ಯೋಹಾನನು 7
1 ಇವುಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೇಸು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದ ಪ್ರಾಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಯೂದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಲು ಅವರು ಇಷ್ಟಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And, after these things, Jesus was walking in Galilee; for he was not wishing, in Judaea, to be walking, because the Jews were seeking to slay him.
2 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಗುಡಾರಗಳ ಹಬ್ಬವು ಹತ್ತಿರವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
But the feast of the Jews was near, that of the pitching of tents.
3 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಸಹೋದರರು, “ನೀನು ಮಾಡುವ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಸಹ ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಯೂದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗು.
His brethren, therefore, said unto him—Remove hence, and withdraw into Judaea, that, thy disciples also, may view thy works which thou art doing.
4 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತನಾಗಲು ಬಯಸುವ ಯಾರೂ ರಹಸ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಯಾವುದನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನೀನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಾದರೆ, ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಿಕೋ,” ಎಂದು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
For, no one, anything in secret, doeth, and yet is seeking, himself, to be well-known. If, these things, thou art doing, manifest thyself unto the world.
5 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಸಹೋದರರು ಸಹ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಂಬಲಿಲ್ಲ.
For, not even his brethren, were believing on him.
6 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಸಮಯವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಬಂದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಮಯವು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ.
Jesus, therefore, saith unto them—My season, not yet, is here; but, your season, at anytime, is ready:
7 ಲೋಕವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸಲಾರದು. ಲೋಕದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು ಕೆಟ್ಟವುಗಳಾಗಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಅದರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳುವುದರಿಂದ, ಅದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
The world cannot hate you; but, me, it hateth, because, I, bear witness concerning it, that, the works thereof, are, wicked.
8 ನೀವು ಈ ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ. ನಾನು ಈ ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಮಯವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು.
Ye, go up unto the feast: I, not yet, am coming up unto this feast, because, my season, not yet, hath fully come.
9 ಯೇಸು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಲಿಲಾಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಉಳಿದರು.
And, these things, having said unto them, he was still abiding in Galilee.
10 ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಸಹೋದರರು ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು. ಯೇಸು ಸಹ ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗದೆ ರಹಸ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು.
But, when his brethren had gone up unto the feast, then, he also, went up, —not openly, but as it were in secret.
11 ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಆ ಹಬ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ, “ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ?” ಎಂದು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
The Jews, therefore, were seeking him in the feast, and were saying—Where is that one?
12 ಜನರ ಗುಂಪುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಬಹಳ ಗೊಣಗುಟ್ಟುವಿಕೆ ಇತ್ತು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಕೆಲವರು, “ಆತ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮನುಷ್ಯ,” ಎಂದರು. ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವರು, “ಇಲ್ಲ ಆತ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮೋಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
and there was great, murmuring, about him among the multitudes: some, indeed, were saying—Good, is he! [but], others, were saying—Not so! but he is leading the multitude astray.
13 ಆದರೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಭಯದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
No one, nevertheless, was speaking, openly, about him, because of their fear of the Jews.
14 ಯೇಸು ಆ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು.
Presently, however, the feast being at its height, Jesus went up unto the temple and was teaching.
15 ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು, “ಏನನ್ನೂ ಕಲಿಯದಿರುವ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಜ್ಞಾನ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?” ಎಂದರು.
The Jews, therefore, began to marvel, saying—How, doth this one know, letters, not having learned?
16 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಬೋಧನೆಯು ನನ್ನದಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ತಂದೆಯದೇ ಆಗಿದೆ.
Jesus, therefore, answered them, and said—My teaching, is not mine, but his who sent me.
17 ಯಾರಾದರೂ ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಯಸುವುದಾದರೆ ಈ ಬೋಧನೆಯು ದೇವರದೋ ಅಥವಾ ನನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೇ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತೇನೋ ಎಂಬುದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವುದು.
If any one intend, his will, to do, he shall get to know concerning the teaching—whether it is, of God, or, I, from myself, am speaking,
18 ತಮ್ಮಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಾವೇ ಮಾತನಾಡುವವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ತಂದೆಯ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸತ್ಯವಂತನು; ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೀತಿಯಿಲ್ಲ.
He that, from himself, doth speak, his own glory, is seeking: he that seeketh the glory of him that sent him, the same, is, true, and, injustice, in him, is there none.
19 ಮೋಶೆಯು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ಆದರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಆ ನಿಯಮದಂತೆ ನಡೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲು ಹುಡುಕುವುದೇಕೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
Did not, Moses, give you the law? And yet, not one of you, doeth the law!—Why, seek ye, to slay, me?
20 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಜನರು, “ನಿನಗೆ ದೆವ್ವ ಹಿಡಿದಿದೆ. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹುಡುಕುವವರು ಯಾರು?” ಎಂದರು.
The multitude answered—A demon, thou hast: Who, is seeking, to slay, thee?
21 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಒಂದು ಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದೆನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಆಶ್ವರ್ಯಪಡುತ್ತೀರಿ.
Jesus answered, and said unto them—One work, I did, and ye, all, are marvelling:
22 ಮೋಶೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿಯನ್ನು ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಅದು ಮೋಶೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿರದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಂದಾದದ್ದು. ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ.
For this cause, Moses, hath given you, circumcision, —not that, of Moses, it is, but of the fathers; —and, on Sabbath, ye circumcise a man.
23 ಮೋಶೆಯ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲಂಘಿಸದೆ ನೀವು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಾದರೆ ನಾನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀವು ಏಕೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀರಿ?
If, circumcision, a man receiveth, on Sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken, with me, are ye bitter as gall, because, a whole man, I made, well, on Sabbath?
24 ತೋರಿಕೆಗೆ ಅನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿಯ ತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
Be not judging according to appearance, but, just judgment, be judging,
25 ಆಮೇಲೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಕೆಲವರು, “ಅವರು ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹುಡುಕುವುದು ಈತನನ್ನೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?
So then, some of them of Jerusalem were saying—Is not, this, he whom they are seeking to kill?
26 ಇಗೋ, ಈತನು ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಈತನಿಗೆ ಏನೂ ಹೇಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಬಹುಶಃ ಈತನೇ ನಿಜವಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಎಂದು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೋ?
And yet, see! with freedom of speech, he is talking, and, nothing, unto him, do they say: —Have the rulers perhaps come to know, of a truth, that, this, is, the Christ?
27 ಆದರೆ ಈತನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದವನೆಂದು ನಾವು ಬಲ್ಲೆವು. ಆದರೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಬಂದಾಗ ಆತನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದವನೆಂದು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿಯದು,” ಎಂದರು.
But, as for this one, we know whence he is; The Christ, however, whensoever he shall come, no one, getteth to know whence he is.
28 ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಯೇಸು, “ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲಿರಿ, ನಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದವನೆಂದೂ ನೀವು ಬಲ್ಲಿರಿ. ನಾನು ನನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೇ ಬಂದವನಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ತಂದೆಯು ಸತ್ಯವಂತರು. ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ಅರಿತವರಲ್ಲ.
Jesus, therefore, cried aloud in the temple, teaching, and saying—Both me, ye know, and ye know whence I am, —and yet, of myself, have I not come, but he is real, who sent me, whom, ye, know not.
29 ನಾನಾದರೋ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅರಿತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವರ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಬಂದವನು. ಅವರೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
I, know him, because, from him, I am, and, he, sent me forth.
30 ಆಗ ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಸಮಯ ಇನ್ನೂ ಬಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾರೂ ಕೈಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.
They were seeking therefore to seize him; and yet no one laid on him his hand, because, not yet, had come his hour.
31 ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ, “ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಬಂದಾಗ ಈತನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವನೋ?” ಎಂದರು.
But, from amongst the multitude, many, believed on him, and were saying—The Christ, whensoever he cometh, greater signs, will he do, than those which, this one, did?
32 ಯೇಸುವಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಲು ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.
The Pharisees hearkened unto the multitude murmuring concerning him these things; and the High-priests and the Pharisees sent forth officers, that they might seize him.
33 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಾಲ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದು ಅನಂತರ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ.
Jesus, therefore, said—Yet a little time, I am, with you, and withdraw unto him that sent me:
34 ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವಿರಿ. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ನಾನಿರುವಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಬರಲಾರಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
Ye shall seek me, and not find me, and, where, I, am, ye, cannot come.
35 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೂದಿ ನಾಯಕರು, “ನಾವು ಈತನನ್ನು ಕಾಣದ ಹಾಗೆ ಈತ ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ? ಗ್ರೀಕರ ನಡುವೆ ಚದರಿ ಹೋದವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಗ್ರೀಕರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುವನೋ?
The Jews, therefore, said unto themselves—Whither, is, this one, about to go, that we shall not find him? Unto the dispersion of the Greeks, is he about to go, and teach the Greeks?
36 ಈತನು, ‘ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವಿರಿ, ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನಿರುವಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಬರಲಾರಿರಿ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತು ಏನಾಗಿರಬಹುದು?” ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
What, is this which he said: Ye shall seek me and not find me, and, where, I, am, ye, cannot come?
37 ಹಬ್ಬದ ಆ ಮಹಾದಿವಸವಾದ ಕಡೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸು ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು, “ಯಾರಿಗಾದರೂ ಬಾಯಾರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಕುಡಿಯಲಿ.
Now, on the last—the great—day of the feast, Jesus was standing, and he cried aloud, saying—If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink:
38 ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದವು ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡುವವರ ಅಂತರಂಗದಿಂದ ಜೀವಜಲದ ಹೊಳೆಗಳು ಹರಿಯುವವು,” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
He that believeth on me—just as said the Scripture, —River, from within him, shall flow, of living water.
39 ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡುವವರು ಹೊಂದಲಿರುವ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮರನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಯೇಸು ಇನ್ನೂ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಹೊಂದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಆತ್ಮ ಇನ್ನೂ ಬಂದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Now, this, spake he concerning the Spirit which they who believed on him were about to receive; for, not yet, was there Spirit, because, Jesus, not yet, was glorified!
40 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ಈತನು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
Some from amongst the multitude, therefore, having hearkened unto these words, were saying—This, is, in truth, the prophet.
41 ಬೇರೆಯವರು, “ಈತನೇ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು,” ಎಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವರು, “ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದಿಂದ ಬರುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?
Others, were saying—This, is, the Christ. But, others, were saying—Out of Galilee, is, the Christ, to come?
42 ‘ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂತಾನದಿಂದಲೂ ದಾವೀದನಿದ್ದ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮೆಂಬ ಊರಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಬರುವನು,’ ಎಂದು ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದವು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದಲ್ಲವೇ?” ಎಂದರು.
Hath not the Scripture said: Of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was, cometh the Christ?
43 ಹೀಗೆ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಭೇದ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು.
A division, therefore, arose in the multitude, because of him.
44 ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Certain, indeed, from among them, were wishing to seize him; but, no one, thrust upon him his hands.
45 ಬಳಿಕ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರು, ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರ ಹಾಗೂ ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರು, “ನೀವು ಏಕೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ತರಲಿಲ್ಲ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
So then the officers came unto the High-priests and Pharisees, and, they, said unto them—For what cause, have ye not brought him?
46 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರು, “ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ ಎಂದೂ ಈತನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು.
The officers answered—Never, man spake thus!
47 ಆಗ ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಸಹ ಮರುಳಾದೀರಾ?
The Pharisees, therefore, answered them—Surely, ye also, have not been led astray?
48 ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಫರಿಸಾಯರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದ್ದುಂಟೇ?
Surely, none of the rulers, hath believed in him, nor of the Pharisees?
49 ಆದರೆ ಮೋಶೆಯ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ಅರಿಯದ ಈ ಜನರು ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತರೇ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
But, this multitude, that take no note of the law, are, laid under a curse.
50 ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ನಿಕೊದೇಮನು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ,
Nicodemus saith unto them—he that came unto him formerly, being, one, from among them—
51 “ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿ, ಅವನು ಮಾಡುವುದೇನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ನಿಯಮವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುವುದುಂಟೇ?” ಎಂದನು.
Surely, our law, doth not judge the man, unless it hear first from him, and get to know what he is doing?
52 ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಸಹ ಗಲಿಲಾಯದವನೋ? ಗಲಿಲಾಯದಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೂ ಏಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನೀನೇ ಪರಿಶೋಧಿಸಿ ನೋಡು,” ಎಂದರು.
They answered and said unto him—Surely, thou also, art not, of Galilee? Search and see! That, out of Galilee, a prophet is not to arise.
53 ಬಳಿಕ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋದರು.
And they went, each unto his own house;
