ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾಪಕರು 16
1 ಸಂಸೋನನು ಗಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಜಾರಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, ಅವಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
Then went Samson unto Gaza, —and saw there an unchaste woman, and went in unto her.
2 ಆಗ ಸಂಸೋನನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಗಾಜದವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು, ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೊಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು, “ಹೊತ್ತಾರೆ ಬೆಳಕಾದಾಗ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕುವೆವು,” ಎಂದರು.
And it was told the Gazites, saying—Samson hath come in hither. So they came round, and lay in wait for him, all the night, in the gate of the city, —but kept themselves quiet all the night, saying, Until the light of the morning, then will we slay him.
3 ಸಂಸೋನನು ಅರ್ಧ ರಾತ್ರಿಯವರೆಗೆ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದು, ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು, ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಾಗಿಲ ಕದಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅದರ ಎರಡು ತೋಳುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಿಡಿದು, ಅಗುಳಿ ಸಹ ಕಿತ್ತು, ತನ್ನ ಹೆಗಲ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ, ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿರುವ ಪರ್ವತದ ಶಿಖರದ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.
And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took hold of the doors of the gate of the city, and of the two doorposts, and tare them away, with the bar, and put them on his shoulders, —and carried them up to the top of the hill that faceth Hebron.
4 ಇದರ ತರುವಾಯ, ಸೊರೇಕ್ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ದೆಲೀಲ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡಿದನು.
And it came to pass, after this, that he loved a woman in the ravine of Shorek, whose, name, was Delilah.
5 ಅವಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಬಂದು ಅವಳಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮರಳುಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ನಾವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಗೆದ್ದು, ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ಬಾಧಿಸಬಹುದೆಂದೂ ಅವನ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಯಾವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ ಎಂದೂ ನೋಡು. ನಾವು ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬರು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಾವಿರದ ನೂರು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆವು,” ಎಂದರು.
So the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said to her—Entice him, and see wherein lieth his great strength, and wherewith we may prevail against him, and bind him, to humble him, —and, we, will give thee, every man, eleven hundred pieces of silver.
6 ಆಗ ದೆಲೀಲಳು ಸಂಸೋನನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಯಾವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಂಟೆಂದೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಬಹುದೆಂದೂ ನನಗೆ ದಯಮಾಡಿ ತಿಳಿಸು,” ಎಂದಳು.
So Delilah said unto Samson, Do tell me, I pray thee, wherein lieth thy great strength, —and wherewith thou mightest be bound, to humble thee.
7 ಸಂಸೋನನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ, “ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಒಣಗದೆ ಇರುವ ಹಸುರಾದ ಏಳು ನಾರಿನ ಬರಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಿದರೆ, ನಾನು ಬಲಹೀನನಾಗಿ ಬೇರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಂತಾಗುವೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.
And Samson said unto her, If they bind me with seven green cords, that have not been dried, then shall I become weak, and be as any other man.
8 ಆಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಒಣಗದೆ ಇರುವ ಹಸಿಯಾದ ಏಳು ನಾರಿನ ಬರಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂಧಿಸಿದಳು.
So the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven green cords, that had not been dried, —and she bound him therewith.
9 ಹೊಂಚುಗಾರರು ಅವಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಅವಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಸಂಸೋನನೇ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ,” ಎಂದಳು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಬೆಂಕಿ ತಗುಲಿದ ಸೆಣಬಿನ ದಾರ ಹರಿದು ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾರಿನ ಬರಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ರಹಸ್ಯ ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು.
Now, the liers in wait, were tarrying for her, in an inner chamber, —and she said unto him, —The Philistines, are upon thee, Samson! And he snapped the cords as a thread of tow is broken, when fire bloweth thereon, so his strength was not discovered.
10 ಆಗ ದೆಲೀಲಳು ಸಂಸೋನನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಂಚನೆಮಾಡಿ, ನನಗೆ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೇಳಿದೆ. ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾವುದರಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಬಹುದೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ದಯಮಾಡಿ ತಿಳಿಸು,” ಎಂದಳು.
And Delilah said unto Samson, Lo! thou hast been laughing at me, and speaking unto me falsehoods, —Now, do tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound.
11 ಸಂಸೋನನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ, “ಯಾವ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬಳಸದೆ ಇರುವ ಹೊಸ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದರೆ, ನಾನು ಬಲಹೀನನಾಗಿ, ಬೇರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಂತಾಗುವೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.
And he said unto her, If they, bind me fast, with new ropes, wherewith work was never done, then shall I become weak, and be as any other man.
12 ಆಗ ದೆಲೀಲಳು ಹೊಸ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಸಂಸೋನನೇ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದಳು. ಹೊಂಚುಗಾರರು ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತೋಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವವುಗಳನ್ನು ದಾರದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹರಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
So Delilah took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him—The Philistines, are upon thee, Samson! Now, the liers in wait, were tarrying in an inner chamber. And he snapped them off his arms like a thread.
13 ದೆಲೀಲಳು ಸಂಸೋನನಿಗೆ, “ಈವರೆಗೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಂಚನೆಮಾಡಿ, ನನಗೆ ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದೆ. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾವುದರಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಬಹುದೋ ತಿಳಿಸು,” ಎಂದಳು. ಅವನು ಅವಳಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಏಳು ಜಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನೇಯ್ದರೆ ಆಗುವುದು,” ಎಂದನು.
And Delilah said unto Samson—Hitherto, hast thou been laughing at me, and speaking unto me falsehoods, do tell me, wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weave the seven braids of my head with the warp.
14 ಸಂಸೋನನು ಮಲಗಿರುವಾಗ ದೆಲೀಲಳು ಅವನ ತಲೆಗೂದಲಿನ ಏಳು ಜಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಗ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಗೂಟದಿಂದ ಭದ್ರಮಾಡಿ, ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಸಂಸೋನನೇ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದಳು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ನಿದ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಎಚ್ಚತ್ತು ಎದ್ದು, ಮಗ್ಗದ ಗೂಟವನ್ನೂ ಮಗ್ಗವನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದನು.
So she beat them up with the pin, and said unto him, The Philistines, are upon thee, Samson! And he awaked out of his sleep, and pulled out the pin of the loom, and the warp.
15 ಅವಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವಾಗ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀ? ನೀನು ಈ ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ನನಗೆ ವಂಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ರಹಸ್ಯ ಯಾವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಂಟೋ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದಳು.
And she said unto him—How canst thou say, I love thee, when, thy heart, is not with me? These three times, hast thou laughed at me, and hast not told me wherein lieth thy great strength.
16 ಅವಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ದಿನದಿನವೂ ತನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಪೀಡಿಸಿ, ತೊಂದರೆ ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಸಾಯುವಷ್ಟು ವ್ಯಸನಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
And it came to pass, when she urged him with her words continually, and pressed him, that his soul became impatient, unto death;
17 ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ, ಅವಳಿಗೆ, “ಕ್ಷೌರದ ಕತ್ತಿ ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿಂದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತನಾದ ನಾಜೀರನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೋಳಿಸಿದರೆ, ನನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವುದು; ನಾನು ಬಲಹೀನನಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.
so he told her all his heart, and said to her—No, razor, hath come on my head, for, one separate unto God, have I been, from my birth, —if I were shaven, then would depart from me my strength, and I should become weak, and be as any other man.
18 ಆಗ ದೆಲೀಲಳು, ಅವನು ತನಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಕಂಡು, ಅವಳು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಈ ಸಾರಿ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು,” ಎಂದು ಕರೆಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಳು. ಆಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಅವಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹಣವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು.
And, when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying—Come up this once, for he hath told me all his heart. And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought up the silver in their hand.
19 ಅವಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತೊಡೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಏಳು ಜಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೋಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ದುರ್ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿದಳು. ಆಗ ಅವನ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಯಿತು.
And she made him sleep upon her knees, and called for a man, and caused him to shave off the seven braids of his head, —and she began to humble him, and his strength departed from him.
20 ಅವಳು, “ಸಂಸೋನನೇ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದಳು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ನಿದ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಎಚ್ಚತ್ತು, “ಮೊದಲಿನಂತೆಯೇ ನಾನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುವೆನು,” ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡನು. ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಅವನು ಅರಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And she said—The Philistines, are upon thee, Samson! And he awoke out of his sleep, and said—I will go out now, as time after time, and shake myself free: he, not knowing, that, Yahweh, had departed from him.
21 ಆದರೆ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು, ಅವನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಗಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಒಯ್ದು ಎರಡು ಕಂಚಿನ ಸಂಕೋಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದರು. ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬೀಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿದರು.
And the Philistines seized him, and put out his eyes, —and took him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of bronze, and it came to pass that he used to grind in the prison.
22 ಆದರೆ ಕ್ಷೌರ ಮಾಡಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಕೂದಲು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿತು.
And the hair of his head began to grow, after he had been shaven.
23 ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ದಾಗೋನನಿಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದರು. “ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುವಾದ ಸಂಸೋನನನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.
Now, the lords of the Philistines, had gathered themselves together to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice, —and they said, Our god hath delivered into our hand, Samson our enemy.
24 ಜನರು ಸಂಸೋನನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಿದರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, “ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡಿ, ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಯನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.
And, when the people saw him, they praised their god, —for they said—Our god hath delivered into our hand our enemy, even him who laid waste our land, and who multiplied our slain.
25 ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಸಂಭ್ರಮವಾಗಿರುವಾಗ, “ನಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಮನೋರಂಜನೆಗಾಗಿ ಸಂಸೋನನನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು. ಅವರು ಸಂಸೋನನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಕರೆತಂದಾಗ, ಅವನು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ವಿನೋದ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
And it came to pass, when their heart was merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make sport for us. So they called for Samson out of the prison, and he made sport before them, and they stationed him between the pillars.
26 ಆದರೆ ಸಂಸೋನನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಹಿಡಿದ ಹುಡುಗನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ಕಟ್ಟಡದ ಆಧಾರ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿಸಿ, ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡು,” ಎಂದನು.
And Samson said unto the youth that held him by his hand, Place me where I may feel the pillars whereon the house resteth, that I may lean upon them.
27 ಆ ಮನೆಯು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಪುರುಷರಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಇದ್ದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಂಸೋನನು ವಿನೋದ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಳಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮೂರು ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಪುರುಷರಿದ್ದರು.
Now, the house, was full of men and women, there, also were all the lords of the Philistines, —and, on the roof, were about three thousand men and women, looking on while Samson made sport.
28 ಆಗ ಸಂಸೋನನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೂಗಿ, “ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಎರಡು ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಒಂದೇ ಸಾರಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಈ ಸಾರಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೆನಸಿ ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿ ದೇವರೇ,”
So then Samson cried unto Yahweh, and said, —My Lord Yahweh! remember me, I pray thee, —and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be avenged, with one avenging, for my two eyes, upon the Philistines.
29 ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಸಂಸೋನನು ಆ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಧಾರವಾದ ಎರಡು ನಡುವಿನ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ಒಂದನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಬಲಗೈಯಿಂದ ಮತ್ತೊಂದನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಎಡಗೈಯಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು,
Then did Samson grasp the two middle pillars, whereon the house rested, and whereon it was upheld, and he braced himself against them, —the one with his right hand, and the other with his left.
30 “ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಾಯಲಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ತನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿದ್ದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೂ ಬಾಗಿದನು. ಆಗ ಮನೆಯು ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಬಿತ್ತು. ಹೀಗೆ ಸಂಸೋನನು ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಾಗ ಕೊಂದ ಜನರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಮರಣಹೊಂದುವಾಗ ಕೊಂದ ಜನರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿತ್ತು.
And Samson said—Let my soul die with the Philistines! And he bowed mightily, and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead, whom he slew at his death, were more than they whom he slew in his life.
31 ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರೂ, ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು, ಚೊರ್ಗಕ್ಕೂ, ಎಷ್ಟಾವೋಲಿಗೂ ನಡುವೆ ಅವನ ತಂದೆ ಮಾನೋಹನ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೂಳಿಟ್ಟರು. ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿದನು.
Then came down his brethren, and all the house of his father, and lifted him, and carried him up, and buried him, between Zorah and Eshtaol, in the buryingplace of Manoah his father, —he, having judged Israel twenty years.
