ಮಾರ್ಕನು 7
1 ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಿಂದ ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಲವು ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.
Then gathered vnto him the Pharises, and certaine of the Scribes which came from Hierusalem.
2 ಆಗ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಅಶುದ್ಧ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ, ಅಂದರೆ ಆಚಾರ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಂತೆ ಕೈತೊಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಊಟಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡರು.
And when they sawe some of his disciples eate meate with common hands, (that is to say, vnwashen) they complained.
3 ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಆಚಾರ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಂತೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛವಾಗಿ ತೊಳೆಯದೆ ಊಟಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯವನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
(For the Pharises, and all the Iewes, except they wash their hands oft, eate not, holding the tradition of the Elders.
4 ಪೇಟೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡದೆ ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಲೋಟ, ಚೆಂಬು ಮತ್ತು ತಪ್ಪಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಿ ತೊಳೆಯುವುದು ಮುಂತಾದ ಅನೇಕ ಶುದ್ಧಾಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eate not: and many other things there be, which they haue taken vpon them to obserue, as the washing of cups, and pots, and of brasen vessels, and of beds.)
5 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಮತ್ತು ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರು, “ನಿನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಏಕೆ ನಡೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ? ಅವರು ಮೈಲಿಗೆಯಾದ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲಾ?” ಎಂದು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
Then asked him the Pharises and Scribes, Why walke not thy disciples according to the tradition of the Elders, but eate meate with vnwashen hands?
6 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು, “ಕಪಟಿಗಳೇ, ಯೆಶಾಯನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ,” ಅವನು ಬರೆದಿರುವಂತೆ: “‘ಈ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯವು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿದೆ.
Then hee answered and sayd vnto them, Surely Esay hath prophecied well of you, hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth mee with lippes, but their heart is farre away from me.
7 ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನೇ ಉಪದೇಶಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬೋಧಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಆರಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.’
But they worship me in vaine, teaching for doctrines the commandements of men.
8 ನೀವು ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ತೊರೆದು, ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
For ye lay the commandement of God apart, and obserue the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and of cups, and many other such like things ye doe.
9 ಯೇಸು ಇನ್ನೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಹು ಜಾಣತನದಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ.
And he sayd vnto them, Well, ye reiect the commandement of God, that ye may obserue your owne tradition.
10 ‘ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಬೇಕು,’ ಮತ್ತು ‘ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ದೂಷಿಸುವವನಿಗೆ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆ ಆಗಬೇಕು,’ ಎಂದು ಮೋಶೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
For Moses sayd, Honour thy father and thy mother: and Whosoeuer shall speake euill of father or mother, let him die the death.
11 ಆದರೆ ನೀವು, ಯಾರಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ತಾಯಿಗೆ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನ್ನು, ‘ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವುದಾದರೆ,
But yee say, If a man say to father or mother, Corban, that is, By the gift that is offered by mee, thou mayest haue profite, hee shall be free.
12 ನೀವು ಅವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಅನುಮತಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
So ye suffer him no more to doe any thing for his father, or his mother,
13 ಹೀಗೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿರರ್ಥಕಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ. ಇಂಥ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
Making the worde of God of none authoritie, by your tradition which ye haue ordeined: and ye doe many such like things.
14 ಯೇಸು ಜನಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದು, “ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
Then he called the whole multitude vnto him, and sayd vnto them, Hearken you all vnto me, and vnderstand.
15 ಹೊರಗಿನಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಯಾವುದೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರುವಂಥದ್ದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
There is nothing without a man, that can defile him, when it entreth into him: but the things which proceede out of him, are they which defile the man.
16 ಯಾವನಿಗಾದರೂ ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಯಿದ್ದರೆ ಕೇಳಲಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
If any haue eares to heare, let him heare.
17 ಆಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸು ಜನರ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಆ ಸಾಮ್ಯದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದರು.
And when hee came into an house, away from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
18 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವೂ ಇಷ್ಟು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರೋ? ಹೊರಗಿನಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗುವಂಥದ್ದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದೋ?
And he sayde vnto them, What? are ye without vnderstanding also? Doe ye not knowe that whatsoeuer thing from without entreth into a man, cannot defile him,
19 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದು ಅವನ ಹೃದಯದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗದೆ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿ ಬಳಿಕ ವಿಸರ್ಜಿತವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳು ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಯೇಸು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು.
Because it entreth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught which is the purging of all meates?
20 ಯೇಸು ಮುಂದುವರಿದು, “ಆದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವಂಥದ್ದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ.
Then he sayd, That which commeth out of man, that defileth man.
21 ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹೃದಯದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಜಾರತ್ವ, ಕಳ್ಳತನ, ಕೊಲೆ,
For from within, euen out of the heart of men, proceede euill thoughtes, adulteries, fornications, murthers,
22 ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ, ಲೋಭ, ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವ, ವಂಚನೆ, ಅಶ್ಲೀಲತೆ, ಅಸೂಯೆ, ನಿಂದೆ, ಗರ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಮೂರ್ಖತನ ಮುಂತಾದ ದುರಾಲೋಚನೆಗಳು ಹೊರಡುತ್ತವೆ.
Theftes, couetousnes, wickednes, deceite, vncleannes, a wicked eye, backbiting, pride, foolishnesse.
23 ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಡುಗಳು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಒಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
All these euill things come from within, and defile a man.
24 ಯೇಸು ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಟೈರ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸಮೀಪವಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು. ಯೇಸು ಒಂದು ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ, ಅದು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿಯಬಾರದೆಂದು ಬಯಸಿದರು. ಆದರೂ ಅವರು ಗುಟ್ಟಾಗಿರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And from thence he rose, and went into the borders of Tyrus and Sidon, and entred into an house, and woulde that no man should haue knowen: but he could not be hid.
25 ಹೀಗೆ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ, ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮಪೀಡಿತಳಾಗಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಹುಡುಗಿಯ ತಾಯಿ ಬಂದು ಅವರ ಪಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದಳು.
For a certaine woman, whose litle daughter had an vncleane spirit, heard of him, and came, and fell at his feete,
26 ಆಕೆ, ಸಿರಿಯದ ಫೊಯಿನಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಗ್ರೀಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು. ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದ ದೆವ್ವವನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಕೆ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡಳು.
(And the woman was a Greeke, a Syrophenissian by nation) and she besought him that he would cast out the deuill out of her daughter.
27 ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ, “ಮೊದಲು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ತಿಂದು ತೃಪ್ತಿಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಿನ್ನುವ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ನಾಯಿಮರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಕುವುದು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು.
But Iesus saide vnto her, Let the children first be fedde: for it is not good to take the childrens bread, and to cast it vnto whelpes.
28 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಹೌದು ಸ್ವಾಮೀ, ಆದರೆ ಮೇಜಿನ ಕೆಳಗಿರುವ ನಾಯಿಮರಿಗಳು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬೀಳುವ ರೊಟ್ಟಿತುಂಡುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತವಲ್ಲಾ?” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟಳು.
Then shee answered, and saide vnto him, Trueth, Lord: yet in deede the whelpes eate vnder the table of the childrens crommes.
29 ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಈ ಉತ್ತರದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗು, ದೆವ್ವವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
Then he said vnto her, For this saying goe thy way: the deuil is gone out of thy daughter.
30 ಆಕೆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ, ದೆವ್ವ ಅವಳ ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಮಗಳು ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಲಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡಳು.
And when shee was come home to her house, shee founde the deuill departed, and her daughter lying on the bed.
31 ಆಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸು ಟೈರ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸಮೀಪವಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಸೀದೋನಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ಸರೋವರ ತೀರವನ್ನು ಹಾದು ದೆಕಪೊಲಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು.
And hee departed againe from the coastes of Tyrus and Sidon, and came vnto the sea of Galile, through the middes of the coastes of Decapolis.
32 ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಲಾಗದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕಿವುಡನನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಯಿಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
And they brought vnto him one that was deafe and stambered in his speache, and prayed him to put his hand vpon him.
33 ಯೇಸು ಅವನನ್ನು ಜನರ ಗುಂಪಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಬೆರಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನ ಕಿವಿಯೊಳಗಿಟ್ಟು ಅನಂತರ ಉಗುಳಿ, ಅವನ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದರು.
Then hee tooke him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers in his eares, and did spit, and touched his tongue.
34 ಯೇಸು ಸ್ವರ್ಗದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನೋಡಿ, ದೀರ್ಘವಾಗಿ ನಿಟ್ಟುಸಿರುಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅವನಿಗೆ “ಎಪ್ಫಥಾ!” ಎಂದರು. “ತೆರೆಯಲಿ!” ಎಂಬುದು ಅದರ ಅರಮೀಯ ಅರ್ಥ.
And looking vp to heauen, hee sighed, and said vnto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
35 ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅವನ ಕಿವಿಗಳು ತೆರೆದವು; ಅವನ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಸಡಿಲವಾಯಿತು. ಅವನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.
And straightway his eares were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and hee spake plaine.
36 ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೂ ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಬಾರದೆಂದು ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರೂ ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಚಾರಮಾಡಿದರು.
And he commanded them, that they should tell no man: but howe much soeuer hee forbad them, the more a great deale they published it,
37 ಜನರು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು, “ಯೇಸು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕಿವುಡರು ಕೇಳುವಂತೆಯೂ ಮೂಕರು ಮಾತನಾಡುವಂತೆಯೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ,” ಎಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And were beyonde measure astonied, saying, Hee hath done all thinges well: he maketh both the deafe to heare, and the domme to speake.
