ಲೂಕನು 4
1 ಯೇಸು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮಭರಿತರಾಗಿ, ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿ ತೀರದಿಂದ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು, ದೇವರಾತ್ಮರಿಂದ ಅರಣ್ಯದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಹೊಂದಿ,
Yeshua, full of the Rukha d'Qudsha, returned from the Yurdinan, and was led by the Rukha into the wilderness
2 ನಲವತ್ತು ದಿನಗಳು ಸೈತಾನನಿಂದ ಶೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಿದರು. ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸು ಏನೂ ತಿನ್ನಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ದಿನಗಳು ಮುಗಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ಹಸಿವಾಯಿತು.
for forty days, being tempted by the devil. He ate nothing in those days. When they were completed, he was hungry.
3 ಸೈತಾನನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ದೇವರ ಪುತ್ರನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಈ ಕಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗುವಂತೆ ಹೇಳು,” ಎಂದನು.
The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread."
4 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ, “‘ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಜೀವಿಸುವುದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದು ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿದೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
Yeshua answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Humankind cannot live by bread alone.'"
5 ಸೈತಾನನು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ, ಲೋಕದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದನು.
And leading him up to a high mountain, the devil showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 ಅನಂತರ ಸೈತಾನನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ಇವುಗಳ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನು. ಇವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟ ಬಂದ ಯಾರಿಗಾದರೂ ನಾನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು.
The devil said to him, "I will give you all this authority, and their glory, for it has been delivered to me; and I give it to whomever I want.
7 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದರೆ, ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ನಿನ್ನದಾಗುವವು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
If you therefore will worship before me, it will all be yours."
8 ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, “‘ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತದೇವರನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು,’ ಎಂದು ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿದೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
Yeshua answered and said to him, "It is written, 'You are to worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"
9 ಸೈತಾನನು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದು ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಅತಿ ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಶಿಖರದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ದೇವರ ಪುತ್ರನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಕೆಳಕ್ಕೆ ಧುಮುಕು,
He led him to Urishlim, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here,
10 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವಂತೆ: “‘ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತಮ್ಮ ದೂತರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವರು
for it is written, 'He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you;'
11 ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳು ಕಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ತಗಲದಂತೆ, ದೂತರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು,’” ಎಂದನು.
and, 'On their hands they will bear you up, lest perhaps you dash your foot against a stone.'"
12 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “‘ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತದೇವರನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಾರದು,’ ಎಂದೂ ಹೇಳಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
And Yeshua, answering, said to him, "It is said, 'Do not test the Lord your God.'"
13 ಸೈತಾನನು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ನಾನಾರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶೋಧಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ತಕ್ಕಕಾಲ ಬರುವ ತನಕ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.
When the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from him until another time.
14 ಯೇಸು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಗಲಿಲಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದರು. ಅವರ ಸುದ್ದಿಯು ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹರಡಿತು.
Yeshua returned in the power of the Rukha into Galila, and news about him spread through all the surrounding area.
15 ಯೇಸು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಿದರು.
He taught in their synagogues, being praised by all.
16 ಯೇಸು ತಾವು ಬೆಳೆದ ನಜರೇತಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ತಮ್ಮ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಂತೆ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದದ ಸುರುಳಿಯನ್ನು ಓದುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತರು.
He came to Natsrath, where he had been brought up. He entered, as was his custom, into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
17 ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಕೈಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯೆಶಾಯನ ಗ್ರಂಥದ ಸುರುಳಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಯೇಸು ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಓದಿದರು:
The scroll of the prophet Eshaya was handed to him, and unrolling the scroll, he found the place where it was written,
18 “ಕರ್ತದೇವರ ಆತ್ಮರು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆ ಸಾರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಕುರುಡರಿಗೆ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಜಜ್ಜಿ ಹೋದವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ,
"The Rukha of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed,
19 ಕರ್ತದೇವರ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯ ವರ್ಷವನ್ನು ಸಾರುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.”
and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."
20 ಯೇಸು ಗ್ರಂಥದ ಸುರುಳಿಯನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿ, ಪರಿಚಾರಕನ ಕೈಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡರು. ಆಗ ಆ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ನಾಟಿದ್ದವು.
He closed the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಈ ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದದ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಇಂದು ನೆರವೇರಿತು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು.
He began to tell them, "Today, this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."
22 ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಿದರು. ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಕೃಪೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು, “ಈತನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಮಗನಲ್ಲವೇ?” ಎಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
All testified about him, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth, and they said, "Is not this Yauseph's son?"
23 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “‘ವೈದ್ಯನೇ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ವಾಸಿಮಾಡಿಕೋ!’ ಎಂಬ ಗಾದೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ, ‘ಕಪೆರ್ನೌಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂತೆಂಥ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ನಡೆಯಿತೆಂದು ನಾವು ಕೇಳಿದೆವು. ಅದನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮಾಡು’ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
He said to them, "Doubtless you will tell me this parable, 'Physician, heal yourself. Whatever we have heard done at Kepharnakhum, do also here in your hometown.'"
24 ಯೇಸು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿ, “ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಯಾವ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೂ ಸ್ವಂತ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವೀಕಾರವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
He said, "Truly I tell you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.
25 ನಿಮಗೆ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ: ಎಲೀಯನ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷ ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಮಳೆ ಬಾರದೆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬರ ಉಂಟಾದಾಗ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ವಿಧವೆಯರು ಇದ್ದರು.
But truly I tell you, there were many widows in Israyel in the days of Eliya, when the sky was shut up three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land.
26 ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರ ಬಳಿಗೂ ದೇವರು ಎಲೀಯನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸದೆ ಸೀದೋನ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸರೆಪ್ತದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ವಿಧವೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.
Eliya was sent to none of them, except to Tsarpath, in the land of Tsaidan, to a woman who was a widow.
27 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಎಲೀಷನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗಿಗಳು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ ಸಿರಿಯದ ನಾಮಾನನ ಹೊರತು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು.
There were many lepers in Israyel in the time of Elaysha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed, except Naaman, the Armaya."
28 ಆಗ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಬಹು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡರು.
They were all filled with wrath in the synagogue, as they heard these things.
29 ಅವರು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆದ್ದು, ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹೊರಗೆ ದಬ್ಬಬೇಕೆಂದು, ತಮ್ಮ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಕಡಿದಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು.
They rose up, threw him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill that their city was built on, that they might throw him off the cliff.
30 ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ಹಾದು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು.
But he, passing through the midst of them, went his way.
31 ಯೇಸು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದ ಕಪೆರ್ನೌಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
He came down to Kepharnakhum, a city of Galila. He was teaching them on the Sabbath day,
32 ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಜನರು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಅಧಿಕಾರದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ್ದಾಗಿತ್ತು.
and they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority.
33 ಆ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ದೆವ್ವಹಿಡಿದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಿರುಚುತ್ತಾ,
In the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon, and he shouted with a loud voice,
34 “ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸುವೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಗೊಡವೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಏಕೆ? ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿರಾ? ನೀವು ಯಾರೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು. ನೀವು ದೇವರ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
saying, "Ah. What have we to do with you, Yeshua, Natsraya? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are — the Holy One of God."
35 ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ, “ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರು, ಅವನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಾ,” ಎಂದರು. ಆ ದೆವ್ವವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಡವಿ, ಬಾಧಿಸದೆ ಅವನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂತು.
Yeshua rebuked him, saying, "Be silent, and come out of him." When the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm.
36 ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬೆರಗಾಗಿ, “ಇದೆಂಥಾ ಮಾತಾಗಿದೆ! ಈತನು ಅಧಿಕಾರದಿಂದಲೂ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡಲು ಅವು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತವಲ್ಲಾ!” ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
Amazement came on all, and they spoke together, one with another, saying, "What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out."
37 ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಸುದ್ದಿಯು ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಡಿತು.
News about him went out into every place of the surrounding region.
38 ಯೇಸು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಸೀಮೋನನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀಮೋನನ ಅತ್ತೆಗೆ ಕಠಿಣ ಜ್ವರವಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವರು ಆಕೆಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
He rose up from the synagogue, and entered into Shimon's house. Now Shimon's mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they appealed to him about her.
39 ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಜ್ವರವನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಲು ಅದು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಯಿತು. ಕೂಡಲೇ ಆಕೆಯು ಎದ್ದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಉಪಚರಿಸಿದಳು.
He stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her. Immediately she rose up and served them.
40 ಸಂಜೆಯಾದ ನಂತರ, ನಾನಾ ವಿಧವಾದ ರೋಗಗಳಿಂದ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರಾದವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಜನರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದರು, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
When the sun was setting, all those who had any sick with various diseases brought them to him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
41 ಅನೇಕರೊಳಗಿಂದ, ದೆವ್ವಗಳು ಸಹ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ನೀವು ದೇವರ ಪುತ್ರ” ಎಂದು ಅರಚಿದವು. ಯೇಸು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಬಾರದೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರೇ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೆಂದು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
Demons also came out from many, crying out, and saying, "You are the Son of God." But he rebuked them and did not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Meshikha.
42 ಬೆಳಗಾದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಯೇಸು ಏಕಾಂತ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು. ಜನರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಬಾರದೆಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ತಡೆದರು.
When it was day, he departed and went into an uninhabited place, and the crowds looked for him, and came to him, and held on to him, so that he would not go away from them.
43 ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಬೇರೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೂ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸಾರಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿರುವುದು ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ,” ಎಂದರು.
But he said to them, "I must proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God to the other cities also. For this reason I have been sent."
44 ಅನಂತರ ಯೇಸು ಯೂದಾಯದ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆ ಸಾರುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.
And he was preaching in the synagogues of Galila.
