ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು 17

1 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಗೋತ್ರಕ್ಕೂ ಭಾಗ ದೊರೆಯಿತು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಮಗನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಹಿರಿಯ ಮಗ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಮಾಕೀರನು ಶೂರನಾದುದರಿಂದ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್, ಬಾಷಾನ್ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳು ಅವನ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದವು.

And the lot for the tribe of Manasseh was, for, he, was the firstborn of Joseph, —as for Machir, the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead, because, he, was a man of war, therefore had he Gilead and Bashan.

2 ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಉಳಿದವರಿಗೆ ಅಬೀಯೆಜೆರನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಹೇಲೆಕ್‌ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಅಸ್ರೀಯೇಲನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಶೆಕೆಮ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಹೇಫೆರನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಶೆಮೀದಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಸೊತ್ತು ದೊರೆಯಿತು. ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಮಗನಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಗಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದವರು.

So the lot pertained to the rest of the sons of Manasseh, by their families, to the sons of Abiezer, and to the sons of Helek, and to the sons of Asriel, and to the sons of Shechem, and to the sons of Hepher, and to the sons of Shemida, —these, were the sons of Manasseh, son of Joseph, even the male descendants, by their families.

3 ಆದರೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಗೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಮಾಕೀರನ ಮರಿಮಗನೂ, ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನೂ, ಹೇಫೆರನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಚಲ್ಪಹಾದನಿಗೆ ಪುತ್ರರಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಮಹ್ಲಾ, ನೋವಾ, ಹೊಗ್ಲಾ, ಮಿಲ್ಕಾ, ತಿರ್ಚಾ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಪುತ್ರಿಯರು ಇದ್ದರು.

But, Zelophehad, son of Hepher, son of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, had no sons, but only daughters, —and, these, are the names of his daughters, Mahlah and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

4 ಇವರು ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಲಿಯಾಜರನ ಬಳಿಗೂ ನೂನನ ಮಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನರುಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಬಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೂ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದರು,” ಎಂದರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ತಂದೆಗಳ ಸಹೋದರರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

And they had come near, before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, Yahweh, commanded Moses, to give us an inheritance in the midst of our brethren, —And he had given them, according to the bidding of Yahweh, an inheritance, in the midst of the brethren of their father.

5 ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್, ಬಾಷಾನ್ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಚೀಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹತ್ತು ಪಾಲು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದವು.

Thus there fell ten portions to Manasseh, —besides the land of Gilead, and Bashan, which is beyond the Jordan;

6 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಪುತ್ರಿಯರು ಸಹ ಅವನ ಪುತ್ರರಲ್ಲಿ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಉಳಿದ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಪುತ್ರರಿಗೆ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ ನಾಡು ದೊರೆಯಿತು.

because, the daughters of Manasseh, received an inheritance in the midst of his sons, —and, the land of Gilead, became the possession of the sons of Manasseh that remained.

7 ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಮೇರೆ, ಆಶೇರಿನಿಂದ ಶೆಕೆಮಿನ ಮುಂದಿರುವ ಮಿಕ್ಮೆತಾತಿನವರೆಗೂ ಇತ್ತು. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕಡೆಯಿರುವ ಎನ್ ತಪ್ಪೂಹದ ನಿವಾಸಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ.

So then the boundary of Manasseh was from Asher, Michmethath, which faceth Shechem, —and the boundary goeth along unto the right hand, unto the inhabitants of En-tappuah.

8 ತಪ್ಪೂಹದ ಭೂಮಿ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯದಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಮೇರೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತಪ್ಪೂಹ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮನ ಮಕ್ಕಳದ್ದಾಗಿತ್ತು.

Manasseh, had the land of Tappuah, —but, Tappuah itself, towards the boundary of Manasseh, pertained unto the sons of Ephraim;

9 ಮೇರೆ ಕಾನಾ ನದಿಯ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕ್ಕೆ ನದಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಇಳಿದುಹೋಗುವುದು. ಅಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮನದಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಮೇರೆಯು ನದಿಯ ಉತ್ತರಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಮೆಡಿಟೆರೆನಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದ್ರದವರೆಗೂ ಹೋಗಿರುವುದು.

and the boundary goeth down to the ravine of Kanah, southward of the ravine, these cities, belong to Ephraim, in the midst of the cities of Manasseh, —but, the boundary of Manasseh, was on the north side of the ravine, and the extensions thereof were to the sea;

10 ನದಿಯ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಸೀಮೆ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮನದು; ಉತ್ತರ ಸೀಮೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯದು, ಮೆಡಿಟೆರೆನಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಅದರ ಮೇರೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು. ಉತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವ ಆಶೇರ್ ಗೋತ್ರದವರ ಪ್ರಾಂತವೂ ಪೂರ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವ ಇಸ್ಸಾಕಾರ್ ಗೋತ್ರವೂ ಇರುವುದು.

southward, pertaineth to Ephraim, and, northward, to Manasseh, and the sea was the boundary thereof, —and they touch, Asher, on the north, and Issachar on the east.

11 ಇಸ್ಸಾಕಾರನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಆಶೇರನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ಸೀಮೆಗಳಾದ ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಯಾನ, ಅದರ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳೂ ಇಬ್ಲೆಯಾಮ್ ಅದರ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳೂ ದೋರ್ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳೂ ಎಂದೋರ್, ತಾನಕ್, ಮೆಗಿದ್ದೋ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳೂ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದವು. ಮೂರನೆಯ ಊರು ನಾಫೋತ್ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

And Manasseh had—in Issachar and in Asher—Bethshean and her towns, and Ibleam and her towns, and the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of En-dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and her towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo, and her towns—the three heights,

12 ಆದರೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಸಂತತಿಯರಿಗೆ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಾದ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರು ಆ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

The sons of Manasseh, however, could not dispossess these cities, —but the Canaanites were determined to remain in this land;

13 ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಬಲಗೊಂಡಾಗ, ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸದೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಜೀತದಾಳುಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.

but, when the sons of Israel had waxed strong, they put the Canaanites under tribute, —though they, dispossessed, them not.

14 ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಸಂತತಿಯರು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೆ, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಈವರೆಗೂ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನಾವು ಮಹಾ ಜನಾಂಗವಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಹೀಗಿರುವಾಗ ನೀವು ನಮಗೆ ಸೊತ್ತಾಗಿ ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಪಾಲನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು ಏಕೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.

Then spake the sons of Joseph unto Joshua, saying, —Why hast thou given me, as an inheritance, but one lot and one portion, seeing that, I, am a numerous people, because hitherto hath Yahweh blessed me.

15 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮಗೆ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ ಪರ್ವತವು ಸಾಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನೀವು ಪೆರಿಜೀಯರ ಮತ್ತು ರೆಫಾಯರ ನಾಡುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಕಾಡನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು.

And Joshua said unto them: If, a numerous people, thou art, get thee up to the forest, and cut down for thyself there, in the land of the Perizzites and of the Rephaim, —seeing that, too narrow for thee, is the hill country of Ephraim.

16 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಸಂತತಿಯರು, “ಆ ಪರ್ವತವು ನಮಗೆ ಸಾಲದು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ತಗ್ಗಿನ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಯಾನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲ್ ಕಣಿವೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಾಸಿಸಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ರಥಗಳು ಇವೆ,” ಎಂದರು.

And the sons of Joseph said, The hill country is not enough for us, —and there are, chariots of iron, among all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley, belonging both to them in Bethshean, and her towns, and to them in the valley of Jezreel.

17 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮನಿಗೂ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಗೂ, “ನೀವು ಮಹಾಜನಾಂಗವೂ ಬಹು ಬಲವುಳ್ಳವರೂ ಆಗಿರುವಿರಿ. ಒಂದೇ ಭಾಗ ನಿಮಗೆ ಇರಬಾರದು. ಆದರೆ ಪರ್ವತವು ನಿಮ್ಮದಾಗಿರುವುದು.

And Joshua made answer unto the house of Joseph, to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, —A numerous people, thou art, and, great vigour, thou hast, thou shalt not have one lot only;

18 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದು ಅಡವಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕಡಿಯಬೇಕು. ಅದರ ಅಂತ್ಯಗಳವರೆಗೂ ನಿಮ್ಮದಾಗಿರುವುದು. ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ರಥಗಳಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನೀವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಡಲು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯ,” ಎಂದನು.

for, the hill country, shall be thine, in that, a forest, it is, therefore canst thou cut it down, and thine shall be the extensions thereof, —for thou shalt dispossess the Canaanites, though, chariots of iron, they have, and though, strong, they are.
