ಲೂಕನು 11
1 ಯೇಸು ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಅವರ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಕರ್ತದೇವರೇ, ಯೋಹಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಮಗೂ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಲಿಸಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
And it came to pass, in His being in a certain place praying, as He ceased, a certain one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as also John taught his disciples.”
2 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿರಿ, “ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಾಮವು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವೆಂದು ಎಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರಲಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಬರಲಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಚಿತ್ತವು ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವೇರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೆರವೇರಲಿ.
And He said to them, “When you may pray, say: Our Father who is in the heavens, hallowed be Your Name; Your kingdom come, Your will come to pass, as in Heaven also on earth;
3 ನಮ್ಮ ಅನುದಿನದ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನವೂ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿರಿ.
be giving us daily our appointed bread;
4 ನಮಗೆ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದವರನ್ನು, ನಾವು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿದಂತೆಯೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿರಿ. ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶೋಧನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸದೆ, ಕೇಡಿನಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ.”
and forgive us our sins, for we also ourselves forgive everyone indebted to us; and may You not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil [one].”
5 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಿಗಾದರೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಿರಲಾಗಿ, ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ, ‘ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನೇ, ಮೂರು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಸಾಲವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡು;
And He said to them, “Who of you will have a friend, and will go on to him at midnight, and may say to him, Friend, lend me three loaves,
6 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ,’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು
seeing a friend of mine came out of the way to me, and I have not what I will set before him,
7 ಅವನು ಒಳಗಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಇವನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, ‘ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತೊಂದರೆಪಡಿಸಬೇಡ. ಬಾಗಿಲು ಈಗ ಮುಚ್ಚಿದೆ, ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನನ್ನ ಜೊತೆ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾನೆದ್ದು ಕೊಡಲಾರೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವನು.
and he from within answering may say, Do not give me trouble, the door has already been shut, and my children are with me in the bed, I am not able, having risen, to give to you.
8 ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಅವನು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಇವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡದೆಹೋದರೂ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡದೆ ಬೇಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಇವನಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಕೊಡುವನು.
I say to you, even if he will not give to him, having risen, because of his being his friend, yet because of his persistence, having risen, he will give him as many as he needs;
9 “ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಾಗುವುದು; ಹುಡುಕಿರಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಿಗುವುದು; ತಟ್ಟಿರಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬಾಗಿಲು ತೆರೆಯಲಾಗುವುದು.
and I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you;
10 ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ಹುಡುಕುವವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಗುವುದು; ತಟ್ಟುವವರಿಗೆ ಬಾಗಿಲು ತೆರೆಯಲಾಗುವುದು.
for everyone who is asking receives; and he who is seeking finds; and to him who is knocking it will be opened.
11 “ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿರುವಾತನು, ತನ್ನ ಮಗನು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನೇ, ಮೀನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ, ಮೀನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಹಾವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನೇ?
And of which of you—the father—[if] the son will ask [for] a loaf, will present to him a stone? And [if] a fish, instead of a fish, will present to him a serpent?
12 ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಚೇಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನೇ?
And [if] he may ask [for] an egg, will present to him a scorpion?
13 ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟವರಾದ ನೀವೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬಲ್ಲವರಾದರೆ, ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಿಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮರನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುವರಲ್ಲವೇ!” ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದರು.
If, then, you, being evil, have known to be giving good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father who is from Heaven give the Holy Spirit to those asking Him!”
14 ಯೇಸು ಒಂದು ಮೂಕದೆವ್ವವನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆ ದೆವ್ವವು ಹೊರಟುಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಆ ಮೂಕನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಜನರು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
And He was casting forth a demon, and it was mute, and it came to pass, the demon having gone forth, the mute man spoke, and the multitudes wondered,
15 ಆದರೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು, “ದೆವ್ವಗಳ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಬೆಲ್ಜೆಬೂಲನಿಂದ ಈತನು ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
and certain of them said, “By Beelzebul, ruler of the demons, He casts forth the demons”;
16 ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವರಾಗಿ ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
and others, tempting, were asking [for] a sign out of Heaven from Him.
17 ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು: “ತನಗೆ ತಾನೇ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ವಿಭಾಗಗೊಂಡರೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯವು ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದು, ಒಂದು ಮನೆಯು ತನಗೆ ತಾನೇ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ವಿಭಾಗವಾದರೆ, ಅದು ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವುದು.
And He, knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every kingdom having been divided against itself is desolated; and house against house falls;
18 ಸೈತಾನನು ಸಹ ತನಗೆ ತಾನೇ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಭಾಗವಾದರೆ, ಅವನ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಬೆಲ್ಜೆಬೂಲನಿಂದ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀರಲ್ಲಾ.
and if Satan was also divided against himself, how will his kingdom be made to stand? For you say by Beelzebul is My casting forth the demons,
19 ನಾನು ಬೆಲ್ಜೆಬೂಲನಿಂದ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುವುದಾದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪುತ್ರರು ಯಾರಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ? ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನಿಮ್ಮವರೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವರು.
but if I, by Beelzebul, cast forth the demons—your sons, by whom do they cast forth? Because of this they will be your judges;
20 ನಾನು ದೇವರ ಬಲದಿಂದಲೇ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುವುದಾದರೆ, ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.
but if by the finger of God I cast forth the demons, then the Kingdom of God came unaware on you.
21 “ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನಾದವನೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವುದಾದರೆ ಅವನ ಸೊತ್ತು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿರುವುದು.
When the strong man may keep his hall armed, his goods are in peace;
22 ಆದರೆ ಅವನಿಗಿಂತ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಿ, ಅವನು ಭರವಸೆಯಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಸುಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಂಚುವನು.
but when the stronger than he, having come on [him], may overcome him, he takes away his whole armor in which he had trusted, and he distributes his spoils;
23 “ನನ್ನ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಇರದವನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ನನ್ನೊಡನೆ ಶೇಖರಿಸದವನು ಚದರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
he who is not with Me is against Me, and he who is not gathering with Me scatters.
24 “ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮವು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ, ನೀರಿಲ್ಲದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಗಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಕಾಡಿದರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಅದು, ‘ನಾನು ಹೊರಟು ಬಂದ ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು,
When the unclean spirit may go forth from the man, it walks through waterless places seeking rest, and not finding, it says, I will return to my house from where I came forth;
25 ಅದು ಬಂದು ಆ ಮನೆಯು ಗುಡಿಸಿ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ.
and having come, it finds [it] swept and adorned;
26 ಆ ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮವು ಹೋಗಿ ತನಗಿಂತಲೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟವುಗಳಾದ ಬೇರೆ ಏಳು ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ತನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನ ಒಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಕಡೆಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಮೊದಲಿಗಿಂತ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಾಗಿರುವುದು,” ಎಂದರು.
then it goes, and takes to it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and having entered, they dwell there, and the last of that man becomes worse than the first.”
27 ಯೇಸು ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಆ ಗುಂಪಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊತ್ತು, ನಿಮಗೆ ಹಾಲುಣಿಸಿದ ತಾಯಿ ಧನ್ಯಳು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.
And it came to pass, in His saying these things, a certain woman having lifted up the voice out of the multitude, said to Him, “Blessed the womb that carried You, and the breasts that You sucked!”
28 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು, “ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತರು,” ಎಂದರು.
And He said, “Indeed, rather, blessed those hearing the word of God, and keeping [it]!”
29 ಜನರು ಗುಂಪುಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಯೇಸು, “ಇದು ದುಷ್ಟ ಸಂತತಿಯು. ಇದು ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತದೆ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯೋನನಲ್ಲಿ ಆದ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವೂ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ದೊರಕದು.
And the multitudes crowding together on Him, He began to say, “This generation is evil, it seeks after a sign, and a sign will not be given to it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet,
30 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೋನನು ನಿನೆವೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರಿಗೆ ಸೂಚನೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ, ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನಾದ ನಾನೇ ಈ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಸೂಚನೆಯಾಗಿರುವೆನು.
for as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so also will the Son of Man be to this generation.
31 ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಈ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಇವರನ್ನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುವಳು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಬಂದಳು. ಇಗೋ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ತುಂಬಾ ದೊಡ್ಡವನು ಇಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
A queen of the south will rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and will condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, [One] greater than Solomon [is] here!
32 ನಿನೆವೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರು ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಇದನ್ನು ಅಪರಾಧ ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುವರು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೋನನು ಸಾರಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವರು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡರು; ಇಗೋ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋನನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ತುಂಬಾ ದೊಡ್ಡವನು ಇದ್ದಾನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
Men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it, because they converted at the proclamation of Jonah; and behold, [One] greater than Jonah [is] here!
33 “ಯಾರೂ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚಿ ಮರೆಯಾದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಬಟ್ಟಲ ಕೆಳಗಾಗಲಿ ಇಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಮನೆಯೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವವರಿಗೆ, ಬೆಳಕು ಕಾಣಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅದನ್ನು ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಡುತ್ತಾರಷ್ಟೆ.
And no one having lighted a lamp, puts [it] in a secret place, nor under the measure, but on the lampstand, that those coming in may behold the light.
34 ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ದೀಪವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಹವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿರುವುದು. ಕಣ್ಣು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಹವು ಸಹ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು.
The lamp of the body is the eye, when then your eye may be simple, your whole body is also lightened; and when it may be evil, your body is also darkened;
35 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೆಳಕು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೋ.
take heed, then, lest the light that [is] in you is darkness;
36 ದೇಹದ ಯಾವುದೊಂದು ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಾಗಿರದೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಹವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿರುವುದಾದರೆ, ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನವಾದ ದೀಪವು ನಿನಗೆ ಬೆಳಕುಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಸಮಸ್ತವೂ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿರುವುದು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
if then your whole body is lightened, not having any part darkened, the whole will be lightened, as when the lamp by the brightness may give you light.”
37 ಯೇಸು ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಒಬ್ಬ ಫರಿಸಾಯನು ತನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಊಟ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು, ಆಗ ಅವರು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡರು.
And in [His] speaking, a certain Pharisee was asking Him that He might dine with him, and having gone in, He reclined,
38 ಆದರೆ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ಯೇಸು ಕೈತೊಳೆಯದೆ ಇರುವುದನ್ನು ಫರಿಸಾಯನು ಕಂಡು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟನು.
and the Pharisee having seen, wondered that He did not first immerse Himself before the early meal.
39 ಆಗ ಕರ್ತದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಫರಿಸಾಯರಾದ ನೀವು, ಪಾತ್ರೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ತಟ್ಟೆಯ ಹೊರಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಶುಚಿಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ, ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಒಳಭಾಗವು ಸುಲಿಗೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
And the LORD said to him, “Now you, the Pharisees, make the outside of the cup and of the plate clean, but your inward part is full of robbery and wickedness.
40 ಮೂರ್ಖರೇ! ಹೊರಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದಾತನು ಒಳಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಮಾಡಿದನಲ್ಲವೇ?
Unthinking [ones]! Did He who made the outside not also make the inside?
41 ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿಬಿಡಿರಿ, ಆಗ ನಿಮಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವುವು.
But what you have given [as] alms, and behold, all things are clean to you.
42 “ಫರಿಸಾಯರೇ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಪುದೀನ, ಸದಾಪು ಮತ್ತು ಸಕಲ ವಿಧವಾದ ಸೊಪ್ಪುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಶಮಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಲಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೀರಿ. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ ನೀವು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು.
But woe to you, the Pharisees, because you tithe the mint, and the rue, and every herb, and you pass by the judgment and the love of God; these things [you] should do, and those not to be neglecting.
43 “ಫರಿಸಾಯರೇ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಆಸನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಇಷ್ಟಪಡುತ್ತೀರಿ.
Woe to you, the Pharisees, because you love the first seats in the synagogues and the salutations in the marketplaces.
44 “ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ನೆಲಸಮವಾದ ಸಮಾಧಿಗಳಂತೆ ಇದ್ದೀರಿ, ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆದಾಡುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಿಯರು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you are as the unseen tombs, and the men walking above have not known.”
45 ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಬೋಧಕರೇ, ನೀವು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವುದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಹ ಅವಮಾನಪಡಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ,” ಎಂದನು.
And one of the lawyers answering, says to Him, “Teacher, saying these things, You also insult us”;
46 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು, “ನಿಯಮ ಪಂಡಿತರೇ, ನಿಮಗೂ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಹೊರಲಾಗದ ಹೊರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ, ನೀವಾದರೋ ಈ ಹೊರೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೆರಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದರಿಂದಾದರೂ ಮುಟ್ಟುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
and He said, “And to you, the lawyers, woe! Because you burden men with burdens [too] grievous to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.
47 “ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದರು, ನೀವು ಅವರ ಸಮಾಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತೀರಿ.
Woe to you, because you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
48 ಇದರಿಂದ ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕರಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದರು, ನೀವೋ ಅವರ ಸಮಾಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತೀರಿ.
Then you testify, and are well pleased with the works of your fathers, because they indeed killed them, and you build their tombs;
49 ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ, ದೇವರ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಸಹ ಹೇಳಿರುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ‘ನಾನು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಅವರು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವರು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿಂಸೆಪಡಿಸುವರು.’
because of this also the wisdom of God said: I will send to them prophets, and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute,
50 ಹೀಗೆ ಲೋಕಾದಿಯಿಂದ ಸುರಿಸಲಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ರಕ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಸಂತತಿಯು ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವುದು,
that the blood of all the prophets, that is being poured forth from the foundation of the world, may be required from this generation—
51 ಹೇಬೆಲನ ರಕ್ತ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಬಲಿಪೀಠಕ್ಕೂ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೂ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹತವಾದ ಜಕರೀಯನ ರಕ್ತದವರೆಗೂ ಈ ಸಂತತಿಯು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡಬೇಕು. ಹೌದು, ಈ ಸಂತತಿಯವರೇ ಇದಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು, ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zacharias, who perished between the altar and the house; yes, I say to you, it will be required from this generation.
52 “ನಿಯಮ ಪಂಡಿತರೇ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಬೀಗದ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನೀವಂತೂ ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವವರಿಗೂ ನೀವು ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟುತ್ತೀರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
Woe to you, the lawyers, because you took away the key of the knowledge; you yourselves did not enter; and you hindered those coming in.”
53 ಬಳಿಕ ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ನಿಯಮ ಬೋಧಕರೂ ಫರಿಸಾಯರೂ ಕೋಪಾವೇಶವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ, ಯೇಸು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೆಣಕಿದರು,
And in His speaking these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began fearfully to urge and to press Him to speak about many things,
54 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಏನನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿದು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ತಪ್ಪು ಹೊರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೊಂಚಿನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
laying wait for Him, and seeking to catch something out of His mouth, that they might accuse Him.
