ನೆಹೆಮೀಯನು 7
1 ನಾನು ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ, ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ತರುವಾಯ ಬಾಗಿಲು ಕಾಯುವವರನ್ನು, ಹಾಡುಗಾರರನ್ನು, ಲೇವಿಯರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದೆನು.
Now after the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and numbered the porters and singing men, and Levites:
2 ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಹನಾನೀ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಮನೆಯ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಹನನ್ಯ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದೆನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇವನು ಸತ್ಯವಂತನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅನೇಕರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವವನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದನು.
I commanded Hanani my brother, and Hananias ruler of the house of Jerusalem, (for he seemed as a sincere man, and one that feared God above the rest, )
3 ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಬಿಸಿಲು ಏರುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲೇ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯಬಾರದು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವಾಗ, ಕದಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಅಗುಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿರಿ. ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಕಾವಲಾಗಿರಲು ನೇಮಿಸಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆನು.
And I said to them: Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened till the sun be hot. And while they were yet standing by, the gates were shut, and barred: and I set watchmen of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one by their courses, and every mall over against his house.
4 ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ, ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿಯೂ ಇತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜನರು ಕೊಂಚವಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And the city was very wide and great, and the people few in the midst thereof, and the houses were not built.
5 ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರು ವಂಶಾವಳಿಯಿಂದ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರನ್ನೂ, ಅಧಿಕಾರಸ್ಥರನ್ನೂ, ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಸಭೆಯಾಗಿಸೇರಲು, ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದರು. ಆಗ ನಾನು ಮೊದಲು ಬಂದವರ ವಂಶಾವಳಿಯ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
But God had put in my heart, and I assembled the princes and magistrates, and common people, to number them: and I found a book of the number of them who came up at first, and therein it was found written:
6 ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅನಂತರ ಬಂಧನದಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೂ, ಯೆಹೂದಕ್ಕೂ, ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೂ
These are the children of the province, who came up from the captivity of them that had been carried away, whom Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon had carried away, and who returned into Judea, every one into his own city.
7 ಜೆರುಬ್ಬಾಬೆಲನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದವರು ಯಾರೆಂದರೆ: ಯೇಷೂವ, ನೆಹೆಮೀಯ, ಅಜರ್ಯ, ರಗಮ್ಯ, ನಹಮಾನೀ, ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈ, ಬಿಲ್ಷಾನ್, ಮಿಸ್ಪೆರೆತ್, ಬಿಗ್ವೈ, ನೆಹೂಮ್, ಬಾಣ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಪುರುಷರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ:
Who came with Zorobabel, Josue, Nehemias, Azarias, Raamias, Nahamani, Mardochai, Belsam, Mespharath, Begoia, Nahum, Baana. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
8 ಪರೋಷನ ವಂಶಜರು 2,172 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
The children of Pharos, two thousand one hundred seventy-two.
9 ಶೆಫಟ್ಯನ ವಂಶಜರು 372 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
The children of Sephatia, three hundred seventy-two.
10 ಆರಹನ ವಂಶಜರು 652 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
The children of Area, six hundred fifty-two.
11 ಯೇಷೂವ, ಯೋವಾಬ್ ಎಂಬವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಹತ್ ಮೋವಾಬನ ವಂಶಜರು 2,818 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
The children of Phahath Moab of the children of Josue and Joab, two thousand eight hundred eighteen.
12 ಏಲಾಮನ ವಂಶಜರು 1,254 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
The children of Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four.
13 ಜತ್ತೂವಿನ ವಂಶಜರು 845 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.

28 ಬೇತ್ ಅಜ್ಮಾವೆತಿನವರು 42 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.

29 ಕಿರ್ಯತ್ ಯಾರೀಮ್, ಕೆಫೀರಾ, ಬೇರೋತ್ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರು 743 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
The men of Cariathiarim, Cephira, and Beroth, seven hundred forty-three.
30 ರಾಮಾ ಗೆಬ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರು 621 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.

31 ಮಿಕ್ಮಾಷದ ಜನರು 122 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.

All the Nathinites, and the children of the servants of Solomon, three hundred ninety-two.
61 ತೇಲ್ಮೆಲಹ, ತೇಲ್ಹರ್ಷ, ಕೆರೂಬ್, ಅದ್ದಾನ್, ಇಮ್ಮೇರ್ ಎಂಬ ಊರುಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಬಂದವರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ತಮ್ಮ ಗೋತ್ರವಂಶಾವಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿ, ತಾವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ರುಜುಪಡಿಸಲಾಗದೇ ಇದ್ದವರು ಯಾರೆಂದರೆ:
And these are they that came up from Telmela, Thelharsa, Cherub, Addon, and Emmer: and could not shew the house of their fathers, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.
62 ದೆಲಾಯ, ಟೋಬೀಯ, ನೆಕೋದ ಇವರ ಸಂತಾನದವರು ಒಟ್ಟು 642 ಮಂದಿ.

63 ಯಾಜಕರಲ್ಲಿ, ಹಬಯ್ಯ, ಹಕ್ಕೋಚ್, ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈ ಇವರ ಸಂತಾನದವರು. ಈ ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈ ಎಂಬವನು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ಯನಾದ ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈಯನ ಪುತ್ರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬಳನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಕಾರಣ ಅವನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡನು.
And of the priests, the children of Habia, the children of Accos, the children of Berzellai, who took a wife of the daughters of Berzellai the Galaadite, and he was called by their name.
64 ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಂಶಾವಳಿಯ ದಾಖಲಾತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರು, ಆದರೆ ಅವು ಸಿಕ್ಕದೆ ಹೋದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಅಶುದ್ಧರೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ಯಾಜಕ ಉದ್ಯೋಗದಿಂದ ಬಹಿಷ್ಕಾರವಾದರು.
These sought their writing in the record, and found it not: and they were cast out of the priesthood.
65 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಊರೀಮ್, ತುಮ್ಮೀಮ್ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ದೈವನಿರ್ಣಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ಯಾಜಕನು ದೊರೆಯುವ ತನಕ, ಇವರು ಮಹಾಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದೆಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲನು ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದನು.
And Athersatha said to them, that they should not eat of the holies of holies, until there stood up a priest learned and skillful.
66 ಸಭೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಸರ್ವಸಮೂಹದ ಒಟ್ಟು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 42,360.
All the multitude as it were one man, forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,
67 ಅವರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಅವರ ದಾಸರೂ ದಾಸಿಯರೂ 7,337 ಮಂದಿಯೂ, ಅವರ ಹಾಡುಗಾರರೂ, ಹಾಡುಗಾರ್ತಿಯರೂ 245 ಮಂದಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದರು.
Beside their menservants and womenservants, who were seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven: and among them singing men, and singing women, two hundred forty-five.
68 ಅವರ 736 ಕುದುರೆಗಳು, ಅವರ 245 ಹೇಸರಕತ್ತೆಗಳು.
Their horses, seven hundred thirty-six: their mules two hundred forty-five:
69 435 ಒಂಟೆಗಳು, 6,720 ಕತ್ತೆಗಳು ಇದ್ದವು.
Their camels, four hundred thirty-five, their asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
70 ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಕೆಲವು ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರು ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲನು ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಕ್ಕೆ 8.4 ಕಿಲೋಗ್ರಾಂ ಬಂಗಾರದ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, 50 ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, 530 ಯಾಜಕರ ಅಂಗಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And some of the heads of the families gave unto the work. Athersatha gave into the treasure a thousand drama of gold, fifty bowls, and five hundred and thirty garments for priests.
71 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ಪಿತೃಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಕೆಲಸದ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಕ್ಕೆ 170 ಕಿಲೋಗ್ರಾಂ ಬಂಗಾರದ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, 1.2 ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
And some of the heads of families gave to the treasure of the work, twenty thousand drama of gold, and two thousand two hundred pounds of silver.
72 ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದ ಜನರು ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: 170 ಕಿಲೋಗ್ರಾಂ ಬಂಗಾರದ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ 1.1 ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನೂ, 67 ಯಾಜಕರ ಅಂಗಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
And that which the rest of the people gave, was twenty thousand drama of gold, and two thousand pounds of silver, and sixty-seven garments for priests.
73 ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಯಾಜಕರೂ, ಲೇವಿಯರೂ, ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರೂ, ಹಾಡುಗಾರರೂ, ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರೂ, ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಸೇವಕರೂ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಏಳನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳು ಬಂದಾಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singing men, and the rest of the common people, and the Nathinites, and all Israel dwelt in their cities.
