ಯೋಬನು 33
1 “ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೋಬನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳು. ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನುಡಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
And yet, I pray thee, O Job, Hear my speech and [to] all my words give ear.
2 ಈಗ ನಾನು ಮಾತಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳು ನನ್ನ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯ ತುದಿಯಲ್ಲಿವೆ.
Lo, I pray thee, I have opened my mouth, My tongue hath spoken in the palate.
3 ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಯಥಾರ್ಥತ್ವವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳೇ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತವೆ; ನನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳು ನಾನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತವೆ.
Of the uprightness of my heart [are] my sayings, And knowledge have my lips clearly spoken.
4 ದೇವರ ಆತ್ಮರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದರು. ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರ ಶ್ವಾಸವೇ ನನಗೆ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು.
The Spirit of God hath made me, And the breath of the Mighty doth quicken me.
5 ನಿನಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡು; ನನ್ನ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲೇ ನಿನ್ನ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಾದಿಸು.
If thou art able — answer me, Set in array before me — station thyself.
6 ನೋಡು, ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನಂತೆಯೇ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ; ನಾನು ಸಹ ಜೇಡಿಮಣ್ಣಿನಿಂದ ರೂಪಿತವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
Lo, I [am], according to thy word, for God, From the clay I — I also, have been formed.
7 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಭೀತಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸದಿರಲಿ; ನನ್ನ ಒತ್ತಾಯ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಭಾರವಾಗಿರಬಾರದು.
Lo, my terror doth not frighten thee, And my burden on thee is not heavy.
8 “ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ, ನೀನು ಆಡಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿವೆ. ನಾನೇ ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ನೀನು ಆಡಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ:
Surely — thou hast said in mine ears, And the sounds of words I hear:
9 ‘ನಾನು ಶುದ್ಧನು, ನಾನು ತಪ್ಪುಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನಾನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿ, ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಪಾಪವಿಲ್ಲ.
'Pure [am] I, without transgression, Innocent [am] I, and I have no iniquity.
10 ಆದರೂ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಶತ್ರುವೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Lo, occasions against me He doth find, He doth reckon me for an enemy to Him,
11 ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಕಾಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೋಳ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾದಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪರಿಶೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.’
He doth put in the stocks my feet, He doth watch all my paths.'
12 “ಹೀಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೀನು ಮಾತಾಡಿದ್ದು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗಿಂತ ಬಹಳ ದೊಡ್ಡವರು.
Lo, [in] this thou hast not been righteous, I answer thee, that greater is God than man.
13 ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಕ್ಕಾದರೂ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ದೇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡುವುದೇಕೆ?
Wherefore against Him hast thou striven, When [for] all His matters He answereth not?
14 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹೌದು, ವಿವಿಧ ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೂ ಯಾರು ದೇವರ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
For once doth God speak, and twice, (He doth not behold it.)
15 ಸ್ವಪ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ, ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಗಾಢನಿದ್ರೆಯು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ತೂಕಡಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹ,
In a dream — a vision of night, In the falling of deep sleep on men, In slumberings on a bed.
16 ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಕಿವಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು, ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಗಳಿಂದ ಮುದ್ರೆಹಾಕಿ ಮಾತಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Then He uncovereth the ear of men, And for their instruction sealeth:
17 ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಅವನ ದುಷ್ಕಾರ್ಯದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ, ಅವನ ಗರ್ವವನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ದೇವರು ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
To turn aside man [from] doing, And pride from man He concealeth.
18 ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಕುಣಿಯಿಂದ ತಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಅವನ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ನಾಶವಾಗದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಕಾಪಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
He keepeth back his soul from corruption, And his life from passing away by a dart.
19 “ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೋವಿನಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವಾಗ, ಅವನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳಿಗೆ ನೋವು ಉಂಟಾದಾಗ, ದೇವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ತಿದ್ದುತ್ತಾರೆ.
And he hath been reproved With pain on his bed, And the strife of his bones [is] enduring.
20 ಆಗ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಹಸಿವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಅವನ ಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಸವಿ ಊಟವೂ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗುವುದು.
And his life hath nauseated bread, And his soul desirable food.
21 ಅವನ ಶರೀರವು ಕಾಣದ ಹಾಗೆ ಸವೆಯುವುದು; ಕಾಣದಿದ್ದ ಅವನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳು ಸಹ ಬಯಲಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.
His flesh is consumed from being seen, And high are his bones, they were not seen!
22 ಹೀಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಸಮಾಧಿಗೆ ಸಮೀಪಿಸುವುದು. ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಸಾವಿನ ಸಂದೇಶವಾಹಕರ ಹತ್ತಿರವಾಗುವುದು.
And draw near to the pit doth his soul, And his life to those causing death.
23 ಆಗ ಸಹಸ್ರ ದೂತರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಿ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಯಥಾರ್ಥತೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೆ,
If there is by him a messenger, An interpreter — one of a thousand, To declare for man his uprightness:
24 ಆ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ, ‘ಅಧೋಲೋಕವೆಂಬ ಕುಣಿಗೆ ಇಳಿಯುವುದರಿಂದ ಇವನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿರಿ; ನಾನು ಇವನಿಗಾಗಿ ವಿಮೋಚನೆಯ ಕ್ರಯವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
Then He doth favour him and saith, 'Ransom him from going down to the pit, I have found an atonement.'
25 ಅವನ ದೇಹವು ಮಗುವಿನ ದೇಹಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೃದುವಾಗಿರಲಿ; ಅವನು ಪುನಃ ತನ್ನ ಯೌವನದ ದಿನಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಲಿ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
Fresher [is] his flesh than a child's, He returneth to the days of his youth.
26 ಆಗ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡುವನು; ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುವರು; ಅವನು ಆನಂದ ಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ನೋಡುವನು; ದೇವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ನೀತಿವಂತನೆಂದು ಪುನಃಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವರು.
He maketh supplication unto God, And He accepteth him. And he seeth His face with shouting, And He returneth to man His righteousness.
27 ಅವನು ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುವನು: ‘ನಾನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದೆ, ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಡೆದೆ. ಆದರೂ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ದಂಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ದೇವರು ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ,
He looketh on men, and saith, 'I sinned, And uprightness I have perverted, And it hath not been profitable to me.
28 ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಧೋಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗದಂತೆ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ನಾನು ಜೀವ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಆನಂದಿಸಲು ಬಾಳುವೆನು.’
He hath ransomed my soul From going over into the pit, And my life on the light looketh.'
29 “ನೋಡು, ದೇವರು ಎರಡು ಸಾರಿಯಲ್ಲದೆ, ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವರು.
Lo, all these doth God work, Twice — thrice with man,
30 ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಅಧೋಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು, ಜೀವ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಂತೆಯೇ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುವರು.
To bring back his soul from the pit, To be enlightened with the light of the living.
31 “ಯೋಬನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಗಮನಕೊಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳು. ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕೇಳು, ಈಗ ನಾನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
Attend, O Job, hearken to me, Keep silent, and I — I do speak.
32 ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಹೇಳು, ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡು, ಮಾತನಾಡು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀತಿವಂತನೆಂದು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬುದೇ ನನ್ನ ಆಶೆ.
If there are words — answer me, Speak, for I have a desire to justify thee.
33 ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವುದನ್ನು ಕೇಳು; ಮೌನವಾಗಿರು, ಈಗ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.”
If there are not — hearken thou to me, Keep silent, and I teach thee wisdom.
