ಮತ್ತಾಯನು 7
1 “ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಆಗ ನಿಮಗೂ ಸಹ ತೀರ್ಪಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
“Do not judge, or you will be judged.
2 ನೀವು ಇತರರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ತೀರ್ಪಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ನಿಮಗೂ ತೀರ್ಪಾಗುವುದು, ನೀವು ಅಳೆಯುವ ಅಳತೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಿಮಗೂ ಅಳೆದುಕೊಡಲಾಗುವುದು.
For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮರದ ದಿಮ್ಮಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡದೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮರದ ಚೂರನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದೇಕೆ?
Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?
4 ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಮರದ ದಿಮ್ಮಿ ಇರುವಾಗ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೆ, ‘ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮರದ ಚೂರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ,’ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?
How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while there is still a beam in your own eye?
5 ಕಪಟಿಯೇ, ಮೊದಲು ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮರದ ದಿಮ್ಮಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕು. ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮರದ ಚೂರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಲು, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುವುದು.
You hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 “ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಹಂದಿಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಚೆಲ್ಲಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಹಂದಿಗಳು ಮುತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲುಗಳಿಂದ ತುಳಿದು ಹಾಕಿಯಾವು. ನಾಯಿಗಳು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟಾವು.
Do not give dogs what is holy; do not throw your pearls before swine. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.
7 “ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಾಗುವುದು; ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಿಗುವುದು; ತಟ್ಟಿರಿ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಬಾಗಿಲು ತೆರೆಯಲಾಗುವುದು.
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
8 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ಹುಡುಕುವವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಗುವುದು; ತಟ್ಟುವವರಿಗೆ ಬಾಗಿಲು ತೆರೆಯಲಾಗುವುದು.
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಮಗನು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನೇ?
Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
10 ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮೀನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹಾವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನೇ?
Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?
11 ಕೆಟ್ಟವರಾದ ನೀವೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬಲ್ಲವರಾದರೆ, ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯು ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವರಲ್ಲವೇ!
So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
12 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಜನರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನೇನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ನೀವು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೀರೋ, ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ನೀವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ; ಇದೇ ನಿಯಮ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಬೋಧನೆಯ ಸಾರಾಂಶವು.
In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the Prophets.
13 “ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಾದ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಒಯ್ಯುವ ಬಾಗಿಲು, ಅಗಲವೂ ಅದರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ವಿಶಾಲವೂ ಆಗಿವೆ; ಅದರೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವವರು ಅನೇಕರು.
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
14 ಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಒಯ್ಯುವ ಬಾಗಿಲು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಾದದ್ದೂ ದಾರಿಯು ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾದದ್ದೂ ಆಗಿದೆ; ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಹಿಡಿಯುವವರು ಕೆಲವರು ಮಾತ್ರ.
But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.
15 “ಕುರಿಯ ವೇಷಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಒಳಗೆ ಕ್ರೂರವಾದ ತೋಳಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
16 ಅವರವರ ಫಲಗಳಿಂದ ನೀವು ಅವರನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ. ಜನರು ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಳಿಂದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನೂ ದತ್ತೂರಿ ಗಿಡಗಳಿಂದ ಅಂಜೂರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೀಳುವರೋ?
By their fruit you will recognize them. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
17 ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮರವು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮರವು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ.
Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮರವು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಾರದು, ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮರವು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಾರದು.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
19 ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಮರವನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕುವರು.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರವರ ಫಲಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ನೀವು ಅವರನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.
So then, by their fruit you will recognize them.
21 “ನನ್ನನ್ನು, ‘ಸ್ವಾಮೀ, ಸ್ವಾಮೀ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಪರಲೋಕ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವನೇ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವನು.
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ, ‘ಕರ್ತದೇವರೇ, ಕರ್ತದೇವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ?’ ಎಂದು ಅನೇಕರು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವರು.
Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’
23 ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, ‘ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾನೆಂದೂ ಅರಿಯೆನು, ನಿಯಮ ಮೀರಿ ಬಾಳಿದವರೇ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಹೋಗಿರಿ!’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಬಿಡುವೆನು.
Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’
24 “ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವುಗಳಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ.
Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
25 ಮಳೆಯು ಸುರಿದು ಹಳ್ಳಗಳು ಬಂದವು, ಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಿ ಆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸಿತು. ಆದರೂ ಆ ಮನೆ ಬೀಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದರ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವು ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಟ್ಟಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock.
26 ಈ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಅವುಗಳಂತೆ ನಡೆಯದೆ ಹೋದರೆ, ಅವನು ಮರಳಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ.
But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.
27 ಮಳೆಯು ಸುರಿದು, ಹಳ್ಳಗಳು ಬಂದವು, ಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಿ ಆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸಿತು. ಆಗ ಆ ಮನೆ ಕುಸಿದು ಬಿತ್ತು. ಅದರ ಬೀಳುವಿಕೆಯು ಭಯಂಕರವಾಗಿತ್ತು,” ಎಂದರು.
The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and great was its collapse!”
28 ಯೇಸು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಅವರ ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಜನರು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were astonished at His teaching,
29 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರಂತೆ ಬೋಧಿಸದೆ, ಅಧಿಕಾರವಿದ್ದವರಂತೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
because He taught as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.
