ಯೋಬನು 41
1 “ಯೋಬನೇ, ಲಿವ್ಯಾತಾನ್ ಮೊಸಳೆಯನ್ನು ಗಾಳದಿಂದ ಎಳೆಯಬಲ್ಲೆಯಾ? ಹಗ್ಗದಿಂದ ಅದರ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಯಬಲ್ಲೆಯಾ?
Canst thou draw out the crocodile with a fishhook? or cause his tongue to sink into the batted rope?
2 ಅದರ ಮೂಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಳ ಇಡುವೆಯಾ? ಅದರ ದವಡೆಗೆ ಮುಳ್ಳಿನಿಂದ ಚುಚ್ಚುವೆಯಾ?
Canst thou put a reed through his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
3 ಅದು ಅನೇಕ ಸಾರಿ ಕರುಣೆಗಾಗಿ ನಿನಗೆ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಮಾಡಿತೇ? ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ನಮ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡೀತೇ?
Will he address many supplications unto thee? or will he speak submissively unto thee?
4 ನೀನು ಅದನ್ನು ಇಡೀ ಜೀವಮಾನಕ್ಕೂ ಆಳಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ, ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡೀತೆ?
Will he make a covenant with thee? that thou couldst take him as a servant for ever?
5 ಸಾಕುಪಕ್ಷಿಯಂತೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಆಡಿಸಬಲ್ಲೆಯಾ? ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಹುಡುಗಿಯರ ವಿನೋದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಕಬಲ್ಲೆಯಾ?
Canst thou play with him as with a bird? and tie him up for thy maidens?
6 ಬೆಸ್ತರು ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆಯೆ? ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ವರ್ತಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಂಚಿ ಮಾರುವರೆ?
Can companions waylay him? can they divide him among merchants?
7 ಆ ಮೊಸಳೆಯ ಚರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಳಿಂದ ಚುಚ್ಚಬಲ್ಲೆಯಾ? ಅದರ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಮೀನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಈಟಿಯಿಂದ ತಿವಿಯಬಲ್ಲೆಯಾ?
Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? and [pierce] with a fish-spear his head?
8 ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಹಾಕಿ ನೋಡು! ಆ ಹೋರಾಟವನ್ನು ನೆನೆಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ, ನೀನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ!
Lay thy hand upon him; think of the battle: thou wilt never do it again.
9 ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯಬಹುದೆಂಬ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದದ್ದು; ಹಿಡಿಯ ಬಂದವನು ನೋಡಿದ ಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆದರಿ ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವನು.
Behold, his expectation was deceived: even at his mere sight is he cast down.
10 ಅದನ್ನು ಕೆಣಕಲು ಧೈರ್ಯಗೊಳ್ಳುವಷ್ಟು ಉಗ್ರತೆ ಯಾರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಹೀಗಿರುವಾಗ, ನನಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಲು ಶಕ್ತರು ಯಾರು?
None is so daring that he would stir him up: and who is there that will stand up before me?
11 ನಾನು ಸಾಲ ತೀರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹಕ್ಕು ಸಾಧಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರು? ಆಕಾಶದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇರುವಂಥ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದೂ ನನ್ನದೇ.
Who hath shown me favor, that I should repay him! whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.—
12 “ನಾನು ಲಿವ್ಯಾತಾನ್ ಮೊಸಳೆಯ ದೇಹದ ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಲವನ್ನೂ, ಅದರ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಸೊಬಗನ್ನೂ ವರ್ಣಿಸದೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರಲಾರೆನು.
I will not conceal [the account of] his limbs, nor the relation of his might, nor the grace of his proportion.
13 ಅದರ ಹೊರ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಬಲ್ಲವರು ಯಾರು? ಅದರ ಜೋಡು ದವಡೆಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಕಡಿವಾಣದಿಂದ ನುಗ್ಗಬಲ್ಲವರು ಯಾರು?
Who hath ever laid open the front of his garment? or who can penetrate into his double row of teeth?
14 ಅದರ ಮುಖದ ಕದಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯಬಲ್ಲವರು ಯಾರು? ಅದರ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಭಯಭೀತಿ ಆವರಿಸಿರುವುದು.
Who hath opened the doors of his face? all round about his teeth abideth terror.
15 ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳ ಸಾಲುಗಳು ಅದರ ಬೆನ್ನಿಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಾಗಿವೆ; ಅವು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಬಿಗಿಯಾಗಿ ಮುದ್ರಿಸಲಾಗಿವೆ.
What pride is there in [his] strong shields; he is locked up as with a close seal.
16 ಗಾಳಿಯೂ ಅವುಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ನುಗ್ಗದಂತೆ, ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ.
One is joined to another; and no breath can come between them.
17 ಆ ಅಡ್ಡಣಗಳು ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ; ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಲಾಗದಂತೆ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡಿವೆ.
They are fitted closely one to another: they are interlocked, that they cannot be severed.
18 ಅದರ ಸೀನಿನ ತುಂತುರುಗಳು ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಹೊಳಪನ್ನು ಹೊರಹಾಕುವುದು; ಅದರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಉದಯದ ಕಿರಣಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಇವೆ.
From his sneezing there beameth forth a light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning-dawn.
19 ಅದರ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಉರಿಯುವ ದೀಪಗಳು ಹೊರಡುತ್ತವೆ; ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಕಿಡಿಗಳು ಹಾರುತ್ತವೆ.
Out of his mouth issue burning torches, sparks of fire escape [therefrom].
20 ಆಪುಹುಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಟ್ಟಾಗ ಕುದಿಯುವ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಆವಿ ಬರುವಂತೆ, ಅದರ ಮೂಗಿನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊಗೆ ಹಾಯುವುದು.
Out of his nostrils cometh forth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.
21 ಅದರ ಶ್ವಾಸವೇ ಇದ್ದಲನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತಿಸುವುದು; ಜ್ವಾಲೆಯು ಅದರ ಬಾಯಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವುದು.
His breath kindleth coals, and a flame cometh out of his mouth.
22 ಅದರ ಬಲವು ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವುದು; ಅದರ ಮುಂದೆ ಭಯವು ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದು.
In his neck abideth strength, and before him danceth terror joyfully.
23 ಅದರ ಮಾಂಸದ ಖಂಡಗಳು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ; ಅವು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕದಲದೆ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ.
The flakes of his flesh are fitted closely together: they are as molten metal on him, immovable.
24 ಅದರ ಹೃದಯವು ಬಂಡೆಯಂತೆಯೂ, ಬೀಸುವ ಕೆಳಗಲ್ಲಿನಂತೆಯೂ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.
His heart is firm like a stone: yea, as firm as the nether millstone.
25 ಅದು ಎದ್ದರೆ ಶೂರರು ಸಹ ಹೆದರುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅದರ ಹೊಡೆತಕ್ಕೆ ಭಯಭ್ರಾಂತರಾಗಿ ಹಿಂಜರಿಯುವರು.
At his lifting himself up the mighty are terrified: the waves also are lessened.
26 ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೇನೂ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಭರ್ಜಿ, ಬಾಣ, ಕವಚ ಇವುಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಏನು ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
If one overtake him with the sword, it cannot hold; nor the spear, the dart, and armor.
27 ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಣಹುಲ್ಲಿನಂತೆಯೂ, ಕಂಚು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಳೆತ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯಂತೆಯೂ ಇರುವುದು.
He esteemeth iron as straw, [and] brass as rotten wood.
28 ಲಿವ್ಯಾತಾನ್ ಮೊಸಳೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಲ್ಲುಬಾಣಗಳು ಓಡಿಸಲು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ; ಕವಣೆಯ ಕಲ್ಲು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ.
The child of the bow cannot make him flee: into stubble are slingstones changed unto him.
29 ದೊಣ್ಣೆಗಳು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಣಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವುದು; ಭರ್ಜಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತಾಕಿದರೆ, ಅದು ನಗುವುದು.
Clubs are esteemed as stubble, and he laugheth at the whirring of the lance.
30 ಅದರ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚೂಪಾದ ಒಡೆದ ಮಡಕೆಗಳಂತಿವೆ, ಅದು ಕೆಸರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ತೆನೆಬಡಿಯುವ ಯಂತ್ರದಿಂದ ಆಗುವ ಗುರುತಿನಂತಿರುವುದು.
Beneath him are sharp-pointed potsherds, he spreadeth out, [as it were, a] threshing-roller upon the mire.
31 ಅದು ಆಳವಾದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುದಿಯುವ ಹಂಡೆಯ ನೀರಿನಂತೆ ಕಲಕುವುದು; ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ತೈಲದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಕದಲಿಸುವುದು.
He causeth the deep to boil like a pot: he rendereth the sea like an apothecary's mixture.
32 ಸಾಗರಕ್ಕೆ ನೆರೆ ಬಂತೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ, ಅದು ತಾನು ಬಂದ ಹಾದಿಯನ್ನೇ ಬೆಳ್ಳಗಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು.
Behind him he causeth his pathway to shine, [so that] men esteem the deep to be hoary.
33 ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲ; ಇದು ಭಯಭೀತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ.
There is none upon earth that ruleth over him, who is made to be without dread.
34 ಇದು ಪ್ರತಿ ಅಹಂಕಾರಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದು; ಗರ್ವಪಡುವ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದು ರಾಜನಾಗಿರುವುದು.”
He looketh upon all that is high: he is the king over all the ravenous beasts.
