ಮಾರ್ಕನು 4
1 ಯೇಸು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ಸರೋವರದ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಜನರು ಗುಂಪುಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನೆರೆದು ಬಂದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೇಸು ಸರೋವರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡರು. ಜನರು ದಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು.
And again he began to teach by the shore of the lake; and there was gathered to him a very great multitude, so that he went into a boat, and sat down in it upon the lake; and all the multitude was by the lake on the land.
2 ಯೇಸು ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
And he taught them many things in parables, and said to them in his teaching,
3 “ಕೇಳಿರಿ! ಒಬ್ಬ ರೈತನು ಬಿತ್ತುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟನು.
Hearken: Behold, a sower went forth to sow.
4 ಅವನು ಬಿತ್ತುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜಗಳು ದಾರಿಯ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದವು. ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಬಂದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟವು.
And it came to pass, as he sowed some seeds fell by the way-side; and the birds came and devoured them.
5 ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಣ್ಣಿಲ್ಲದ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದವು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳವಾದ ಮಣ್ಣಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವು ಬೇಗನೆ ಮೊಳೆತವು.
And others fell on rocky ground, where they had not much earth; and they sprung up immediately, because they had no depth of earth.
6 ಆದರೆ ಬಿಸಿಲೇರಿದಾಗ ಅವು ಬಾಡಿಹೋಗಿ, ಬೇರಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಒಣಗಿಹೋದವು.
But when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
7 ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜಗಳು ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಿಡಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದವು. ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಿಡಗಳು ಬೆಳೆದು ಆ ಎಳೆಯ ಸಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವು ಫಲ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And others fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up, and choked them, and they yielded no fruit.
8 ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜಗಳು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಬೆಳೆದು ಮೂವತ್ತರಷ್ಟು, ಅರವತ್ತರಷ್ಟು, ನೂರರಷ್ಟು ಫಲಕೊಟ್ಟವು.”
And others fell on good ground, and shooting up and growing yielded fruit; and bore as much as thirty, and sixty, and a hundred fold.
9 ಅನಂತರ ಯೇಸು, “ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಕೇಳಲಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
And he said, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
10 ಯೇಸು ಒಬ್ಬರೇ ಇದ್ದಾಗ, ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಸುತ್ತಲಿದ್ದವರು ಬಂದು ಆ ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದರು.
And when he was in private, they who were about him, with the twelve, asked him about the parables.
11 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು, “ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಹಸ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಜ್ಞಾನ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಹೊರಗಿನವರಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಸಾಮ್ಯದ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
And he said to them, To you hath been given the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to them, who are without, all things are done in parables; t
12 ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ, “‘ಅವರು ಕಣ್ಣಿದ್ದರೂ ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಾದರೆ, ಅವರು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಕ್ಷಮೆಹೊಂದುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು!’” ಎಂದರು.
hat seeing they may see, and not perceive, and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest they should turn, and be forgiven.
13 ಅನಂತರ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮಗೆ ಈ ಸಾಮ್ಯ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನೀವು ಬೇರೆ ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ?
And he saith to them, Know ye not this parable? and how will ye know all the parables?
14 ರೈತನು ‘ವಾಕ್ಯ’ ಎಂಬ ಬೀಜ ಬಿತ್ತುತ್ತಾನೆ.
The sower soweth the word.
15 ಕೆಲವರು ದಾರಿಯ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ಬೀಜದಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ವಾಕ್ಯ ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸೈತಾನನು ಬಂದು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತಿದ್ದ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
And these are they by the wayside, those where the word is sown, and when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in them.
16 ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಕಲ್ಲು ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಬೀಜದಂತಿರುವರು. ಅವರು ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
And these in like manner are they that are sown on the rocky places, those, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy,
17 ಆದರೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಾಲ ಮಾತ್ರ ಇದ್ದು, ವಾಕ್ಯದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಸಂಕಟ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಹಿಂಸೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಅವರು ಬೇಗನೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
and have no root in themselves, but endure only for a time; then, when affliction or persecution ariseth on account of the word, they immediately fall away.
18 ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಿಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ಬೀಜದಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
And others are they that are sown among the thorns; these are they who hear the word,
19 ಆದರೆ ಈ ಜೀವನದ ಚಿಂತೆಗಳೂ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯದ ವ್ಯಾಮೋಹವೂ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಅಭಿಲಾಷೆಗಳು ಸೇರಿ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ, ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. (aiōn g165)
but the cares of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
20 ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ಬೀಜದಂತಿದ್ದು, ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಿ, ಮೂವತ್ತರಷ್ಟು, ಅರವತ್ತರಷ್ಟು, ನೂರರಷ್ಟು ಫಲಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
And these are they who are sown on the good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it; and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundred fold.
21 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಯಾರಾದರೂ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ತಂದು ಬೋಗುಣಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಅಥವಾ ಮಂಚದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇಡುತ್ತಾರೋ? ಅದರ ಬದಲು ಅದನ್ನು ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
And he said to them, Is a lamp brought to be put under the bushel, or under the bed, and not to be set on the lamp-stand?
22 ಮರೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಯಾವುದೂ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗದೇ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳು ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗದೆ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
For there is nothing secret, unless to be made known; nor was any thing hidden, but that it should come to light.
23 ಕಿವಿಯುಳ್ಳವರು ಕೇಳಲಿ.”
If any one hath ears to hear, let him hear.
24 ಮತ್ತು ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಕೇಳುವುದನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಗಮನಿಸಿರಿ; ನೀವು ಅಳೆಯುವ ಅಳತೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಿಮಗೂ ಅಳೆದುಕೊಡಲಾಗುವುದು; ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಡಲಾಗುವುದು.
And he said to them, Take heed what ye hear. With what measure ye mete, it will be measured to you, and more will be added to you.
25 ಇದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಗುವುದು. ಇಲ್ಲದವರ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಇದ್ದ ಅಲ್ಪವನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
For he that hath, to him will be given; and he that hath not, from him will be taken away even what he hath.
26 ಯೇಸು, “ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಹೀಗಿದೆ: ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತಿದನು.
And he said, Thus is the kingdom of God, as when a man has cast seed upon the ground,
27 ರಾತ್ರಿ ಅವನು ಮಲಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಹಗಲು ಎದ್ದಿದ್ದರೂ ಆ ಬೀಜವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಕುರಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ.
and sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed springs and grows up, he knows not how.
28 ಭೂಮಿಯು ಮೊದಲು ಸಸಿಯನ್ನು ಆಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಡೆಯನ್ನು ಅನಂತರ ತೆನೆಯ ತುಂಬಾ ಕಾಳನ್ನು ತನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಾನೇ ಬೆಳೆಸುತ್ತದೆ.
For the earth brings forth fruit of itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
29 ಬೆಳೆಯು ಮಾಗಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ, ಅವನು ಕುಡುಗೋಲನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯು ಬಂದಿದೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
But when the fruit puts itself forth, immediately he sends out the sickle, because the harvest is come.
30 ಯೇಸು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿ, “ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸೋಣ ಅಥವಾ ಅದನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಲು ಯಾವ ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸೋಣ?
And he said, To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? or under what comparison shall we set it forth?
31 ಅದು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೀಜಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಅತಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕದಾದ ಸಾಸಿವೆ ಕಾಳಿನಂತಿದೆ.
It is like a grain of mustard, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth;
32 ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಅದು ಬೆಳೆದು ತೋಟದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಸ್ಯಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ರೆಂಬೆಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಮರವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಬಂದು ಅದರ ನೆರಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗೂಡು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
and when it is sown, it grows up, and becomes greater than all the herbs, and puts forth great branches, so that the birds of the air can lodge under its shade.
33 ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಅನೇಕ ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಅವರ ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉಪದೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And with many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear.
34 ಸಾಮ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಏನೂ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೊಡನೆ ಏಕಾಂತವಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
But without a parable he did not speak to them; but in private he explained all things to his own disciples.
35 ಆ ದಿನ ಸಂಜೆಯಾದಾಗ ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ, “ನಾವು ಆಚೆದಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
And on the same day, when the evening was come, he saith to them, Let us pass over to the other side.
36 ಅವರು ಜನರ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಇದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ದೋಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು. ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬೇರೆ ದೋಣಿಗಳೂ ಇದ್ದವು.
And leaving the multitude, they take him with them, as he was, in the boat; and there were also other boats with him.
37 ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯು ರಭಸವಾಗಿ ಬೀಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಲೆಗಳು ದೋಣಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸಿದವು. ಆಗ ದೋಣಿಯೊಳಗೆ ನೀರು ನುಗ್ಗಿ ಅದು ಮುಳುಗಿ ಹೋಗುವುದರಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.
And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves heat into the boat, so that it was already filling.
38 ಯೇಸು ದೋಣಿಯ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿಂಬಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಒರಗಿ ನಿದ್ದೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ, “ಗುರುವೇ, ನಾವು ಮುಳುಗಿ ಸಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಿಮಗೆ ಚಿಂತೆಯಿಲ್ಲವೇ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
And he was in the stern, asleep on the pillow; and they awake him, and say to him, Teacher, carest thou not that we are perishing?
39 ಯೇಸು ಎದ್ದು ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಅಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ, “ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರು, ಶಾಂತವಾಗು!” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದರು. ಆಗ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯು ನಿಂತು ಹೋಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತವಾಯಿತು.
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, Peace! be still! And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಏಕೆ ಭಯಪಡುತ್ತೀರಿ? ನಿಮಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲವೇ?” ಎಂದರು.
And he said to them, Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have not faith?
41 ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಭಯಭೀತರಾಗಿ, “ಇವರು ಯಾರಿರಬಹುದು? ಗಾಳಿಯೂ ಸರೋವರವೂ ಸಹ ಇವರ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತವಲ್ಲಾ!” ಎಂದು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, Who then is this, that even the wind and the waves obey him?
