ಯೋಬನು 38
1 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಯೋಬನಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟರು:
Then Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
2 “ಅಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂಕುಮಾಡುವ ನೀನು ಯಾರು?
Who is this that darkeneth counsel By words without knowledge?
3 ಶೂರನ ಹಾಗೆ ನಡುವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೋ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಮಾಡುವೆನು; ನೀನೇ ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡು.
Gird up now thy loins like a man; For I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
4 “ನಾನು ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರ ಹಾಕಿದಾಗ, ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದೀ? ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳು.
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding.
5 ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಳತೆಯನ್ನು ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಿದವರು ಯಾರು? ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿರಬೇಕಲ್ಲಾ? ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನೂಲು ಹಿಡಿದವರು ಯಾರು?
Who determined the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who stretched the line upon it?
6 ಯಾವುದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರ ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ? ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂಲೆಗಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟವರು ಯಾರು?
Whereupon were the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the corner-stone thereof,
7 ಉದಯದ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು ಕೂಡಿ ಹಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ದೇವದೂತರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹರ್ಷಧ್ವನಿಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಮೂಲೆಗಲ್ಲು ಹಾಕಿದವರಾರು?
When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
8 “ಭೂಗರ್ಭವನ್ನು ನುಗ್ಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದ, ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ದ್ವಾರಗಳಿಂದ ಮುಚ್ಚಿದವರು ಯಾರು?
Or [who] shut up the sea with doors, When it brake forth, [as if] it had issued out of the womb;
9 ನಾನು ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಮೇಘವನ್ನು ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನಾಗಿ ತೊಡಿಸಿ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲನ್ನು ಉಡಿಸಿದೆನು.
When I made clouds the garment thereof, And thick darkness a swaddling-band for it,
10 ನಾನು ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಮಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಿ, ಅಗುಳಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಇಟ್ಟೆನು.
And marked out for it my bound, And set bars and doors,
11 ‘ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ತನಕ ಬರಬಹುದು, ಇದನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಬರಕೂಡದು; ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೇ ನಿನ್ನ ತೆರೆಗಳ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಿ,’ ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದೆನು.
And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further; And here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
12 “ಯೋಬನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದಾದರೂ, ‘ಅರುಣೋದಯವಾಗಲಿ,’ ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿರುವೆಯಾ? ಮುಂಜಾನೆಯ ಬೆಳಗಿಗೆ ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸಿರುವೆಯಾ?
Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days [began], [And] caused the dayspring to know its place;
13 ‘ದುಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ಅದರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಒದರಿಬಿಡು,’ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಂಚುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಉದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಎಂದಾದರೂ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಮಾಡಿದೆಯಾ?
That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it?
14 ಮುದ್ರೆ ಒತ್ತಿದ ಜೇಡಿಮಣ್ಣಿನಂತೆ ಭೂಮಿ ರೂಪ ತಾಳುತ್ತದೆ; ನೆರಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಉಡಿಗೆಯಂತೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಗಳು ಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
It is changed as clay under the seal; And [all things] stand forth as a garment:
15 ಅದರಂತೆ ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ಬೆಳಕು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು; ಅವರ ಹಿಂಸಾಚಾರವೂ ಮುರಿದು ಹೋಗುವುದು.
And from the wicked their light is withholden, And the high arm is broken.
16 “ನೀನು ಎಂದಾದರೂ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿರುವೆಯೋ? ಸಾಗರದ ತಳಹದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರುಗಾಡಿರುವೆಯೋ?
Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? Or hast thou walked in the recesses of the deep?
17 ನಿನಗೆ ಮರಣದ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳು ತೋರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆಯೋ? ಘೋರಾಂಧಕಾರದ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕಂಡಿರುವೆಯೋ?
Have the gates of death been revealed unto thee? Or hast thou seen the gates of the shadow of death?
18 ಭೂವಿಸ್ತಾರಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿರುವೆಯೋ? ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೀನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳು ನೋಡೋಣ.
Hast thou comprehended the earth in its breadth? Declare, if thou knowest it all.
19 “ಬೆಳಕಿನ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಮಾರ್ಗವೆಲ್ಲಿ? ಕತ್ತಲು ವಾಸಮಾಡುವ ಸ್ಥಳವೆಲ್ಲಿ?
Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And as for darkness, where is the place thereof,
20 ನೀನು ಬೆಳಕನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಲನ್ನೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬಲ್ಲೆಯಾ? ಅವು ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ಬಲ್ಲೆಯಾ?
That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, And that thou shouldest discern the paths to the house thereof?
21 ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ನೀನು ಆಗ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೆ, ಇವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುತಿತ್ತು. ಮತ್ತು ಈಗ ನೀನು ಬಹಳ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ವೃದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ.
[Doubtless], thou knowest, for thou wast then born, And the number of thy days is great!
22 “ಯೋಬನೇ, ನೀನು ಹಿಮದ ಉಗ್ರಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿರುವೆಯಾ? ಕಲ್ಮಳೆಯ ಉಗ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿರುವೆಯಾ?
Hast thou entered the treasuries of the snow, Or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
23 ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿರುವೆನು; ಯುದ್ಧಕದನಗಳ ದಿನಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಕಾದಿಟ್ಟಿರುವೆನು.
Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, Against the day of battle and war?
24 ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಮೂಲ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಎಲ್ಲಿದೆ? ಪೂರ್ವ ಗಾಳಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಯಾವುದು?
By what way is the light parted, Or the east wind scattered upon the earth?
25 ಮಳೆಯ ಪ್ರವಾಹಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದವರು ಯಾರು? ಸಿಡಿಲಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದವರು ಯಾರು?
Who hath cleft a channel for the waterflood, Or the way for the lightning of the thunder;
26 ಮಳೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿರ್ಜನ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಸುರಿಯುವುದು.
To cause it to rain on a land where no man is; On the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
27 ಹಾಳು ಬೈಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವುದು; ಹಸಿರಾದ ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಮೊಳಿಸುವುದು.
To satisfy the waste and desolate [ground], And to cause the tender grass to spring forth?
28 ಮಳೆಗೆ ತಂದೆ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಯೇ? ಮಂಜಿನ ಹನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತವಳಿದ್ದಾಳೆಯೆ?
Hath the rain a father? Or who hath begotten the drops of dew?
29 ಯಾರ ಗರ್ಭದಿಂದ ಹಿಮಗಡ್ಡೆ ಹೊರಡುತ್ತದೆ? ಆಕಾಶದ ಇಬ್ಬನಿಯನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತವರು ಯಾರು?
Out of whose womb came the ice? And the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
30 ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀರು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗುವುದು ಯಾವಾಗ? ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೇಲ್ಭಾಗವು ಹೆಪ್ಪುಗಟ್ಟುವುದು ಯಾವಾಗ?
The waters hide themselves [and become] like stone, And the face of the deep is frozen.
31 “ನೀನು ಕೃತ್ತಿಕೆಯ ಸರಪಣಿಯನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಬಲ್ಲೆಯಾ? ಮೃಗಶಿರದ ಸಂಕೋಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಬಲ್ಲೆಯಾ?
Canst thou bind the cluster of the Pleiades, Or loose the bands of Orion?
32 ನೀನು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರರಾಶಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡುವೆಯಾ? ಸಪ್ತರ್ಷಿ ತಾರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಪರಿವಾರ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ನಡೆಸುವೆಯಾ?
Canst thou lead forth the Mazzaroth in their season? Or canst thou guide the Bear with her train?
33 ಖಗೋಳದ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ತಿಳಿದಿರುವೆಯಾ? ದೇವರ ಆಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿರುವೆಯಾ?
Knowest thou the ordinances of the heavens? Canst thou establish the dominion thereof in the earth?
34 “ನೀರು ಪ್ರವಾಹವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಲುಪುವಂತೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಧ್ವನಿಯೆತ್ತಿ ಮೋಡಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡುವೆಯಾ?
Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, That abundance of waters may cover thee?
35 ನಿನ್ನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಂತೆ ಸಿಡಿಲುಗಳು ಹೋಗಿಬಂದು, ‘ಇಗೋ, ನಾವು ಇಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ,’ ಎಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತವೆಯೋ?
Canst thou send forth lightnings, that they may go, And say unto thee, Here we are?
36 ಇಬಿಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟವರು ಯಾರು? ಕೋಳಿಹುಂಜಕ್ಕೆ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟವರು ಯಾರು?
Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who hath given understanding to the mind?
37 ಮೋಡಗಳನ್ನು ಎಣಿಸುವ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಇದೆ? ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿನ ಬುದ್ದಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಗಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರು?
Who can number the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the bottles of heaven,
38 ಧೂಳುಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವವರು ಯಾರು? ಹೆಂಟೆಗಳು ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಅಂಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಯಾರು ಮಾಡುವರು?
When the dust runneth into a mass, And the clods cleave fast together?
39 “ಗುಹೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿರುವ ಸಿಂಹದ ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನೀನು ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡುವೆಯಾ? ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ಹಸಿವೆಯನ್ನು ನೀನು ನೀಗಿಸುವೆಯಾ?
Canst thou hunt the prey for the lioness, Or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,
40 ಪೊದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚು ಹಾಕಿರುವ, ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ಹಸಿವೆಯನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸುವೆಯಾ?
When they couch in their dens, [And] abide in the covert to lie in wait?
41 ಹಸಿದ ಕಾಗೆ ಮರಿಗಳು ಆಹಾರ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲೆದು, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆ ಇಡುವಾಗ, ತಾಯಿ ಕಾಗೆಗೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರು?
Who provideth for the raven his prey, When his young ones cry unto God, [And] wander for lack of food?
