8 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಳತೆಯ ಗೆರೆಯನ್ನು ಎಳೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಹಿಂದೆಗೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ರಾಕಾರವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ಗೋಳಾಡುವಂತೆ ಆತನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವೆರಡೂ ಜೊತೆಯಾಗಿ ಕುಸಿದು ಹೋಗಿವೆ.

16 ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಯಿತೆರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. “ನಾವು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟೆವು. ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ದಿನವು ಇದೇ. ಅದನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ಕಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
