ಪ್ರಲಾಪಗಳು 4
1 ಬಂಗಾರವು ಹೇಗೆ ಮಸುಕಾಯಿತು! ಬಹಳ ಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಬಂಗಾರವು ಹೇಗೆ ಬದಲಾಯಿತು! ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧಸ್ಥಳದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳೂ ಬೀದಿಯ ಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚೆಲ್ಲಾಪಿಲ್ಲಿಯಾಗಿವೆ.
Oh how is the gold become dim! how is the most fine gold changed! how are the stones of the sanctuary poured out at the corners of every street.
2 ಅಪರಂಜಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನರಾದ ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರರು, ಈಗ ಕುಂಬಾರನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸದ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಮಡಕೆಯಂತೆ ತಿರಸ್ಕೃತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರಲ್ಲಾ!
The precious sons of Zion, valued equal to pure gold, how are they now esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!
3 ನರಿಗಳೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೆಚ್ಚಲನ್ನು ಹೊರ ಎಳೆದು ತಮ್ಮ ಮರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಲು ಕುಡಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಉಷ್ಟ್ರಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಕ್ರೂರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Even wild beasts offer the breast, they give suck to their young ones: the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.
4 ಹಸುಳೆಗಳ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ದಾಹದಿಂದ ಅಂಗಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹತ್ತುತ್ತದೆ. ಎಳೆಯ ಕೂಸುಗಳು ಅನ್ನ ಕೇಳುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಯಾರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
The tongue of the suckling cleaveth to its palate by reason of thirst: babes ask for bread, there is not one to break it for them.
5 ರುಚಿಯಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಒಮ್ಮೆ ತಿಂದವರು ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚಿಕ್ಕಂದಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ತೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು, ತಿಪ್ಪೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Those that used to eat dainty food are desolate in the streets: they that were reared up on scarlet now embrace dunghills.
6 ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ಅಕ್ರಮದ ದಂಡನೆಯು ಸೊದೋಮಿನ ಪಾಪದ ದಂಡನೆಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡದು. ಅದು ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಡವಿ ಹಾಕಲಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಲು ಯಾವ ಕೈಗಳೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
For greater is the iniquity of the daughter of my people than the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as it were in a moment, and no human hands were laid on her.
7 ಅವಳ ರಾಜಕುಮಾರರು ಹಿಮಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನವಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಲಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಮೈಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹವಳಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಕೆಂಪಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಹೊಳಪು ಇಂದ್ರನೀಲ ಮಣಿಯ ಹಾಗಿತ್ತು.
Her crowned princes were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more brilliant in body than pearls, more than the sapphire, their countenance:
8 ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅವರ ರೂಪವು ಕಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಲಿನಂತೆ ಕಪ್ಪಾಗಿದೆ. ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಯಾರೆಂಬುದು ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ಚರ್ಮವು ಅವರ ಎಲುಬುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಅದು ಒಣಗಿ ಕಡ್ಡಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಆಗಿದೆ.
Darker than black is now their visage; they are not to be recognized in the streets: their skin is shriveled fast upon their bones; it is dry, it is become like wood.
9 ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹತರಾದವರು ಹಸಿವೆಯಿಂದ ಹತರಾದವರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಲೇಸು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಇವರು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಫಲಗಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕ್ಷಾಮದ ಪೆಟ್ಟನ್ನು ತಿಂದು, ಕ್ಷಯಿಸಿ ಹೋದರು.
Happier are those slain by the sword than those slain by hunger; for those poured forth their blood, being pierced through, —[these perished] without the fruits of the field.
10 ಕನಿಕರ ತುಂಬಿದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರ ಕೈಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೇ ಬೇಯಿಸಿದವು. ಇವರು ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ನಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರವಾದರು.
The hands of merciful women cooked their own children: they became food unto them in the downfall of the daughter of my people.
11 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ರೋಷವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಉಗ್ರವಾದ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಸುರಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚೀಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊತ್ತಿಸಿದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಅದರ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು.
The Lord hath let loose all his fury: he hath poured out the fierceness of his anger: and he hath kindled a fire in Zion, which hath devoured her foundations.
12 ಭೂರಾಜರೂ, ವಿರೋಧಿಯೂ, ಶತ್ರುವೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೂ ನಂಬುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not believe that an adversary or an enemy could ever enter within the gates of Jerusalem.
13 ಅವಳ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ, ಅವಳ ಯಾಜಕರ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಹೀಗಾಯಿತು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇವರು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.
[But it hath happened] because of the sins of her prophets, the iniquities of her priests, that had shed in the midst of her the blood of the righteous.
14 ಅವರು ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕುರುಡರಂತೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ರಕ್ತದಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವೇ ಕಲುಷಿತಗೊಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಅವರ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಲಾರದೇ ಹೋದರು.
They wandered about blindly in the streets, they became defiled with blood; so that men were not able to touch their garments.
15 ಅವರು ಜನರಿಗೆ, ನೀವು ದೂರ ಹೋಗಿರಿ, ನೀವು ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ದೂರ ಹೋಗಿರಿ, ದೂರ ಹೋಗಿರಿ, ಮುಟ್ಟಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವರು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಅವರು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಎಂದು ಬೇರೆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
Depart, ye unclean, they called out unto them: depart, depart, touch not. So they flee away and also wander about: men say among the nations, They shall no more sojourn there.
16 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಚದುರಿಸಿತು. ಅವರು ಇನ್ನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ದಯೆ ತೋರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
The anger of the Lord hath divided them; he will no more look at them: the faces of the priests they respected not, and the elders they spared not.
17 ನಮಗಾದರೋ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದ ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿ ಸೋತು ಹೋದವು. ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಾರದಂಥ ಜನಾಂಗಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಾವಲಾಗಿದ್ದವು.
Even now our eyes anxiously wait for our valueless help: in our waiting have we waited for a nation that cannot help.
18 ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗದ ಹಾಗೆ, ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನೇ ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿತು, ನಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳು ತೀರಿದವು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಬಂದಿತು.
They hunt our steps, that we cannot walk in our streets: our end is near, our days are full: for our end is come.
19 ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವವರು ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾರುವ ಹದ್ದುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಪರ್ವತಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ, ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚು ಹಾಕಿದರು.
Swifter were our pursuers than the eagles of heaven: upon the mountains did they hotly follow us: in the wilderness did they lie in wait for us.
20 ಯಾರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಅವನ ನೆರಳಿನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಬದುಕುವೆವು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡೆವೋ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮೂಗಿನ ಉಸಿರಾದ ಆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನು ಅವರ ಬಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡನು.
The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the Lord, was caught in their pits, he, of whom we said, Under his shadow shall we live among the nations.
21 ಎದೋಮಿನ ಪುತ್ರಿಯೇ, ಊಚ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವವಳೇ, ಆನಂದಿಸು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡು; ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯು ಸಹ ದಾಟಿ ಬರುವುದು. ನೀನು ಕುಡಿದು, ಬೆತ್ತಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವೆ.
Be glad and rejoice, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of 'Uz: also unto thee shall the cup pass; thou wilt be drunken, and make thyself naked.
22 ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪುತ್ರಿಯೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಅಕ್ರಮದ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯು ತೀರಿ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಅವರು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಗಡಿಪಾರನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಎದೋಮಿನ ಪುತ್ರಿಯೇ, ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವನು. ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗಪಡಿಸುವರು.
Brought to an end is thy iniquity, O daughter of Zion; He will no more carry thee away into exile: He visiteth thy iniquity, O daughter of Edom; He layeth open thy sins.
