ಯೋಹಾನನು 15
1 “ನಾನೇ ನಿಜವಾದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಬಳ್ಳಿ, ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೇ ತೋಟಗಾರರು.
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.
2 ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕವಲುಬಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ತಂದೆ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಎತ್ತಿಡುವರು. ಆದರೆ ಫಲಕೊಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕವಲುಬಳ್ಳಿಯು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಫಲಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ ಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will bear more fruit.
3 ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯದ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ನೀವು ಈಗ ಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
You have already been pruned by the word I have spoken to you.
4 ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಹಾಗೇ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರಿ. ಕವಲುಬಳ್ಳಿಯು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಬಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರದಿದ್ದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಾನೇ ಫಲ ಕೊಡಲಾರದೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೀವೂ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರದಿದ್ದರೆ ಫಲಕೊಡಲಾರಿರಿ.
Abide in me, and I will abide in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in me.
5 “ನಾನೇ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಬಳ್ಳಿ, ನೀವು ಕವಲುಬಳ್ಳಿಗಳು. ನೀವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀವು ಬಹಳ ಫಲಕೊಡುವಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಏನೂ ಮಾಡಲಾರಿರಿ.
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.
6 ನೀವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರದಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀವು ಎಸೆಯಲಾದ ಕವಲುಬಳ್ಳಿಯಂತೆ ಒಣಗಿ ಹೋಗುವಿರಿ. ಜನರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಹಾಕುವರು ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕಲಾಗುವುದು.
If anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown out like a branch and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned.
7 ನೀವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀವು ಬಯಸುವ ಯಾವುದನ್ನಾದರೂ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಅದು ನಿಮ್ಮದಾಗುವುದು.
If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
8 ನೀವು ಬಹಳ ಫಲಕೊಡುವುದರಿಂದಲೇ ನನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಾಗಿರುವಿರಿ, ಇದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಮಹಿಮೆಯಾಗುವುದು.
My Father is glorified when you bear much fruit, and by doing so you will be my disciples.
9 “ತಂದೆಯು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಈಗ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರಿ.
Just as the Father has loved me, so have I loved you; abide in my love.
10 ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವಂತೆಯೇ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸಿ ನಡೆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.
If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
11 ನನ್ನ ಆನಂದವು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವಂತೆಯೂ ಆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆನಂದವು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗುವಂತೆಯೂ ನಾನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
I have told you these things so that my joy may abide in you, and so that your joy may be full.
12 ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೀವು ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬುದು ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
“This is my commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.
13 ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಗಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೇ ಕೊಡುವ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗಿಂತ ಮಹತ್ತಾದದ್ದು ಯಾರಲ್ಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
No one has greater love than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
14 ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸಿದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು.
You are my friends if you do whatever I command you.
15 ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಳುಗಳೆಂದು ಕರೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಧಣಿಯು ಮಾಡುವಂಥದ್ದು ಆಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೆಂದು ಕರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
No longer do I call you servants, because a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I heard from my Father.
16 ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾನೇ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ ಫಲಕೊಡುವಂತೆಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಫಲವು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರುವಂತೆಯೂ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಅವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವರು.
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask of the Father in my name he will give you.
17 ನೀವು ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬುದೇ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
I am giving you these commands so that you may love one another.
18 “ಲೋಕವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸಿದರೆ ನಿಮಗಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಅದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸಿತು ಎಂದು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿಯಿರಿ.
“If the world hates you, know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 ನೀವು ಲೋಕದವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಲೋಕವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಲೋಕದವರಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದಲೂ ನಾನು ಲೋಕದೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಲೋಕವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, the world hates you.
20 ‘ಧಣಿಗಿಂತ ಆಳು ದೊಡ್ಡವನಲ್ಲ,’ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ತಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸಿದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಹ ಹಿಂಸೆಪಡಿಸುವರು. ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಸಹ ಅನುಸರಿಸುವರು.
Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they kept my word, they will keep yours also.
21 ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯದಿರುವುದರಿಂದಲೇ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡುವರು.
But they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.
22 ನಾನು ಬಂದು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪಾಪವು ಇರುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅವರ ಪಾಪದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೆಪವಿಲ್ಲ.
If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23 ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವವರು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Whoever hates me hates my Father also.
24 ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಮಾಡದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಅವರ ನಡುವೆ ಮಾಡದೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪಾಪವು ಇರುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನೂ ದ್ವೇಷಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
If I had not done among them the works that no one else had done, they would have no sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 ಆದರೆ, ‘ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿಷ್ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿ ದ್ವೇಷಮಾಡಿದರು,’ ಎಂದು ಅವರ ನಿಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಮಾತು ನೆರವೇರುವಂತೆ ಹೀಗಾಯಿತು.
But this has happened to fulfill what is written in their law: ‘They hated me for no reason.’
26 “ಆದರೂ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಡುವ ಆ ಸಹಾಯಕರೊಬ್ಬರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವರು. ಆಗ ತಂದೆಯಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಆ ಸತ್ಯದ ಆತ್ಮವಾಗಿರುವವರೇ ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಡುವರು.
“When the Helper comes, whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.
27 ನೀವು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭದಿಂದಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಸಹ ನನಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
You must also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.
