ಯೋಬನು 35
1 ಎಲೀಹು ಮತ್ತೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
Moreover Elihu, responded and said: —
2 “ಯೋಬನೇ, ‘ನನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯು ದೇವರ ನೀತಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡದು,’ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ಸರಿಯೆಂದು ನೆನಸುತ್ತೀಯೋ?
This, dost thou think to be right? Thou hast said—My righteousness is more than GOD’S.
3 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ‘ನೀತಿಯಿಂದ ನನಗೇನು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಯಿತು? ನಾನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡದೆ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಲಾಭವೇನು? ಎಂದು ನೀನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕೇಳಿದಿ.’
For thou dost say, How can one profit by thee? How can I benefit, more than by my sin?
4 “ನಾನು ನಿನಗೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಗೂ ಈಗ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I, will answer thee plainly, and thy friends with thee.
5 ಆಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡು; ನಿನಗಿಂತಲೂ ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿರುವ ಮೇಘಗಳನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸು.
Look at the heavens and see, —and survey the skies—they are higher than thou.
6 ನೀನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ಅದು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಬಾಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ? ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅದು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡುವುದು?
If thou sinnest, what canst thou work against him? Or, if thy transgressions be multiplied, what canst thou do unto him?
7 ನೀನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ದೇವರಿಗೇನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಂತಾಯಿತು? ಅಥವಾ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಏನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಂತಾಯಿತು?
If thou art righteous, what canst thou give unto him? Or what, at thy hand, can he accept?
8 ನಿನ್ನ ದುಷ್ಟತನವು ನಿನ್ನಂಥವರನ್ನೇ ಬಾಧಿಸುವುದು; ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಬೇರೆ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಲಾಭವಾಗುವುದು.
Unto a man like thyself, might thy lawlessness [reach], and, unto a son of the earth-born, thy righteousness.
9 “ಅಪಾರ ಹಿಂಸೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟವರು ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರ ಭುಜಬಲದಿಂದ ಪೀಡಿತರು ಕಿರಿಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
By reason of the multitude of oppressions, [men] make outcry, They cry for help, by reason of the arm of the mighty;
10 ಆದರೆ, ‘ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗೀತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ನನ್ನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಕರ್ತರಾದ ದೇವರು ಎಲ್ಲಿ?
But none saith—Where is GOD my maker, Who giveth songs in the night;
11 ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೃಗಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ನಮಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬುದ್ಧಿಕಲಿಸಿಕೊಡುವ ದೇವರು ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ನಮಗೆ ಅಧಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ದೇವರು ಎಲ್ಲಿ?’ ಎಂದು ಯಾರೂ ಹೇಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and, beyond the bird of the heavens, giveth us wisdom?
12 ಜನರು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಸೊಕ್ಕಿನಿಂದ ನೊಂದು ಗೋಳಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೂ ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
There, [men] make outcry, and he answereth not, because of the arrogance of evil-doers.
13 ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯರ್ಥಮಾತನ್ನು ದೇವರು ಕೇಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರು ಬರೀಮಾತನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Howbeit, vanity, will GOD not hear, Yea, the Almighty, will not regard it.
14 ಹೀಗಿರಲು, ‘ದೇವರು ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವು ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದೆ; ದೇವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಾದಿರುತ್ತೇನೆ,’ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ, ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವರೋ?
How much less when thou sayest thou wilt not regard him! The cause, is before him, and thou must wait for him.
15 ದೇವರು ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ದುಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸದೆ ಇರುವ ಕಾರಣ, ‘ಆಹಾ, ದೇವರು ದ್ರೋಹವನ್ನು ಅಷ್ಟಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,’ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳುವಾಗ ದೇವರು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರೋ?
But, now, because it is not so, [thou sayest] —His anger hath punished, and yet hath he not at all known of transgression;
16 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೋಬನಾದ ನೀನು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಬಾಯಿತೆರೆದು, ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಬಹಳ ಮಾತಾಡಿರುವಿ.”
Thus, Job, vainly openeth his mouth, Without knowledge, he multiplieth words.
