ಮಾರ್ಕನು 14
1 ಪಸ್ಕದ ಮತ್ತು ಹುಳಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯ ಹಬ್ಬ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಎರಡು ದಿವಸಗಳಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೂ ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರೂ ಉಪಾಯದಿಂದ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಹಿಡಿದು ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮಾರ್ಗ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
Now it was the Passover and the Unleavened [cakes], after two days. And the High-priests and Scribes were seeking, how, with guile, they might secure, and lay him;
2 ಆದರೆ ಅವರು, “ಜನರು ದಂಗೆ ಎದ್ದಾರು, ಹಬ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಡ,” ಎಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
for they were saying—Not in the feast, lest there be an uproar of the people.
3 ಯೇಸು ಬೇಥಾನ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗಿಯಾದ ಸೀಮೋನನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಬಹು ಬೆಲೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಅಚ್ಚ ಜಟಾಮಾಂಸಿ ಮೂಲಿಕೆಯ ಸುಗಂಧ ತೈಲದ ಭರಣಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು, ಅದನ್ನು ಒಡೆದು, ಯೇಸುವಿನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುರಿಸಿದಳು.
And, he being in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he was reclining, there came a woman, holding an alabaster-jar of perfume, pure spikenard, very costly; and breaking the jar she was pouring down [the perfume], upon his head.
4 ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕೆಲವರು ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು, “ಈ ತೈಲವನ್ನು ಹೀಗೆ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇಕೆ?
But there were some much displeased among themselves—To what end hath, this waste of the perfume happened?
5 ಇದನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಬೆಲೆಗೆ ಮಾರಿ ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬಹುದಾಗಿತ್ತಲ್ಲಾ?” ಎಂದು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಂದಿಸಿದರು.
For this perfume could have been sold for above three hundred denaries, and given unto the destitute! and they were indignant with her.
6 ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು, “ಈಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಿರಿ, ಈಕೆಗೆ ಏಕೆ ತೊಂದರೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಈಕೆಯು ನನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
But, Jesus, said—Let her alone! Why are ye reproaching, her? A seemly work, hath she wrought, in me;
7 ಬಡವರು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಿಮಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿದ್ದರೆ, ನೀವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಯಾವಾಗಲಾದರೂ ಉಪಕಾರ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
For, always, have ye, the destitute, with you, and whensoever ye please, ye can, unto them, [at any time] do well! But, me, not, always, have ye.
8 ಈಕೆಯು ತನ್ನಿಂದಾದಷ್ಟು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ನನ್ನ ಶವಸಂಸ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
What she had, she used, —She took it beforehand to anoint my body for the burial;
9 ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಲೋಕದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯು ಸಾರಲಾಗುವದೋ, ಅಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಈ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಸಹ ಈಕೆಯ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗುವುದು,” ಎಂದರು.
And, verily, say unto you—Wheresoever the glad-message shall be proclaimed throughout the whole world, —also what she did, will be told for a memorial of her.
10 ಆಗ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದ ಯೂದ ಇಸ್ಕರಿಯೋತನು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರಿಗೆ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಡಲು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
And, Judas Iscariot, who was one of he twelve, went away unto the High-priests, that, him, he might deliver up unto them.
11 ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹಣ ಕೊಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಮಾತುಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಯೂದನು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
Now, when they heard, they rejoiced, and promised to give him, silver; and he was seeking how, at a favourable opportunity, he might, deliver him up.
12 ಅಂದು ಹುಳಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ದಿನ ಅಂದರೆ ಪಸ್ಕದ ಕುರಿಯನ್ನು ವಧಿಸುವ ದಿನವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಪಸ್ಕದ ಊಟ ಮಾಡಲು ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸೋಣ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
And, on the first day of the unleavened cakes, when, the passover, they were slaying, his disciples say unto him—Where wilt thou, we depart and make ready, that thou mayest eat the passover?
13 ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಕೊಡವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸುವನು. ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿರಿ.
And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them—Go your way into the city, and there will meet you a man, a jar of water, bearing, —follow him;
14 ಅವನು ಯಾವ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೋ ಆ ಮನೆಯ ಯಜಮಾನನಿಗೆ, ‘ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪಸ್ಕಭೋಜನ ಮಾಡಲು ಅತಿಥಿಯ ಕೊಠಡಿ ಎಲ್ಲಿದೆ? ಎಂದು ಬೋಧಕರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ.
and, wheresoever he shall enter, say ye unto the householder—The teacher, saith, Where is my lodging, where, the passover, with my disciples, I may eat?
15 ಅವನು ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲಂತಸ್ತಿನ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ಕೊಠಡಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುವನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
And, he, unto you, will shew, a large upper-room, spread ready, and, there, make ye ready for us.
16 ಅವರ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಯೇಸು ತಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಕಂಡು ಪಸ್ಕವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದರು.
And the disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found, according as he had said unto them, —and they made ready the passover.
17 ಸಂಜೆಯಾದಾಗ, ಯೇಸು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದರು.
And, when evening arrived, he cometh, with the twelve.
18 ಅವರು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಯೇಸು, “ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ನನಗೆ ದ್ರೋಹ ಬಗೆಯುವನು ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
And, as they were reclining and eating, Jesus said—Verily, I say unto you—One from among you, will deliver me up, he that is eating with me.
19 ಆಗ ಅವರು ದುಃಖಿಸಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬರಾಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಅವನು ನಾನಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
They began to be grieved, and to be saying unto him, one by one, —Can it be, I?
20 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಅವನು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು. ಎಂದರೆ, ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈ ಅದ್ದುವವನೇ.
And, he, said unto them—One of the twelve, he that is dipping with me into the [one] bowl:
21 ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನನಗೆ ಯಾವನು ದ್ರೋಹಬಗೆಯುತ್ತಾನೋ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ! ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಹುಟ್ಟದೇ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
Because, the Son of Man, indeed, goeth his way, —according as it is written concerning him; but alas! for that man, through whom the Son of Man is being delivered up, —Well for him, if that man, had not been born!
22 ಅವರು ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಯೇಸು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ, ಮುರಿದು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, “ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಇದು ನನ್ನ ದೇಹ,” ಎಂದರು.
And, as they were eating, taking a loaf, he blessed and brake, and gave unto them, and said—Take! this, is, my body;
23 ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾಸ್ತುತಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿದರು.
And, taking a cup, he offered thanks, and gave unto them; and they, all, drank of it.
24 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಇದು ಬಹುಜನರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸುರಿಸಲಾಗುವ ಹೊಸ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ನನ್ನ ರಕ್ತ.
And he said unto them—This, is, my blood of the covenant, that is to be poured out in behalf of many.
25 ನಾನು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಆ ದಿನದವರೆಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
Verily, I say unto you—No more, will I in anywise drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I shall be drinking it new, in the kingdom of God.
26 ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಒಂದು ಕೀರ್ತನೆ ಹಾಡಿ ಓಲಿವ್ ಗುಡ್ಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು.
And, having sung praise, they went forth unto the Mount of Olives.
27 ಆಗ ಯೇಸು, “ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಬರೆದಿದೆ: “‘ನಾನು ಕುರುಬನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯುವೆನು, ಕುರಿಗಳು ಚದರಿಹೋಗುವುವು.’
And Jesus saith unto them—Ye, all, will find cause of stumbling, because it is written, —I will smite the shepherd, and, the sheep, will be scattered abroad;
28 ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಎದ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮಗಿಂತ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಗಲಿಲಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
But, after my arising, I will go before you into Galilee.
29 ಪೇತ್ರನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋದರೂ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And, Peter, said unto him—Even if, all, shall find cause of stumbling, certainly not, I.
30 ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ದಿವಸ, ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿಯೇ ಎರಡು ಸಾರಿ ಹುಂಜ ಕೂಗುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
And Jesus saith unto him—Verily, I say unto thee, thou, this day, in this night, before that twice a cock crow, thrice, will deny me.
31 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪೇತ್ರನು, “ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಾಯಬೇಕಾದರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು ಬಹು ಆವೇಶದಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
But he, most vehemently, was saying—Even though I must needs die with thee, in nowise, will I, deny thee. Likewise, indeed, were, all besides, saying.
32 ಅವರು ಗೆತ್ಸೇಮನೆ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಿ ಬರುವವರೆಗೆ ನೀವು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
And they come into an estate the name of which is Gethsemane, and he saith unto his disciples—Sit ye here, while I pray.
33 ಯೇಸು ಪೇತ್ರ, ಯಾಕೋಬ, ಯೋಹಾನರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ, ಬಹು ಬೆರಗಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಥೆಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿ,
And he taketh Peter and James and John with him, and began to be exceedingly amazed, and in great distress;
34 “ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಸಾಯುವಷ್ಟು ತೀವ್ರವಾದ ದುಃಖಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಿದೆ. ನೀವು ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
and he saith unto them—Encompassed with grief is my soul, unto death: Abide ye here, and be watching.
35 ಯೇಸು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದರೆ ಆ ಗಳಿಗೆಯು ತನ್ನಿಂದ ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿ,
And, going forward a little, he fell upon the ground, and was praying that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him;
36 “ಅಪ್ಪಾ, ತಂದೆಯೇ, ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯ, ಈ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಡು. ಆದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಚಿತ್ತದಂತಲ್ಲ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಚಿತ್ತದಂತೆಯೇ ಆಗಲಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
and was saying—Abba! O Father! All things, are possible to thee: Bear aside this cup from me; but not what, I, will, but what, thou, [wilt].
37 ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಬಂದು, ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಪೇತ್ರನಿಗೆ, “ಸೀಮೋನನೇ, ನೀನು ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀಯಾ? ಒಂದು ಘಂಟೆಯಾದರೂ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿರಲಾರೆಯಾ?
And he cometh and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter—Simon! art thou sleeping? Hadst thou not strength, one hour, to watch?
38 ನೀವು ಶೋಧನೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗದಂತೆ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿರಿ. ಆತ್ಮವು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಶರೀರವು ಬಲಹೀನವಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
Be watching and praying, that ye enter not into temptation: the, spirit, indeed, is willing, but, the flesh, weak.
39 ಯೇಸು ತಿರುಗಿ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಅದೇ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದರು.
And, again, departing, he prayed, [the same thing, saying].
40 ಯೇಸು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿದಾಗ, ಅವರು ತಿರುಗಿ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡರು. ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಭಾರವಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ಏನು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And, again, coming, he found them sleeping, for their eyes were being, weighed down, —and they knew not what to answer him.
41 ಯೇಸು ಮೂರನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ ಬಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಇನ್ನೂ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಾ? ಸಾಕು! ಸಮಯವು ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿದೆ; ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನಾನು ಪಾಪಿಗಳ ಕೈವಶವಾಗಲಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them—Ye are sleeping the remaining time and taking your rest: —It is enough! the hour hath come! Lo! the Son of Man is being delivered up into the hands of sinners.
42 ಏಳಿರಿ ಹೋಗೋಣ. ಇಗೋ, ನನಗೆ ದ್ರೋಹಬಗೆಯುವವನು ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
Be rousing yourselves, let us be leading on! Lo! he that is delivering me up, hath drawn near.
43 ಯೇಸು ಇನ್ನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದ ಯೂದನು ಬಂದನು. ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರ, ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿರಿಯರ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಜನರ ಸಮೂಹವು ಖಡ್ಗ ದೊಣ್ಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನೊಂದಿಗಿತ್ತು.
And, straightway, while yet he is speaking, Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, cometh near, and, with him, a multitude, with swords and clubs, from the High-priests and the Scribes and the Elders.
44 ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ದ್ರೋಹಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ದಿಡುತ್ತೇನೋ ಆತನೇ ಯೇಸು, ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು, ಭದ್ರವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಗುರುತು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನು.
He that is delivering him up hath given an agreed sign unto them, saying—Whomsoever I shall kiss, he, it is! Secure him, and be leading away, safely.
45 ಯೂದನು ಬಂದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, “ಗುರುವೇ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟನು.
And, coming, straightway, stepping forward to him, he saith—Rabbi! and openly kissed him.
46 ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಹಾಕಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದರು.
And, they, thrust their hands on him, and secured him.
47 ಆದರೆ ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹಿರಿದು ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನ ಆಳನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಅವನ ಕಿವಿಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕಿದನು.
[A certain] one of the by-standers, drawing a sword, smote the servant of the High priest, and took off his, ear.
48 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಖಡ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ದೊಣ್ಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ದಂಗೆಗಾರನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬರುವಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿರಾ?
And Jesus, answering, said unto them—As against a robber, came ye forth, with swords and clubs, to arrest me?
49 ನಾನು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನವೂ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದೆನು. ಆಗ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದು ನೆರವೇರಲೇಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದರು.
Daily, was I with you, in the temple, teaching; and ye secured me not. But, that, the Scriptures, may be fulfilled…
50 ಆಗ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿಹೋದರು.
And they, all, forsook, him, and fled.
51 ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಮೇಲೆ ದುಪ್ಪಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡ ಯುವಕನೊಬ್ಬನು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಜನರ ಗುಂಪು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯಲು,
And, a certain young man, was following with him, having cast about himself a fine Indian cloth, over his naked body, —and they are securing him;
52 ಅವನು ಆ ದುಪ್ಪಟಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಬರೀ ಮೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡಿಹೋದನು.
but, he, leaving behind the cloth, fled naked.
53 ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು. ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೂ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರೂ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸಭೆ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದರು.
And they led away Jesus unto the High-priest; and all the High-priests and the Elders and the Scribes gather together.
54 ಪೇತ್ರನು ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನ ಅಂಗಳದವರೆಗೂ ದೂರದಿಂದಲೇ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಆಳುಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಚಳಿ ಕಾಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
And, Peter, afar of, followed him, as far as within, into the court of the High-priest; and was sitting with the attendants, and warming himself by the light.
55 ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೂ ಆಲೋಚನಾ ಸಭೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಒಂದು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯೂ ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Now, the High-priest, and all the High-council, were seeking, against Jesus, testimony, with the intent to put him to death, —and were not finding any;
56 ಅನೇಕರು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಿದರೂ ಅವರ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಲಿಲ್ಲ.
for, many, were bearing false-witness against him, and the testimonies were not, agreed.
57 ತರುವಾಯ ಕೆಲವರು ಎದ್ದು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ,
And some, standing up, were bearing false-witness against him, saying—
58 “‘ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟದಿರುವ ಮತ್ತೊಂದನ್ನು ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ಈತನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
We, heard him saying, I, will pull down this shrine, the one made by hand, and, in three days, another, not made by hand, will I raise.
59 ಹೀಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆಯಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And, not even so, was the testimony, agreed.
60 ಆಗ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು ಎದ್ದು ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಏನೂ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವ ಈ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಏನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
And, the High-priest rising up into the midst, questioned Jesus, saying—Answerest thou, nothing? What are these, against thee, witnessing?
61 ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಏನೂ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡದೆ ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ತಿರುಗಿ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು, “ನೀನು ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತನ ದೇವರ ಪುತ್ರನಾಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೋ?” ಎಂದು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
But, he, was silent, and answered, nothing. Again, the High-priest was questioning him, and saith unto him—Art, thou, the Christ the Son of the Blessed?
62 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು, “ಹೌದು ನಾನೇ, ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನಾನು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸೀನನಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ ಆಕಾಶದ ಮೇಘಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವುದನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ಕಾಣುವಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
And Jesus said—I, am; and ye shall see the Son of Man—sitting, on the right hand, of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.
63 ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು ತನ್ನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಕೊಂಡು, “ಇನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಏತಕ್ಕೆ?
And, the High-priest, having rent asunder his inner-garments, saith—What, further, need have we, of witnesses?
64 ನೀವು ದೇವದೂಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೀರಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತೋರುತ್ತದೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ, “ಈತನಿಗೆ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆ ಆಗಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಪುಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
Heard ye the profanity? What, to you, doth it appear? And they, all, condemned him to be, worthy, of, death.
65 ತರುವಾಯ ಕೆಲವರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಗುಳಿ ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗುದ್ದುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ ಹೇಳು,” ಎಂದರು. ಕಾವಲಾಳುಗಳು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡುಹೋಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದರು.
And some began to be spitting at him, and, covering up his face, and to be buffeting him, and saying to him—Prophesy! And, the attendants, with smart blows, took him.
66 ಪೇತ್ರನು ಅಂಗಳದ ಕೆಳಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನ ದಾಸಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬಳು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಳು.
And, Peter, being, below in the court, there cometh one of the maid-servants of the High-priest;
67 ಪೇತ್ರನು ಚಳಿ ಕಾಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಆಕೆಯು ಕಂಡು ಅವನನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿ, “ನೀನು ಸಹ ಆ ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸುವಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದವನು,” ಎಂದಳು.
and, seeing Peter warming himself, having looked at him, saith—And, thou, wast, with the Nazarene—with Jesus.
68 ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿ, “ನೀನು ಏನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀಯೋ ಅದು ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುತ್ತಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ ದ್ವಾರದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋದನು. ಆಗ ಹುಂಜವು ಕೂಗಿತು.
But, he, denied, saying—I neither know [him], nor do I well understand what, thou, sayest; and went out into the porch.
69 ಆ ದಾಸಿಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕಂಡು ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ, “ಇವನು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದಳು.
And, the maid-servant, seeing him, began, again, to be saying unto the by-standers—This one, is, from among them.
70 ಆಗ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಅದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದನು. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವರು ತಿರುಗಿ ಪೇತ್ರನಿಗೆ, “ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ನೀನು ಸಹ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು, ನೀನು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದವನೇ,” ಎಂದರು.
But, he, again, was denying. And, after a little again, the by-standers, were saying unto Peter—Truly, thou, art, from among them; for thou art, a Galilaean, also.
71 ಅವನು ಶಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ, “ನೀವು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ನಾನರಿಯೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
And, he, began to be cursing and swearing—I know not this man, of whom ye are speaking!
72 ಕೂಡಲೇ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ ಹುಂಜ ಕೂಗಿತು. ಹೀಗೆ, “ಎರಡು ಸಾರಿ ಹುಂಜ ಕೂಗುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಯೇಸು ತನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಪೇತ್ರನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ವ್ಯಥೆಪಟ್ಟು ಅತ್ತನು.
And, straightway, a second time, a cock, crowed; and Peter was reminded of the declaration, how Jesus had said to him—Before a cock, twice, crow, thrice, wilt thou deny me. And, when he thought thereon, he began to weep.
