ಯೋಬನು 34
1 ಎಲೀಹು ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
Furthermore Elihu responded, and said: —
2 ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೇ, ನನ್ನ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ಪಂಡಿತರೇ, ನನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ.
Hear, ye wise men, my words, and, ye who know, give ear unto me;
3 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ನಾಲಿಗೆ ರುಚಿ ನೋಡುವಂತೆ, ಕಿವಿಯು ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೋಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
For, the ear, trieth words, as, the palate, tasteth in eating.
4 ನಾವು ಸರಿಯಾದುದನ್ನೇ ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ; ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಏನೆಂದು ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ನಾವೇ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ.
What is right, let us choose for ourselves, Let us know, among ourselves, what is good;
5 “ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೋಬನು, ‘ನಾನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
For Job hath said—I am righteous, But, GOD, hath turned away my right;
6 ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಯವಿದ್ದರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರನೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ; ನಾನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ದೇವರ ಬಾಣವು ಗುಣಪಡಿಸಲಾಗದ ಗಾಯವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದೆ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.”
Concerning mine own right, shall I tell a falsehood? Incurable is my disease—not for any transgression.
7 ಯೋಬನಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನನು ಯಾರು? ಅವನು ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
What man is like Job? He drinketh in scoffing like water;
8 ಯೋಬನು ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಹವಾಸ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ದುಷ್ಟಜನರ ಸಂಗಡ ನಡೆದಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
And is on the way to keep company, with the workers of iniquity, and to walk with lawless men.
9 “ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು, ‘ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಲಾಭವಿಲ್ಲ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.”
For he hath said, It profiteth not a man, when, his good pleasure, is with God.
10 “ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರೇ, ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವುದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ದೇವರು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆಂಬ ಯೋಚನೆ ದೂರವಿರಲಿ. ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರು ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಎಸಗುತ್ತಾರೆಂಬ ಭಾವನೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಲಿ.
Wherefore, ye men of mind, hearken unto me, —Far be it, that, GOD, should be lawless, or, the Almighty, be perverse!
11 ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಹೌದು, ದೇವರು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಅವರವರ ನಡತೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಅನುಭವಿಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
For, what any son of earth doeth, he repayeth him, and, according to every man’s course, he causeth him to find.
12 ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಡೊಂಕು ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Nay, verily, GOD, will not condemn unjustly, —nor, the Almighty, pervert justice.
13 ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದವರು ಯಾರು? ಸರ್ವಲೋಕವನ್ನು ದೇವರ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟವರು ಯಾರು?
Who set him in charge of the earth? Or who appointed [him] the whole world?
14 ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ, ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನೂ, ಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನೂ, ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮನಸ್ಸುಮಾಡುವುದಾದರೆ,
If he should set against him his heart, His spirit and his inspiration, unto himself he should withdraw.
15 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅಳಿದುಹೋಗುವರು; ಇಡೀ ಮಾನವಕುಲವು ಧೂಳಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವುದು.”
All flesh together, would cease to breathe, and, the earth-born, unto dust, would return.
16 “ಯೋಬನೇ, ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೋ; ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು.
If then [thou hast] understanding, hear this, Give thou ear to the teaching of my words: —
17 ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವ ದೇವರು, ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ? ನೀತಿವಂತರೂ, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ದೇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ತಪ್ಪುಹೊರಿಸುವಿಯೋ?
Shall, the very hater of right, control? Or, the just—the mighty one, wilt thou condemn?
18 ದೇವರು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀನು ಮೂರ್ಖ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬಲ್ಲರು. ದೇವರು ಪ್ರಧಾನರಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀವು ದುಷ್ಟರು’ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಬಲ್ಲರು ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?
Doth one say to a king, Abandoned one! Or, Lawless one! unto nobles?
19 ದೇವರು ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಖದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯ ತೋರಿಸುವರೋ? ಧನಿಕನನ್ನು ಬಡವನಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಂದು ದೇವರು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವರೋ? ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದೇವರ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
For he hath shewn no respect of persons unto princes, neither hath he recognised the rich rather than the poor? For, the work of his hands, are they all.
20 ಜನರು ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರು ತಲ್ಲಣಗೊಂಡು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಗಳು ಸಹ ಮಾನವರ ಕೈ ಒಳಪಡದೆ ಗತಿಸಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.”
In a moment, they die, even in the middle of the night, —A people are convulsed when they pass away, A mighty one is removed, without hand;
21 “ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ; ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
For, his eyes, are on the ways of a man, and, all his footsteps, he beholdeth, —
22 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಅಡಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, ಗಾಢಾಂಧಕಾರವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ನೆರಳೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
No darkness, and no death-shade, where the workers of iniquity may hide.
23 ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗಮನ ಇಡಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೇವರು ಕರೆಯುವ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
For, unto no man, doth he appoint a repetition, —in going unto GOD in judgment;
24 ಯಾವ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆಯೇ ದೇವರು ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸಬಹುದು. ದೇವರು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ.
He shattereth mighty ones unsearchably, and setteth up others in their stead:
25 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ದೇವರು ಅಂಥವರ ದುಷ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿ ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡುವರು.
Therefore, he observeth their works, —and overturneth [them] in a night, and they are crushed;
26 ಅವರ ದುಷ್ಟತನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ಎಲ್ಲರು ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುವರು.
In the place of lawless men, hath he chastised them, in presence of beholders.
27 ಅವರು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸದೆ, ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಷ್ಟೆ.
Forasmuch, as they turned from following him, and, none of his ways, did they teach;
28 ಹೀಗೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಬಡವರ ಕೂಗನ್ನು ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು ದೇವರು ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವರ ಕೂಗನ್ನು ಆಲೈಸಿದ್ದರು.
Causing to reach him the outcry of the poor, Yea, the outcry of the oppressed, he heareth.
29 ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ, ತಪ್ಪುಹೊರಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರು? ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಾಗಲಿ, ದೇಶಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ ಮರೆಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ದೇವದರ್ಶನ ಪಡೆಯಬಲ್ಲವರು ಯಾರು?
When, he, giveth quiet, who then shall condemn? And, when he hideth [his] face, who then shall sing of him? whether unto a nation or unto mankind altogether,
30 ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನನು ಆಳಬಾರದು, ಯಾರೂ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಉರುಲಾಗಬಾರದು, ಎಂಬುದೇ ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ಉದ್ದೇಶ.”
That impious men may not reign, nor be ensnarers of the people.
31 “ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ, ಯಾರಾದರೂ ದೇವರಿಗೆ, ‘ನಾನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಪಾಪಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
For, unto GOD, hath one [ever] said—I have borne punishment, I will not be perverse;
32 ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ಕಾಣದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿರಿ. ನಾನು ತಪ್ಪುಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೂ, ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರೆ ಸರಿ.
What I see not, do, thou, shew me, If, perverseness, I have wrought, I will do it no more?
33 ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಡಲು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದಾಗ, ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬಾರದೆ? ಇದನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸು, ನಾನು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದದ್ದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು.”
According to thy mind, must he requite it, that thou hast refused? For, thou, must choose, and not, I, What then thou knowest, speak!
34 “ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವರೂ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸಿದ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೂ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ:
The men of mind, will say to me, yea any wise man hearkening unto me: —
35 ‘ಯೋಬನು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಾತಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅವನ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಮಾತುಗಳು.
Job, without knowledge, doth speak, and, his words, are not with discretion.
36 ಯೋಬನನ್ನು ಕಡೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಹಾಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
Would that Job might be tested to the uttermost, for replying with the men of iniquity:
37 ಯೋಬನು ತನ್ನ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಪ್ಪಾಳೆ ತಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾನೆ; ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ,’ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.”
For he addeth—unto his sin—rebellion, In our midst, he clappeth his hands, and multiplieth his sayings against GOD.
