ಯೋಬನು 9
1 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಬನು ಉತ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇಂತೆಂದನು:
Then Job answered and said,
2 “ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ, ಇದು ಸತ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು; ಆದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಗ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಿಕರಿಸುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?
I know [it to be] so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?
3 ದೇವರ ಸಂಗಡ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡಲು ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಬಯಸಿದರೂ, ದೇವರ ಸಾವಿರ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಕ್ಕೂ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಲಾರನು.
If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
4 ದೇವರ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಆಳವಾದದ್ದು, ಶಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ಪ್ರಬಲರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ದೇವರ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುವವನು ಯಾರು?
[He is] wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened [himself] against him, and hath prospered?
5 ದೇವರು ಪರ್ವತಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಸರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ತಮ್ಮ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Who removeth the mountains, and they know not: who overturneth them in his anger.
6 ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಳದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕದಲಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅದರ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳು ನಡುಗುತ್ತವೆ.
Who shaketh the earth out of her place, and its pillars tremble.
7 ದೇವರು ಸೂರ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸದಂತೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ, ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ರೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಕ್ಷತ್ರವೂ ಮಿನುಗುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Who commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.
8 ದೇವರೊಬ್ಬರೇ ಆಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ದೇವರು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ತೆರೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Who alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
9 ಸಪ್ತರ್ಷಿಮಂಡಲವನ್ನೂ, ಮೃಗಶಿರವನ್ನೂ, ಕೃತ್ತಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದವರು ದೇವರೇ.
Who maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.
10 ದೇವರು ಕಂಡು ಹಿಡಿಯಲಾರದಂಥ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದಷ್ಟು ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Who doeth great things past finding out; yes, and wonders without number.
11 ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹಾದುಹೋದಾಗ, ನನಗೆ ಅವರು ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ದೇವರು ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Lo, he goeth by me, and I see [him] not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not.
12 ದೇವರು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿ ಮಾಡುವವರು ಯಾರು? ದೇವರನ್ನು, ‘ನೀವು ಏನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವವರ‍್ಯಾರು.
Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say to him, What doest thou?
13 ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬೇಸರವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ರಹಾಬನ ಸಹಾಯಕರು ಸಹ ದೇವರ ಕಾಲಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಾ.
[If] God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.
14 “ದೇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾದಿಸಲು ನಾನು ಅಶಕ್ತನು; ದೇವರಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಲು ನಾನು ಎಷ್ಟರವನು?
How much less shall I answer him, [and] choose out my words [to reason] with him?
15 ನಾನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡೆನು; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗೆ ಕರುಣೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವೆನು.
Whom, though I were righteous, [yet] would I not answer, [but] I would make supplication to my judge.
16 ನಾನು ಕರೆಯಲು ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ, ನನ್ನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಗೆ ದೇವರು ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವರೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಂಬುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
If I had called, and he had answered me; [yet] I would not believe that he had hearkened to my voice.
17 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ನನ್ನ ಗಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾರಣವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause.
18 ನಾನು ಉಸಿರಾಡಲು ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ದೇವರು ಕಹಿಯಾದವುಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
He will not suffer me to take my breath, but filleth me with bitterness.
19 ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದರೆ, ಇಗೋ ದೇವರು ಬಲಶಾಲಿ! ನ್ಯಾಯದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾದಿಸಬೇಕಾದರೆ, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸವಾಲು ಹಾಕುವವರು ಯಾರು?
If [I speak] of strength, lo, [he is] strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time [to plead]?
20 ನಾನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಬಾಯೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ನಾನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪರಾಧಿ ಎಂದು ನಿರೂಪಿಸುವರು.
If I justify myself, my own mouth will condemn me: [if I say], I [am] perfect, that also will prove me perverse.
21 “ನಾನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯೇ ಹೌದು, ನನ್ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಚಿಂತೆ ಇಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಬಾಳನ್ನೇ ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
[Though] I [were] perfect, [yet] would I not know my soul: I would despise my life.
22 ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಂದೇ ವಿಷಯ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ: ‘ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಕೆಟ್ಟವನನ್ನೂ ದೇವರು ದಂಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.’
This [is] one [thing], therefore I said [it], he destroyeth the perfect and the wicked.
23 ವಿಪತ್ತು ಅಕಸ್ಮಾತ್ತಾಗಿ ಮರಣವನ್ನು ತಂದರೆ, ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆಗೆ ದೇವರು ನಗುವರು.
If the scourge shall slay suddenly, he will laugh at the trial of the innocent.
24 ಲೋಕವು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರ ಕೈವಶವಾಗಿದೆ; ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳ ಮುಖಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಸುಕುಹಾಕಲಾಗಿದೆ; ಇದನ್ನು ಅನುಮತಿಸಿದವರು ದೇವರಲ್ಲದೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಯಾರು?
The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of its judges; if not, where, [and] who [is] he?
25 “ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ದಿನಗಳು ಅಂಚೆಯವನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿವೆ; ಆನಂದವನ್ನೂ ನೋಡದೆ ದಿನಗಳು ಓಡಿಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ.
Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good.
26 ಆಪಿನ ದೋಣಿಗಳು ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಹದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಬೇಟೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಎರಗುವಂತೆಯೂ ದಿನಗಳು ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಗತಿಸಿಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ.
They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle [that] hasteth to the prey.
27 ‘ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆತು, ನನ್ನ ಭಾರವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಆದರಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ,
If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and comfort [myself]:
28 ನನಗಾದ ವ್ಯಥೆಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆದರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರಪರಾಧಿ ಎಂದು ಎಣಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಸಹ ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ.
I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent.
29 ನಾನು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಅಪರಾಧಿ ಎಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯವಾಗಿರುವಾಗ, ನಾನು ಏಕೆ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹೋರಾಡಬೇಕು?
[If] I am wicked, why then do I labor in vain?
30 ನಾನು ಹಿಮದ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿ, ಸಾಬೂನಿನಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆದುಕೊಂಡರೂ,
If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;
31 ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುವರು; ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಸಹ್ಯಪಡಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು.
Yet wilt thou plunge me in the ditch, and my own clothes shall abhor me.
32 “ದೇವರು ನನ್ನಂಥ ಕೇವಲ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲ, ನಾನು ದೇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾದಿಸುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ನಾವಿಬ್ಬರೂ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ಕೂಡಿ ವಾದಿಸುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?
For [he is] not a man, as I [am], [that] I should answer him, [and] we should come together in judgment.
33 ನಮ್ಮಿಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟು ಸೇರಿಸುವ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನಮ್ಮ ನಡುವೆ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ,
Neither is there any judge between us, [that] might lay his hand upon us both.
34 ದೇವರ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯಕೋಲನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಸುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ, ದೇವರ ಭೀತಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಹೆದರದೆ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ.
Let him take away his rod from me, and let not his fear terrify me:
35 ಆಗ ನಾನು ದೇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡದೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಈಗ ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ.
[Then] would I speak, and not fear him; but [it is] not so with me.
