ಯೋವೇಲನು 2
1 ನೀವು ಚೀಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಬು ಊದಿರಿ. ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪರ್ವತದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸಿರಿ. ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರು ನಡುಗಲಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದಿವಸವು ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದು ಸಮೀಪವಾಗಿದೆ.
Blow ye a trumpet in Zion, And shout ye in My holy hill, Tremble do all inhabitants of the earth, For coming is the day of Jehovah, for [it is] near!
2 ಅದು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯೂ ಮಬ್ಬೂ ಉಳ್ಳ ದಿವಸವೂ, ಮೇಘವೂ ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲು ಉಳ್ಳ ದಿವಸವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಡುವ ಉದಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬಲವಾದ ಸ್ಯೆನ್ಯವು ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದು ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂದಿನ ಯುಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
A day of darkness and thick darkness, A day of cloud and thick darkness, As darkness spread on the mountains, A people numerous and mighty, Like it there hath not been from of old, And after it there is not again — till the years of generation and generation.
3 ಅವುಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ದಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವುಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಜ್ವಾಲೆ ಧಗಧಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವುಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ದೇಶವು ಏದೆನ್ ತೋಟದ ಹಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವುಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕಾಡು ಹಾಳಾಗಿದೆ. ಯಾವುದೂ ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Before it consumed hath fire, And after it burn doth a flame, As the garden of Eden [is] the land before it, And after it a wilderness — a desolation! And also an escape there hath not been to it,
4 ಅವುಗಳ ಆಕಾರವು ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಆಕಾರದ ಹಾಗಿದೆ. ಸವಾರರ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಓಡುತ್ತವೆ.
As the appearance of horses [is] its appearance, And as horsemen, so they run.
5 ರಥಗಳ ಶಬ್ದದಂತೆ ಅವು ಪರ್ವತಗಳ ತುದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾರುತ್ತವೆ. ಸಿಡಿಯುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ದಹಿಸುವ ಕೋಲಿನಂತೆ, ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾದ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇವೆ.
As the noise of chariots, on the tops of the mountains they skip, As the noise of a flame of fire devouring stubble, As a mighty people set in array for battle.
6 ಅವುಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ನೊಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಖಗಳು ಕಳೆಗುಂದುತ್ತವೆ.
From its face pained are peoples, All faces have gathered paleness.
7 ಶೂರರ ಹಾಗೆ ಓಡುತ್ತವೆ. ಯುದ್ಧಶಾಲಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಗೋಡೆ ಏರುತ್ತವೆ. ಅವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಾಲಾಗಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯುತ್ತವೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಹಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬದಲು ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
As mighty ones they run, As men of war they go up a wall, And each in his own ways they do go, And they embarrass not their paths.
8 ಒಂದು ಇನ್ನೊಂದನ್ನು ನೂಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯುತ್ತವೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಡದೆ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ.
And each his brother they press not, Each in his way they go on, If by the missile they fall, they are not cut off.
9 ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ತಿತ್ತ ತಿರುಗಾಡುತ್ತವೆ. ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಓಡುತ್ತವೆ. ಅವು ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ, ಕಳ್ಳನ ಹಾಗೆ ಕಿಟಿಕಿಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
In the city they run to and fro, On the wall they run, Into houses they go up by the windows, They go in as a thief.
10 ಅವುಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಭೂಮಿಯು ನಡುಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಕಾಶಗಳು ಅದರುತ್ತವೆ. ಸೂರ್ಯ ಚಂದ್ರರು ಕಪ್ಪಾಗುತ್ತವೆ. ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊಳೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
At their face trembled hath the earth, Shaken have the heavens, Sun and moon have been black, And stars have gathered up their shining.
11 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸೈನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಗುಡುಗಿನಂತೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಸೈನ್ಯ ಬಹು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವವನು ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಯು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದಿವಸವು ದೊಡ್ಡದು, ಮಹಾ ಭಯಂಕರವಾದದ್ದು. ಅದನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರು ಯಾರು?
And Jehovah hath given forth His voice before His force, For very great [is] His camp, For mighty [is] the doer of His word, For great [is] the day of Jehovah — very fearful, And who doth bear it?
12 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಘೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, “ಈಗಲಾದರೂ ಉಪವಾಸದಿಂದಲೂ ಅಳುವಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಗೋಳಾಟದಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.”
And also now — an affirmation of Jehovah, Turn ye back unto Me with all your heart, And with fasting, and with weeping, And with lamentation.
13 ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನಲ್ಲ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಕೊಂಡು, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಅವರು ದಯೆಯೂ ಕರುಣೆಯೂ, ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತಿಯೂ ಮಹಾ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯೂ ಉಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವ ಕೇಡಿಗೆ ಮನಮರುಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
And rend your heart, and not your garments, And turn back unto Jehovah your God, For gracious and merciful [is] He, Slow to anger, and abundant in kindness, And He hath repented concerning the evil.
14 ದೇವರು ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಬಹುದು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಬಹುದು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲು ಬೇಕಾದ ಧಾನ್ಯ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಹಾಗು ಪಾನಾರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಧಾರಾಳವಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಸಬಹುದು, ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತು?
Who knoweth — He doth turn back, Yea — He hath repented, And He hath left behind Him a blessing, A present and libation of Jehovah your God?
15 ಚೀಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಬು ಊದಿರಿ; ಪವಿತ್ರ ಉಪವಾಸವನ್ನು ಸಾರಿರಿ; ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿರಿ.
Blow ye a trumpet in Zion, Sanctify a fast — proclaim a restraint.
16 ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿರಿ; ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಪವಿತ್ರಗೊಳಿಸಿರಿ; ಹಿರಿಯರನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸಿರಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಹಸುಗೂಸುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಿರಿ; ಮದುಮಗನು ತನ್ನ ಕೊಠಡಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ಮದುಮಗಳು ತನ್ನ ಕೊಠಡಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ಹೊರಡಲಿ.
Gather the people, sanctify an assembly, Assemble the aged, Gather infants and sucklings of the breasts, Go out let a bridegroom from his inner chamber, And a bride out of her closet.
17 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಯಾಜಕರು, ಅಂಗಳಕ್ಕೂ, ಬಲಿಪೀಠಕ್ಕೂ ನಡುವೆ ಅತ್ತು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಿ, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕನಿಕರಿಸು, ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ನಿಂದಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ದೂಷಣೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ‘ಅವರ ದೇವರು ಎಲ್ಲಿ?’ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಏಕೆ ನಿಂದಿಸಬೇಕು?”
Between the porch and the altar weep let the priests, ministrants of Jehovah, And let them say: 'Have pity, O Jehovah, on Thy people, And give not Thy inheritance to reproach, To the ruling over them of nations, Why do they say among peoples, Where [is] their God?'
18 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಅಭಿಮಾನಗೊಂಡು, ತಮ್ಮ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕನಿಕರಿಸುವರು.
And let Jehovah be zealous for His land, And have pity on His people.
19 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟು, ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನೂ, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನೂ, ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಾಕಾಗುವಷ್ಟು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂದಿತರಾಗಿ ಇಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Let Jehovah answer and say to His people, 'Lo, I am sending to you the corn, And the new wine, and the oil, And ye have been satisfied with it, And I make you no more a reproach among nations,
20 “ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ದೂರಮಾಡಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಬಿದ್ದ ಬಂಜರು ಭೂಮಿಗೂ, ಅದರ ಮುಂಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ವದ ಉಪ್ಪು ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೂ ಅದರ ಹಿಂಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದ ಮೆಡಿಟರೇನಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೂ ಓಡಿಸಿಬಿಡುವೆನು. ಅದರ ದುರ್ವಾಸನೆಯು ಏರುವುದು. ಅದು ಗಬ್ಬು ನಾರುವುದು.” ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಆತನು ಮಹಾಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
And the northern I put far off from you, And have driven him unto a land dry and desolate, With his face unto the eastern sea, And his rear unto the western sea, And come up hath his stink, And come up doth his stench, For he hath exerted himself to work.
21 ಯಹೂದ ದೇಶವೇ, ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ; ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಿಸಿ, ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮಹತ್ತಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Do not fear, O land! joy and rejoice, For Jehovah hath exerted Himself to work.
22 ಕಾಡುಮೃಗಗಳೇ, ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಅಡವಿಯ ಮೇವಿನ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ಮೊಳೆಯುತ್ತವೆ. ಮರಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಫಲಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಅಂಜೂರದ ಗಿಡವೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ಬಳ್ಳಿಯೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತವೆ.
Do not fear, O cattle of the field! For sprung forth have pastures of a wilderness, For the tree hath borne its fruit, Fig-tree and vine have given their strength!
23 ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಜನರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಿಸಿರಿ, ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಮುಂಗಾರು ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಕೊಡುವರು. ಮುಂಗಾರು, ಹಿಂಗಾರು ಮಳೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೊದಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸುರಿಸುವರು.
And ye sons of Zion, joy and rejoice, In Jehovah your God, For He hath given to you the Teacher for righteousness, And causeth to come down to you a shower, Sprinkling and gathered — in the beginning.
24 ಕಣಗಳು ಧಾನ್ಯದಿಂದ ತುಂಬುವುವು. ತೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸದಿಂದಲೂ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುವುವು.
And full have been the floors [with] pure corn, And overflown have the presses [with] new wine and oil.
25 “ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಂಥ ನನ್ನ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸೈನ್ಯವಾದ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳು, ಗುಂಪು ಮಿಡತೆಗಳು, ಕಂಬಳಿ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳು, ಚೂರಿ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳು ತಿಂದು ಬಿಟ್ಟ ವರ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಪುನಃಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಡುವೆನು.
And I have recompensed to you the years That consume did the locust, the cankerworm, And the caterpillar, and the palmer-worm, My great force that I did send against you.
26 ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಉಂಡು, ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಟ್ಟು, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅದ್ಭುತವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುವಿರಿ. ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡರು.
And ye have eaten, eating and being satisfied, And have praised the name of Jehovah your God, Who hath dealt with you wonderfully, And not ashamed are My people to the age.
27 ನಾನೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿ ಇರುವವನು. ನಾನೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು, ನಾನಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರು ನಿಮಗಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡರು.
And ye have known that in the midst of Israel [am] I, And I [am] Jehovah your God, and there is none else, And not ashamed are My people to the age.
28 “ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು, ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮನನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುರಿಸುವೆನು, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುವರು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಕನಸುಗಳು ಬೀಳುವುವು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯುವಜನರಿಗೆ ದರ್ಶನಗಳಾಗುವವು.
And it hath come to pass afterwards, I do pour out My Spirit on all flesh, And prophesied have your sons and your daughters, Your old men do dream dreams, Your young men do see visions.
29 ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ನನ್ನ ದಾಸ ದಾಸಿಯರ ಮೇಲೆ, ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುವೆನು.
And also on the men-servants, and on the maid-servants, In those days I do pour out My Spirit.
30 ಆಕಾಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನು, ರಕ್ತ, ಬೆಂಕಿ, ಹಬೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವೆನು.
And I have given wonders in the heavens, and in the earth, Blood and fire, and columns of smoke.
31 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಭಯಂಕರವಾದ ಮಹಾದಿನವು ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು, ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಕತ್ತಲಾಗುವನು, ಚಂದ್ರನು ರಕ್ತವಾಗುವನು.
The sun is turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, Before the coming of the day of Jehovah, The great and the fearful.
32 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಆಗುವುದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪರ್ವತದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅನೇಕರಿಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತಿ ದೊರಕುವುದು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕರೆಹೊಂದಿ ಉಳಿದವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಇರುವುದು.
And it hath come to pass, Every one who calleth in the name of Jehovah is delivered, For in mount Zion and in Jerusalem there is an escape, As Jehovah hath said, And among the remnants whom Jehovah is calling!
