ಪ್ರಲಾಪಗಳು 1
1 ಜನಭರಿತವಾಗಿದ್ದ ನಗರಿಯು ಹೇಗೆ ಬರಿದಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದೆ! ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಳಾದವಳೂ, ಈಗ ಹೇಗೆ ವಿಧವೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ! ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜಕುಮಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದವಳೂ, ಹೇಗೆ ಈಗ ದಾಸಿಯಂತಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ!
How lonely lies the city, once so full of people! She who was great among the nations has become a widow. The princess of the provinces has become a slave.
2 ಅವಳು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾತನೆಗೊಂಡು ಅಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ, ಆಕೆಯ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು, ಆಕೆಯ ಕೆನ್ನೆಗಳ ಮೇಲಿದೆ. ಆಕೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ, ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುವವರು ಒಬ್ಬರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಆಕೆಯ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೆಲ್ಲರೂ, ಆಕೆಗೆ ವಂಚನೆಮಾಡಿ, ಆಕೆಗೆ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಾದರು.
She weeps aloud in the night, with tears upon her cheeks. Among all her lovers there is no one to comfort her. All her friends have betrayed her; they have become her enemies.
3 ಯೆಹೂದವೆಂಬಾಕೆಯು ಸಂಕಟದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ, ಘೋರವಾದ ದಾಸ್ಯದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋದಳು. ಆಕೆಯು ಬೇರೆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗೆ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವವಳಾಗಿ, ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣಳು. ಆಕೆಯು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಆಕೆಯ ಹಿಂಸಕರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಹಿಡಿದರು.
Judah has gone into exile under affliction and harsh slavery; she dwells among the nations but finds no place to rest. All her pursuers have overtaken her in the midst of her distress.
4 ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ದುಃಖಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆಕೆಯ ನಿರ್ಧರಿತ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾರೂ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆಕೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳು ಹಾಳು ಬಿದ್ದಿವೆ. ಆಕೆಯ ಯಾಜಕರು ನರಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆಕೆಯ ಕನ್ಯೆಯರು ದುಃಖಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆಕೆಯು ಕಹಿ ವೇದನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
The roads to Zion mourn, because no one comes to her appointed feasts. All her gates are deserted; her priests groan, her maidens grieve, and she herself is bitter with anguish.
5 ಆಕೆಯ ವೈರಿಗಳು ಆಕೆಯ ಯಜಮಾನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆಕೆಯ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಿಂದ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆಕೆಯ ಅನೇಕ ಪಾಪಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಕಟಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆಕೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಶತ್ರುವಿನ ಮುಂದೆ ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Her foes have become her masters; her enemies are at ease. For the LORD has brought her grief because of her many transgressions. Her children have gone away as captives before the enemy.
6 ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪುತ್ರಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವೈಭವವು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಯಿತು. ಅವಳ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು ಹುಲ್ಲುಗಾವಲು ಕಾಣದ ಜಿಂಕೆಗಳ ಹಾಗಾದರು, ಅವರು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುವವನ ಮುಂದೆ ತ್ರಾಣವಿಲ್ಲದವರ ಹಾಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು.
All the splendor has departed from the Daughter of Zion. Her princes are like deer that find no pasture; they lack the strength to flee in the face of the hunter.
7 ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮು ಕಷ್ಟದ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಕಟದ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ವದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತನಗಿದ್ದ ಸಂಪತ್ತೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಆಕೆಯ ಜನರು ಶತ್ರುವಿನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಯಾರೂ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ವೈರಿಗಳು ಅವಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅವಳ ನಾಶನದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
In the days of her affliction and wandering Jerusalem remembers all the treasures that were hers in days of old. When her people fell into enemy hands she received no help. Her enemies looked upon her, laughing at her downfall.
8 ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮು ಘೋರ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವಳು ಅಶುದ್ಧಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಅವಳನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ, ಅವಳನ್ನು ಹೀನೈಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಅವಳ ಬೆತ್ತಲೆತನವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೌದು, ಅವಳು ನರಳುತ್ತಾ ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
Jerusalem has sinned greatly; therefore she has become an object of scorn. All who honored her now despise her, for they have seen her nakedness; she herself groans and turns away.
9 ಅವಳ ಅಶುದ್ಧವು ಅವಳ ನೆರಿಗೆಗೆ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವಳು ಭಯಂಕರವಾಗಿ ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದಳು. ಅವಳನ್ನು ಆದರಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. “ಓ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನನ್ನ ಸಂಕಟವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿರಿ, ಶತ್ರುವು ಜಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.”
Her uncleanness stains her skirts; she did not consider her end. Her downfall was astounding; there was no one to comfort her. Look, O LORD, on my affliction, for the enemy has triumphed!
10 ವೈರಿಯು ಆಕೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಚಾಚಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಬಾರದೆಂದು ನೀನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಇತರ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು, ತನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
The adversary has seized all her treasures. For she has seen the nations enter her sanctuary— those You had forbidden to enter Your assembly.
11 ಅವಳ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ನರಳಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, ಅವರು ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಗಳನ್ನು ವಿನಿಮಯ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನೋಡು, ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಿ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಭ್ರಷ್ಠಳಾದೆನು.”
All her people groan as they search for bread. They have traded their treasures for food to keep themselves alive. Look, O LORD, and consider, for I have become despised.
12 ಹಾದು ಹೋಗುವವರೇ, ಇದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ? ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿರಿ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಉಗ್ರಕೋಪದ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂಕಟ ಪಡಿಸಿದ ಇಂಥಾ ದುಃಖವು, ಯಾರಿಗಾದರೂ ಉಂಟೋ ನೋಡಿರಿ.
Is this nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look around and see! Is there any sorrow like mine, which was inflicted on me, which the LORD made me suffer on the day of His fierce anger?
13 ಆತನು ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆತನು ನನ್ನ ಪಾದದ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಂದು ಬಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೀಸಿ, ಆತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಳಾಗಿಯೂ, ಮೂರ್ಛೆ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆಯೂ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
He sent fire from on high, and it overpowered my bones. He spread a net for my feet and turned me back. He made me desolate, faint all the day long.
14 ನನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳು ನನಗೆ ನೊಗವಾಗಿ, ನನ್ನ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವು ಬಂದಿವೆ. ಕರ್ತದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕುಂದಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಕೈಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾನು ಎದುರಿಸಲಾರದಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
My transgressions are bound into a yoke, knit together by His hand; they are draped over my neck, and the Lord has broken my strength. He has delivered me into the hands of those I cannot withstand.
15 ಕರ್ತದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಶೂರರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿ, ನನ್ನ ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ಜಜ್ಜಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕರ್ತದೇವರು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಕನ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೊಟ್ಟಿಯಂತೆ ತುಳಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
The Lord has rejected all the mighty men in my midst; He has summoned an army against me to crush my young warriors. Like grapes in a winepress, the Lord has trampled the Virgin Daughter of Judah.
16 ಇವುಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಾನು ಅಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಕಣ್ಣಿನಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆದರಿಸುವವರೂ, ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಬದುಕಿಸುವ ಆದರಿಕರೂ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹಾಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುವು ಜಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
For these things I weep; my eyes flow with tears. For there is no one nearby to comfort me, no one to revive my soul. My children are destitute because the enemy has prevailed.
17 ಚೀಯೋನ್ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಚಾಚುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಅವಳನ್ನು ಆದರಿಸುವವನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಯಾಕೋಬಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಅವನ ವೈರಿಗಳು ಅವನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಇರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ್ ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶುದ್ಧ ವಸ್ತುವಿನಂತಿದೆ.
Zion stretches out her hands, but there is no one to comfort her. The LORD has decreed against Jacob that his neighbors become his foes. Jerusalem has become an unclean thing among them.
18 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನೀತಿವಂತನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರೇ ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿರಿ. ನನ್ನ ಕನ್ಯೆಯರೂ, ನನ್ನ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರೂ ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
The LORD is righteous, for I have rebelled against His command. Listen, all you people; look upon my suffering. My young men and maidens have gone into captivity.
19 ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯರನ್ನು ಕರೆದೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೋಸಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. ನನ್ನ ಯಾಜಕರು, ನನ್ನ ಹಿರಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತುಹೋದರು.
I called out to my lovers, but they have betrayed me. My priests and elders perished in the city while they searched for food to keep themselves alive.
20 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ ನೋಡು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಕಳವಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಘೋರವಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಹೊರಗೆ ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಸಂಹಾರ, ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಮರಣ.
See, O LORD, how distressed I am! I am churning within; my heart is pounding within me, for I have been most rebellious. Outside, the sword bereaves; inside, there is death.
21 ನಾನು ನರಳಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಕೇಳಿದರೂ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆದರಿಸಲು ಅಲ್ಲಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಕಷ್ಟದ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ನೀವು ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದಿರೆಂದು ಅವರು ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ನೀನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ಆ ದಿನವು ಬರಲು, ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಗುವರು.
People have heard my groaning, but there is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that You have caused it. May You bring the day You have announced, so that they may become like me.
22 ಅವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇರಲಿ. ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ, ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ನರಳಾಟವು ಅನೇಕವಾಗಿವೆ. ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಮೂರ್ಛೆಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.
Let all their wickedness come before You, and deal with them as You have dealt with me because of all my transgressions. For my groans are many, and my heart is faint.
