ಲೂಕನು 6
1 ಒಂದು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸು ಪೈರಿನ ಹೊಲಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಟಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆಗ ಅವರ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ತೆನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಅದರ ಕಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And on a sabbath it occurred, as Jesus walked among the tilled grounds, that his disciples plucked ears, and rubbed them in their hands and ate.
2 ಫರಿಸಾಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಶೆಯ ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಏಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ?” ಎಂದರು.
And some of the Pharisees said to them: Why do ye that, which it is not lawful to do on the sabbath?
3 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು, “ದಾವೀದನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡಿಗರು ಹಸಿದಿದ್ದಾಗ ಅವನು ಏನು ಮಾಡಿದನೆಂದು ನೀವು ಓದಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ?
Jesus replied, and said to them: Have ye not read what David did, when he was hungry, he and those with him?
4 ಅವನು ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಯಾಜಕರ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆಯವರು ತಿನ್ನುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೋಶೆ ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮ್ಮತವಲ್ಲದ ನೈವೇದ್ಯದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ತಿಂದು, ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡಿಗರಿಗೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನಲ್ಲವೇ” ಎಂದರು.
How he entered into the house of God, and took and ate the bread of the Lord's table, and gave it to those that were with him; which it was not lawful, except for the priests only, to eat?
5 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನಾನು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ತಿಗೂ ಕರ್ತ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
And he said to them: The Son of man is lord of the sabbath.
6 ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಗೈ ಬತ್ತಿದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದನು.
And on another sabbath, he entered a synagogue and taught. And a man was there, whose right hand was withered.
7 ಆಗ ಫರಿಸಾಯರೂ ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರೂ ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಪ್ಪು ಕಂಡು ಹಿಡಿಯಬೇಕೆಂದು, ಅವರು ಆ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಯೇಸು ಗುಣಪಡಿಸುವರೋ ಏನೋ ಎಂದು ಗಮನಿಸಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
And the Scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath; that they might be able to accuse him.
8 ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಕೈಬತ್ತಿದವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಎದ್ದು ಬಂದು ನಡುವೆ ನಿಂತುಕೋ,” ಎಂದಾಗ ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡನು.
And as he knew their thoughts, he said to the man with a withered hand: Rise and come into the midst of the congregation. And when he came and stood there,
9 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ: ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದು ಮೋಶೆಯ ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮ್ಮತವೋ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದೋ? ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುವುದೋ ಅಳಿಸುವುದೋ?” ಎಂದರು.
Jesus said to them: I ask you, What is it lawful to do on the sabbath? that which is good? or that which is evil? to save life or to destroy it?
10 ಯೇಸು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಇದ್ದವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಚಾಚು,” ಎಂದರು. ಅವನು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನ ಕೈ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಗುಣವಾಯಿತು.
And he looked upon them all; and then said to him, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched out his hand, and it was restored like the other.
11 ಆದರೆ ಫರಿಸಾಯರೂ ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರೂ ತುಂಬಾ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
And they were filled with envy; and they conferred one with another, what they should do to Jesus.
12 ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದರು.
And in those days, Jesus retired to a mountain to pray; and he passed the night there, in prayer to God.
13 ಬೆಳಗಾದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರಿಗೆ “ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರು” ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟರು.
And when the day dawned, he called his disciples, and selected from them twelve, whom he named Legates:
14 ಅವರು ಯಾರೆಂದರೆ: ಪೇತ್ರನೆಂದು ಹೆಸರು ಹೊಂದಿದ ಸೀಮೋನ, ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರ ಅಂದ್ರೆಯ, ಯಾಕೋಬ, ಯೋಹಾನ, ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪ, ಬಾರ್ತೊಲೊಮಾಯ,
Simon whom he named Cephas, and Andrew his brother, and James, and John, and Philip, and Bartholomew,
15 ಮತ್ತಾಯ, ತೋಮ, ಅಲ್ಫಾಯನ ಮಗ ಯಾಕೋಬ, ದೇಶಾಭಿಮಾನಿ ಎಂದು ಅನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಸೀಮೋನ,
and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alpheus, and Simon who was called Zelotes,
16 ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಮಗ ಯೂದ, ಮತ್ತು ದ್ರೋಹಿಯಾದ ಇಸ್ಕರಿಯೋತ ಯೂದ.
and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.
17 ಯೇಸು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿದು ಸಮತಟ್ಟಾದ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಅವರ ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಗುಂಪು ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೂದಾಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಟೈರ್, ಸೀದೋನ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿರುವ ಸಮುದ್ರ ತೀರದಿಂದಲೂ
And Jesus descended with them, and stood in the plain; and a great company of his disciples, and a multitude of assembled people, from all Judaea, and from Jerusalem and from the seashore of Tyre and Sidon; who came to hear his discourse, and to be healed of their diseases;
18 ಅವರ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ತಮ್ಮ ರೋಗಗಳಿಂದ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥರಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಜನರು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮೂಹವಾಗಿ ಬಂದರು. ದುರಾತ್ಮಗಳಿಂದ ಪೀಡಿತರಾದವರೂ ಬಂದು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥರಾದರು,
and they who were afflicted by unclean spirits: and they were healed.
19 ಆಗ ಸಮೂಹದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರಿಂದ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಹೊರಟು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
And the whole multitude sought to touch him; for there went a virtue out of him and healed them all.
20 ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: “ಬಡವರಾದ ನೀವು ಧನ್ಯರು, ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ನಿಮ್ಮದೇ.
And he lifted his eyes upon his disciples, and said: Blessed are ye poor; for the kingdom of God is yours.
21 ಈಗ ಹಸಿದವರಾದ ನೀವು ಧನ್ಯರು, ನೀವು ತೃಪ್ತಿಹೊಂದುವಿರಿ. ಈಗ ಅಳುವವರಾದ ನೀವು ಧನ್ಯರು, ನೀವು ನಗುವಿರಿ.
Blessed are ye that hunger now; for ye will be satisfied. Blessed are ye that weep now; for ye will laugh.
22 ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನನ್ನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಜನರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಮಾಡಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಹಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಿ, ನಿಂದಿಸಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಕೆಟ್ಟದೆಂದು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದರೆ ನೀವು ಧನ್ಯರು.
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and repel you, and revile you, and cast out your names as base, for the Son of man's sake.
23 “ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿರಿ, ಉಲ್ಲಾಸದಿಂದ ಕುಣಿದಾಡಿರಿ. ಇಗೋ, ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಹಾ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದು. ಈ ಜನರ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
Rejoice in that day and exult, for your reward is great in heaven; for so did their fathers to the prophets.
24 “ಆದರೆ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರೇ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
But, woe to you that are rich; for ye have received your consolation.
25 ಈಗ ತಿಂದು ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಿಂದಿರುವವರೇ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಹಸಿವೆಯಾಗುವುದು. ಈಗ ನಗುವವರೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ದುಃಖಿಸಿ ಗೋಳಾಡುವಿರಿ.
Woe to you that are full; for ye will hunger. Woe to you that laugh now, for ye will weep and mourn.
26 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಇವರ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಸುಳ್ಳು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
Woe to you, when men shall speak your praise; for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
27 “ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವವರೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ: ನಿಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿರಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಮಾಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿರಿ,
And to you who hear, I say: Love your enemies; and do favors to them that hate you;
28 ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿರಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನ ಪಡಿಸುವವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿರಿ.
and bless them that curse you; and pray for them that drag you with violence.
29 ಒಂದು ಕೆನ್ನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯುವವನಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದನ್ನು ಸಹ ತೋರಿಸು. ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನಿಗೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಒಳ ಅಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಡು.
To him that smiteth thee on thy cheek, offer the other: and from him that taketh away thy cloak, keep not back thy tunic.
30 ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಕೇಳುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಕೊಡು, ನಿನ್ನ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನಿಂದ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕೇಳಬೇಡ.
To every one that asketh of thee, give thou: and from him that taketh thy property, demand it not.
31 ಇತರರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ನೀವು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೀರೋ, ಅದನ್ನೇ ನೀವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ.
And as ye would that men should do to you, so do ye also to them.
32 “ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರನ್ನೇ ನೀವು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದರೆ, ನಿಮಗೇನು ದೊಡ್ಡಸ್ತಿಕೆ ಬಂದೀತು? ಪಾಪಿಗಳು ಸಹ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
For, if ye love them that love you, what goodness is it in you? For even sinners love those that love them.
33 ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ವಿಶೇಷವೇನು? ಪಾಪಿಗಳು ಸಹ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲಾ.
And if ye do good to them that do good to you, what goodness is it in you? For even sinners do the same.
34 ಯಾರಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೀರೋ ಅಂಥವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಲಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ, ಅದರಿಂದ ನಿಮಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷವೇನು? ಪಾಪಿಗಳು ಸಹ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತಾವು ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಪಡೆಯುವಂತೆ, ಪಾಪಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಲ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
And if ye lend to one from whom ye expect recompense, what goodness is it in you? For sinners also lend to sinners, to receive adequate recompense.
35 ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿರಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಏನನ್ನೂ ತಿರುಗಿ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ಸಾಲ ಕೊಡಿರಿ, ಆಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿರುವುದು. ನೀವು ಮಹೋನ್ನತ ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿರುವಿರಿ, ಅವರು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟವರಿಗೂ ದಯೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
But love ye your enemies, and do them good; and lend ye, and disappoint the hopes of no one: and great will be your reward, and ye will be children of the Highest; for he is kind to the evil, and to the unthankful.
36 ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯು ಕರುಣೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ನೀವೂ ಕರುಣೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿರಿ.
Be ye therefore merciful, as also your Father is merciful.
37 “ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಆಗ ನಿಮಗೂ ತೀರ್ಪಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇತರರನ್ನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಆಗ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿರಿ, ಆಗ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸುವರು.
Judge not, and ye will not be judged: condemn not, and ye will not be condemned: release, and ye will be released.
38 ಕೊಡಿರಿ, ಆಗ ನಿಮಗೂ ಕೊಡುವರು. ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಅಳತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒತ್ತಿ, ಕುಲುಕಿ, ಚೆಲ್ಲುವಂತೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಡಿಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕುವರು. ನೀವು ಅಳೆಯುವ ಅಳತೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಿಮಗೂ ಅಳೆದುಕೊಡಲಾಗುವುದು,” ಎಂದರು.
Give ye, and it will be given to you; in good measure, pressed down, and running over, will they cast into your lap. For, with what measure ye measure, it will be measured to you.
39 ಯೇಸು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು: “ಕುರುಡನು ಕುರುಡನಿಗೆ ದಾರಿತೋರಿಸಬಲ್ಲನೋ? ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಹಳ್ಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬೀಳುವರಲ್ಲವೇ?
And he spake a similitude to them: Can a blind man lead a blind? Will not both fall into the ditch?
40 ತನ್ನ ಗುರುವಿಗಿಂತ ಶಿಷ್ಯನು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣನಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಗುರುವಿನಂತೆ ಇರುವನಷ್ಟೇ.
No disciple is better than his teacher; for whoever is perfect, will be like his teacher.
41 “ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮರದ ದಿಮ್ಮಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡದೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮರದ ಚೂರನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದೇಕೆ?
And why observest thou the straw that is in thy brother's eye, but regardest not the beam that is in thy own eye?
42 ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮರದ ದಿಮ್ಮಿಯನ್ನು ನೀನು ತೆಗೆಯದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೆ, ‘ಸಹೋದರನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮರದ ಚೂರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ,’ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಕಪಟಿಯೇ, ಮೊದಲು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮರದ ದಿಮ್ಮಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕು, ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಕಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮರದ ಚೂರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಲು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುವುದು.
Or how canst thou say to thy brothers, My brother, allow me to pluck the straw from thy eye; when, lo, the beam that is in thy own eye, thou regardest not. Hypocrite! first cast the beam out thy eye, and then thy vision will be clear to pluck the straw from thy brother's eye.
43 “ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮರವು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮರವು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
There is no good tree, that beareth bad fruits; nor a bad tree, that beareth good fruits.
44 ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಮರವು ಅದರ ಫಲದಿಂದಲೇ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಿಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಜೂರಗಳನ್ನು ಕೀಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಮುಳ್ಳು ಕಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
For every tree is known by its fruits. Do men gather figs from thorn-bushes? So, neither do they pluck grapes from brambles.
45 ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದಿಂದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನೇ ಹೊರತರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟವನು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದಿಂದ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಹೊರತರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿರುವದನ್ನೇ ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
A good man, from the good treasure that is in his heart, bringeth out good things: and a bad man, from the bad treasure that is in his heart, bringeth out bad things. For, from the abundance of the heart, the lips speak.
46 “ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀವು, ‘ಕರ್ತದೇವರೇ, ಕರ್ತದೇವರೇ,’ ಎಂದು ಕರೆದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವು ಮಾಡದೆ ಇರುವುದು ಏಕೆ?
And why call ye me, My Lord, my Lord; while ye do not that which I command you?
47 ಯಾರು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅದರಂತೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೋ, ಅಂಥವರು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
Every one that cometh to me, and heareth my words, and doeth them, I will show to whom he is like:
48 ಅವರು ಆಳವಾಗಿ ಅಗೆದು ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ, ಮನೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದವರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪ್ರಳಯವು ಎದ್ದು, ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ಆ ಮನೆಗೆ ರಭಸವಾಗಿ ಬಡಿದರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಕದಲಿಸಲಿಕ್ಕಾಗದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದು ಬಲವಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
He is like a man that built a house; and he dug and went deep, and laid the foundations on a rock: and when a flood occurred, the flood rushed upon that house, and could not move it, for its foundation rested on a rock.
49 ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಯೂ ಅದರಂತೆ ನಡೆಯದೆ ಇರುವವರು, ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಮರಳಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಮನೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದವರಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ಆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಳಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅದು ಕುಸಿದು ಬಿತ್ತು. ಹೀಗೆ ಆ ಮನೆಯು ಸರ್ವನಾಶವಾಯಿತು.”
But he that heareth and doeth not, is like a man that built his house upon the earth, without a foundation; and when the torrent rushed upon it, it fell immediately, and the ruin of that house was great.
