ನಹೂಮನು 1
1 ನಿನೆವೆಯ ವಿಷಯವಾದ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ: ಎಲ್ಕೋಷಿನವನಾದ ನಹೂಮನ ದರ್ಶನದ ಪುಸ್ತಕವು.

2 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅಸೂಯೆಪಡುವ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇಡು ತೀರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ದೇವರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ರೋಷದಿಂದ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
The LORD is a jealous God and avengeth; the LORD avengeth and is full of wrath; the LORD taketh vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth [wrath] for his enemies.
3 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಕೋಪಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತಿಸ್ವರೂಪರು. ಆದರೂ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ತಾದವರು. ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗದವರನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ಇರರು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಸುಳಿಗಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇದೆ. ಮೇಘಗಳು ಅವರ ಕಾಲುಗಳ ಧೂಳೇ.
The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means clear [the guilty]: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
4 ಅವರು ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಒಣಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸಕಲನದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬತ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಬಾಷಾನು, ಕರ್ಮೆಲು ಬಾಡಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ಹೂವು ಬಾಡಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ.
He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
5 ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಕಂಪಿಸುತ್ತವೆ; ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳು ಕರಗುತ್ತವೆ; ಭೂಮಿಯೂ, ಲೋಕವೂ, ಅದರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡುಗುತ್ತವೆ.
The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt; and the earth is upheaved at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
6 ಅವರ ರೌದ್ರದ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಯಾರು ನಿಲ್ಲುವರು? ಅವರ ರೋಷಾಗ್ನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು? ಅವರ ಕೋಪಾಗ್ನಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಸುರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ; ಬಂಡೆಗಳು ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕೆಡವಲಾಗಿವೆ.
Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder by him.
7 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರು. ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಶ್ರಯದಾತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡುವವರನ್ನು ಅವರು ಪರಿಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that put their trust in him.
8 ಆದರೆ ಮೇರೆ ಮೀರುವ ಪ್ರಳಯದಿಂದ ನಿನೆವೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿಬಿಡುವರು. ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಅವರ ಶತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುವುದು.
But with an overrunning flood he will make a full end of the place thereof, and will pursue his enemies into darkness.
9 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಏನೇನು ಯೋಚಿಸಿರುವರೋ, ಅದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಅಂತ್ಯಗೊಳಿಸುವರು. ತೊಂದರೆಯು ಎರಡು ಸಾರಿ ಏಳದು.
What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make a full end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.
10 ಅವರು ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು, ತಮ್ಮ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸದಿಂದ ಮತ್ತರಾಗುವರು. ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಒಣಗಿದ ಕೂಳೆಯಂತೆ ಅವರು ಸುಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವರು.
For though they be like tangled thorns, told be drenched as it were in their drink, they shall be devoured utterly as dry stubble.
11 ನಿನೆವೆಯೇ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ದುರಾಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಯೋಚಿಸುವವನು ನಿನ್ನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
There is one gone forth out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, that counselleth wickedness.
12 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡವರಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅವರು ಬಹುಮಂದಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುವರು. ಯೆಹೂದವೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದಾಗ್ಯೂ, ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಕಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸೆನು.
Thus saith the LORD: Though they be in full strength, and likewise many, even so shall they be cut down, and he shall pass away. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
13 ನಾನು ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲಿನ ಅವರ ನೊಗವನ್ನು ಮುರಿದು, ನಿನ್ನ ಬಂಧನಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಬಿಡುವೆನು.
And now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
14 ನಿನೆವೆಯೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ಹೆಸರೆತ್ತಲು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಂತಾನವಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನೂ, ಎರಕ ಬೊಂಬೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಾಶಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನೀನು ತುಚ್ಛನಾದದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಿಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವೆನು.
And the LORD hath given commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image; I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.
15 ಇಗೋ, ಪರ್ವತಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಶುಭಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ತಂದು, ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವವನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡು. ಯೆಹೂದವೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸು, ನಿನ್ನ ಹರಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕರು. ಅವರು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶವಾಗುವರು.
Behold, upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! Keep thy feasts, O Judah, perform thy vows: for the wicked one shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
