದೇವರು ಬಿಳಾಮನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗಬೇಡ, ನೀನು ಆ ಜನರನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸಬೇಡ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಹೊಂದಿದವರು,” ಎಂದರು.
And God seide to Balaam, Nyle thou go with hem, nether curse thou the puple, for it is blessid.
13 ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಉದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ಬಾಲಾಕನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದನು.
Which Balaam roos eerli, and seide to the princes, Go ye in to youre lond, for God forbeed me to come with you.
14 ಆದಕಾರಣ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಎದ್ದು ಬಾಲಾಕನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ಬಿಳಾಮನು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು.
The princes turneden ayen, and seiden to Balaach, Balaam nolde come with vs.
15 ಆದರೆ ಬಾಲಾಕನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಇವರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಘನವುಳ್ಳವರಾದ ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರಧಾನರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
Eft Balaach sente many mo and noblere men, than he hadde sent bifore;
16 ಅವರು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಚಿಪ್ಪೋರನ ಮಗ ಬಾಲಾಕನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ: ನೀನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಲು ಅಡ್ಡಿಮಾಡುವ ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕೊಡಬಾರದು.
whiche seiden, whanne thei hadden come to Balaam, Balaach, the sone of Sephor, seith thus, Tarye thou not to come to me, redi to onoure thee;
17 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಘನಪಡಿಸುವೆನು. ನೀನು ಹೇಳುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ನೀನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಬಂದು ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ನನಗಾಗಿ ಶಪಿಸು,” ಎಂದನು.
and what euer thing thou wolt, Y schal yyue to thee; come thou, and curse this puple.
18 ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಬಾಲಾಕನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ, “ಬಾಲಾಕನು ನನಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆ ತುಂಬುವಷ್ಟು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಏನನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಲಾರೆನು.
Balaam answeride, Thouy Balaach schal yyue to me his howsful of siluer and of gold, Y schal not mowe chaunge the word of my God, that Y speke ethir more ethir lesse.
19 ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಮತ್ತೇನು ಹೇಳುವರೆಂದು ನಾನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ, ನೀವು ಸಹ ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು.
Y biseche, that ye dwelle here also in this nyyt, that Y may wite what the Lord schal answere eft to me.
20 ಆಗ ದೇವರು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನೀನು ಎದ್ದು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗು. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆಯೇ ನೀನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದರು.
Therfor the Lord cam to Balaam in the nyyt, and seide to hym, If these men comen to clepe thee, rise thou, and go with hem, so oneli that thou do that that Y schal comaunde to thee.
21 ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು, ತನ್ನ ಕತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ, ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋದನು.
Balaam roos eerli, and whanne his femal asse was sadelid, he yede forth with hem.
22 ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಹೋದದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕೋಪ ಬಂದಿತು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೂತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಳಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡನು. ಬಿಳಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಕತ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಆಳುಗಳು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದರು.
And God was wrooth. And the `aungel of the Lord stood in the weie ayens Balam, that sat on the femal asse, and hadde twei children with hym.
23 ಕತ್ತೆಯು ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೂತನನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಿಚ್ಚುಗತ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿ, ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ವಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೊಲದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಆಗ ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಕತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾರ್ಗದೊಳಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದನು.
The femal asse siy the aungel stondynge in the weie, with swerd drawun, and `turnede a wei hir silf fro the weie, and yede bi the feeld. And whanne Balaam beet hir, and wolde lede ayen to the path,
24 ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೂತನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿತೋಟಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಕಿರಿದಾದ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡೂ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಡೆ ಇದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತನು.
the aungel stood in the streitnessis of twei wallis, with whiche the vyneris weren cumpassid.
25 ಕತ್ತೆಯು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೂತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಗೋಡೆಗೆ ಒತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು, ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಕಾಲನ್ನು ಗೋಡೆಗೆ ಒತ್ತಿ ಹಾಕಿತು. ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಹೊಡೆದನು.
And the femal asse siy the aungel, and ioynede hir silf to the wal, and hurtlide the foot of the sittere; and he beet eft `the asse.
26 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೂತನು ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಲಕ್ಕೂ ಎಡಕ್ಕೂ ತಿರುಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರ್ಗವಿಲ್ಲದ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತನು.
And neuer the lesse the aungel yede to the streit place, where me `myyte not go out of the weie, nether to the riyt side nether to the left side, and stood ayens hym.
27 ಕತ್ತೆಯು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೂತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿತ್ತು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆತ್ತದಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದನು.
And whanne the femal asse siy the aungel stondynge, sche felde doun vndir the feet of the sittere, which was wrooth ful greetli, and beet hir sidis with a staaf.
28 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಕತ್ತೆಗೆ ಮಾತಾಡುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅದು ಬಿಳಾಮನಿಗೆ, “ಈಗ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ಹೊಡೆಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಿದೆನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿತು.
And the Lord openyde the `mouth of the femal asse, and sche spak, What have Y doon to thee? whi smytist thou me, lo! now the thridde tyme?
29 ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಕತ್ತೆಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ? ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಖಡ್ಗ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾನು ಈಗಲೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
Balaam answeride, For thou hast disserued, and hast scornyd me; Y wolde that Y hadde a swerd to sle thee.
30 ಕತ್ತೆಯು ಬಿಳಾಮನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ದಿವಸದವರೆಗೂ ನೀನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಸವಾರಿಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕತ್ತೆಯು ನಾನಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಾನು ಎಂದಾದರೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆನೋ?” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿತು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು, “ಇಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದನು.
And the femal asse seide, Whether Y am not thi beeste on which thou were wont to sitte euere til in to this present dai? seie thou, what lijk thing Y dide euere to thee? And he seide, Neuere.
31 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದರು. ಅವನು ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೂತನನ್ನೂ, ಆತನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಿಚ್ಚುಗತ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿ ಬೋರಲು ಬಿದ್ದನು.
Anoon the Lord openyde `the iyen of Balaam, and he siy the aungel stondynge in the weie, holdynge a drawun swerd in the hoond; and Balaam worschipide hym lowli in to erthe.
32 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೂತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಕತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಈಗ ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ಹೊಡೆದದ್ದು ಏಕೆ? ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ವಕ್ರವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಡೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
To whom the aungel seide, Whi `betist thou thi femal asse `the thridde tyme? Y cam to be aduersarie to thee, for thi weie is weiward, and contrarye to me;
33 ಆ ಕತ್ತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಈಗ ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ಓರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಅದು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಓರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋಗದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಆಗಲೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ ಕತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.
and if the femal asse hadde not bowid a wey fro the weie, and youe place to ayenstondere, Y hadde slayn thee, and sche schulde lyue.
34 ಆಗ ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೂತನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನೀನು ನನಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಿ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅದು ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಾದರೆ, ನಾನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
Balaam seide, Y synnede, not witynge that thou stodist ayens me; and now, if it displesith thee that Y go, Y schal turne ayen.
35 ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೂತನು ಬಿಳಾಮನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗು ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವುದನ್ನೇ ಹೇಳಬೇಕೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವದನ್ನೂ ಹೇಳಬಾರದು,” ಎಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಬಾಲಾಕನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋದನು.
The aungel seide, Go thou with these men, but be war that thou speke not other thing than Y schal comaunde to thee. Therfor Balaam yede with the princes.
36 ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಬಂದನೆಂದು ಬಾಲಾಕನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಅವನು ಕಡೆಯ ಮೇರೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅರ್ನೋನ್ ಹೊಳೆಯ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹೊರಟನು.
And whanne Balaach hadde herde this, he yede out in to the comyng of hym, in the citee of Moabitis, whiche is set in the laste coostis of Arnon.
37 ಬಾಲಾಕನು ಬಿಳಾಮನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ತುರ್ತಾಗಿ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಏಕೆ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ? ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಘನಪಡಿಸಲು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವುಳ್ಳವನಲ್ಲವೋ?” ಎಂದನು.
And he seide to Balaam, Y sente messangeris to clepe thee; whi camest thou not anoon to me? whethir for Y may not yelde meede to thi comyng?
38 ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಬಾಲಾಕನಿಗೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ನಿನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗುವಂಥದ್ದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವುದು ನನಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ? ದೇವರು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಆಡಿಸಿದ ಮಾತನ್ನೇ ಹೇಳುವೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.
To whom Balaam answeride, Lo! Y am present, whethir Y schal mow speke other thing than that, that God schal putte in my mouth?
39 ಆಗ ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಬಾಲಾಕನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋದನು. ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕಿರ್ಯತ್ ಹುಚೋತಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.
Therfor thei yeden forth to gidere, and camen in to a citee, which was in the laste coost of `his rewme.
40 ಬಾಲಾಕನು ಎತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವನ್ನು ಬಿಳಾಮನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳಿಗೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
And whanne Balaach hadde slayn scheep and oxun, he sente yiftis to Balaam and the princes that weren with hym.
41 ಮರುದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಲಾಕನು ಬಿಳಾಮನನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಾಮೋತ್ ಬಾಳ್ ದೇವತೆಯ ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹತ್ತಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರ ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದನು.
Forsothe whanne the morewtid was maad, Balaach ledde Balaam to the hiye placis of Baal, and he bihelde the laste part of the puple, `that is, al the oost til to the laste part.
