ಯೋಹಾನನು 12
1 ಪಸ್ಕಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಆರು ದಿನಗಳ ಮುಂಚೆ ಯೇಸು ಬೇಥಾನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಯೇಸು ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ಲಾಜರನು ಇದ್ದನು.
Then six days before the Passover, Yeshua came to Beth-Naiya, where Leayzar was, whom Yeshua raised from the dead.
2 ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವಿಗಾಗಿ ಔತಣವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಮಾರ್ಥಳು ಬಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು. ಯೇಸುವಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಳಿತವರಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಜರನೂ ಒಬ್ಬನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
So they prepared a dinner for him there; and Marta served, but Leayzar was one of those reclining at the table with him.
3 ಆಗ ಮರಿಯಳು ಬಹು ಬೆಲೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಅಚ್ಚ ಜಟಾಮಾಂಸಿ ಮೂಲಿಕೆಯ ತೈಲವನ್ನು ಸುಮಾರು ಅರ್ಧ ಲೀಟರಿನಷ್ಟು ತಂದು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಪಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಸುರಿದು ತನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಕೂದಲಿನಿಂದ ಅವರ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಒರೆಸಿದಳು. ಆ ತೈಲದ ಪರಿಮಳವು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡಿತು.
Maryam, therefore, took a pound of ointment of pure nard, very precious, and anointed the feet of Yeshua, and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.
4 ಆಗ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದ ಯೂದ ಇಸ್ಕರಿಯೋತನು,
Then Yehudah Sekariuta, one of his disciples, who would betray him, said,
5 “ಈ ತೈಲವನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾರಿ ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ?” ಎಂದನು.
"Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii, and given to the poor?"
6 ಅವನು ಬಡವರ ಹಿತಚಿಂತನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಕಳ್ಳನಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಹಣದ ಚೀಲವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕದ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Now he said this, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the money box, used to steal what was put into it.
7 ಆಗ ಯೇಸು, “ಮರಿಯಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಿರಿ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಡುವ ದಿವಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಈಕೆಯು ಇದನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ.
But Yeshua said, "Leave her alone, that she may keep this for the day of my burial.
8 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಬಡವರು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದರು.
For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me."
9 ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗುಂಪು ತಿಳಿದು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಯೇಸು ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ಲಾಜರನನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣಲು ಬಂದಿದ್ದರು.
A large crowd therefore of the Yehudeans learned that he was there, and they came, not for Yeshua's sake only, but that they might see Leayzar also, whom he had raised from the dead.
10 ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರು ಲಾಜರನನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿದರು.
But the chief priests plotted to kill Leayzar also,
11 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.
because on account of him many of the Jewish people went away and believed in Yeshua.
12 ಮರುದಿನ ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗುಂಪು ಯೇಸು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆಂಬ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಕೇಳಿ,
On the next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Yeshua was coming to Urishlim,
13 ಖರ್ಜೂರದ ಗರಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ಹೊಸನ್ನ!” “ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವವನಿಗೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ!” “ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಶುಭವಾಗಲಿ!” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿದರು.
they took the branches of the palm trees, and went out to meet him, and were shouting, "Ushanna. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israyel."
14 ಯೇಸು ಕತ್ತೆಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡರು. ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವಂತೆ:
And Yeshua, having found a young donkey, sat on it. As it is written,
15 “ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪುತ್ರಿಯೇ, ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ, ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಅರಸ ಕತ್ತೆಮರಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ,” ಎಂಬ ಮಾತು ನೆರವೇರಿತು.
"Do not be afraid, daughter of Tsehyun. Look, your King comes, sitting on a donkey's colt."
16 ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಮೊದಲು ತಿಳಿದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಮಹಿಮೆ ಹೊಂದಿದಾಗ ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವಂತೆಯೇ, ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಜನರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆಂದು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದರು.
His disciples did not understand these things at first, but when Yeshua was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about him, and that they had done these things to him.
17 ಯೇಸು ಲಾಜರನನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕರೆದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಜನರೇ ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
The crowd therefore that was with him when he called Leayzar out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, was testifying about it.
18 ಯೇಸು ಈ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆಂದು ಅನೇಕ ಜನರು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಸಹ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಲು ಬಂದರು.
For this cause also the crowd went and met him, because they heard that he had done this sign.
19 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ, “ನೋಡಿದಿರಾ, ನಮಗೆ ಏನೂ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಲೋಕವೇ ಆತನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದೆ!” ಎಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, "See how you accomplish nothing. Look, the whole world has gone after him."
20 ಹಬ್ಬದ ಆರಾಧನೆಗೆ ಗ್ರೀಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಬಂದಿದ್ದರು.
Now there were certain Greeks among those that went up to worship at the feast.
21 ಇವರು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದ ಬೇತ್ಸಾಯಿದವನಾದ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ಅಯ್ಯಾ, ನಾವು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ನೋಡಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
These, therefore, came to Philipus, who was from Beth-Sayada of Galila, and asked him, saying, "Sir, we want to see Yeshua."
22 ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು ಬಂದು ಅಂದ್ರೆಯನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಅಂದ್ರೆಯನೂ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನೂ ಬಂದು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
Philipus came and told Andreus, and in turn, Andreus came with Philipus, and they told Yeshua.
23 ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನು ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡುವ ಸಮಯ ಬಂದಿದೆ.
And Yeshua answered them, "The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
24 ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಗೋಧಿಯ ಕಾಳು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಸಾಯದಿದ್ದರೆ ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಯುವುದು, ಆದರೆ ಅದು ಸತ್ತರೆ ಬಹಳ ಫಲಕೊಡುವುದು.
Truly, truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.
25 ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ಈ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವವರು ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. (aiōnios g166)
He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
26 ನನ್ನ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಲಿ. ಆಗ ನಾನಿರುವಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೂ ಇರುವರು. ನನ್ನ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವವರನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುವರು.
If anyone serves me, let him follow me; and where I am, there will my servant also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
27 “ಈಗ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ತತ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ನಾನೇನು ಹೇಳಲಿ? ‘ತಂದೆಯೇ, ಈ ಗಳಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲೋ? ಇಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ಈ ಗಳಿಗೆಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನಲ್ಲಾ?
"Now my soul is troubled; and what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour?' But for this cause I came to this hour.
28 ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಮಹಿಮೆ ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು. ಆಗ, “ಹೌದು, ನಾನು ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಪುನಃ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಪಡಿಸುವೆನು,” ಎಂಬ ಸ್ವರವು ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿಸಿತು.
Father, glorify your name." Then there came a voice out of the sky, saying, "I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again."
29 ಆಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಜನರು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, “ಗುಡುಗಿತು,” ಎಂದರು. ಬೇರೆಯವರು, “ದೇವದೂತನೊಬ್ಬನು ಈತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನು,” ಎಂದರು.
The crowd therefore, who stood by and heard it, said that it had thundered. Others said, "An angel has spoken to him."
30 ಯೇಸು, “ಈ ಸ್ವರವು ನನಗಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ನಿಮಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಬಂದಿದೆ.
Yeshua answered, "This voice hasn't come for my sake, but for your sakes.
31 ಈಗ ಈ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪು ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಹಲೋಕದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯನ್ನು ಈಗ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕಲಾಗುವುದು.
Now is the judgment of this world. Now the prince of this world will be cast out.
32 ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದ ಮೇಲೇರಿಸಿದಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೆಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw everyone to myself."
33 ತಾವು ಎಂಥಾ ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಸಾಯಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸೂಚಿಸಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
But he said this, signifying by what kind of death he should die.
34 ಜನರು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ಮೋಶೆಯ ನಿಯಮದಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನು ಮೇಲೇರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನು ಯಾರು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. (aiōn g165)
The crowd answered him, "We have heard out of the law that the Meshikha remains forever. Then how can you say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up?' Who is this Son of Man?" (aiōn g165)
35 ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಾಲವೇ ಬೆಳಕು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಡುವೆ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಕತ್ತಲು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕವಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೆಳಕಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ನಡೆಯಿರಿ. ಕತ್ತಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವವನು ತಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯದು.
Yeshua therefore said to them, "Yet a little while the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, that darkness does not overtake you. He who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.
36 ನೀವು ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಪುತ್ರರಾಗುವಂತೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೆಳಕು ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ನಂಬಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು. ಯೇಸು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ, ಅವರಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡರು.
While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become children of light." Yeshua said these things, and he departed and hid himself from them.
37 ಯೇಸು ಅನೇಕ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಜನರು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಂಬಲಿಲ್ಲ.
But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they did not believe in him,
38 ಇದರಿಂದ, “ಸ್ವಾಮೀ, ನಮ್ಮ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಯಾರು ನಂಬಿದರು? ಕರ್ತ ಆಗಿರುವವರ ಬಾಹುವು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಯಿತು?” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ನುಡಿದದ್ದು ನೆರವೇರಿತು.
that the word of Eshaya the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, "Lord, who has believed our report, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?"
39 ಅವರು ನಂಬಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಕಡೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
For this cause they could not believe, for Eshaya said again,
40 “ಅವರು ಕಣ್ಣಿನಿಂದ ಕಾಣದೆ, ಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ಗ್ರಹಿಸದೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದದೆ ಇರುವಂತೆ ದೇವರು ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರುಡುಮಾಡಿ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು.”
He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.
41 ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Eshaya said these things because he saw his glory, and spoke of him.
42 ಆದರೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ತಾವು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದಿಂದ ಬಹಿಷ್ಕಾರ ಆಗಬಾರದೆಂದು ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಿ ಅರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Nevertheless even of the rulers many believed in him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue,
43 ಅವರು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೆಗಿಂತ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದರು.
for they loved praise from people more than praise from God.
44 ಯೇಸು, ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಂಬುವವರು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ತಂದೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Then Yeshua shouted out and said, "Whoever believes in me, believes not in me, but in him who sent me.
45 ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನೇ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಾರೆ.
And he who sees me sees him who sent me.
46 ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡುವವರು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯಬಾರದೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness.
47 “ಯಾರು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಯೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಈಗ ತೀರ್ಪು ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ತೀರ್ಪು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ನಾನು ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
And if anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸದವರಿಗೆ ತೀರ್ಪು ಮಾಡುವಂಥದ್ದು ಒಂದು ಇದೆ. ಅದು ನಾನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯವೇ, ಅದೇ ಕಡೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತೀರ್ಪು ಮಾಡುವುದು.
He who rejects me, and does not accept my words, has one who judges him. The word that I spoke will judge him on the last day.
49 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೇ ಮಾತನಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಏನು ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ತಂದೆಯೇ ನನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
