ಯೋಬನು 29
1 ಯೋಬನು ಮತ್ತೆ ತನ್ನ ಚರ್ಚೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
Job resumed speaking and said,
2 “ಕಳೆದುಹೋದ ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಂತೆ ಈಗಲೂ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು; ಆಗ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲವೆ?
“Oh, that I were as I was in the past months when God cared for me,
3 ದೇವರ ದೀಪವು ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ನಾನು ದೇವರ ಬೆಳಕಿನಿಂದ ಕತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ.
when his lamp shined on my head, and when I walked through darkness by his light.
4 ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಯೌವನದ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ದೇವರ ಸ್ನೇಹವು ನನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
Oh, that I were as I was in the ripeness of my days when the friendship of God was on my tent,
5 ಆಗ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು; ನನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇದ್ದರು.
when the Almighty was yet with me, and my children were around me,
6 ನನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೊಸರಿನಿಂದ ತೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೆನು; ಬಂಡೆಯಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಓಲಿವ್ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಪ್ರವಾಹವಾಗಿ ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
when my way was covered with cream, and the rock poured out for me streams of oil!
7 “ನಾನು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಮುಂಬಾಗಿಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ, ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಪೀಠದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಾಗ,
When I went out to the city gate, when I sat in my place in the city square,
8 ಯುವಕರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಪಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿದು ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು; ವೃದ್ಧರು ಸಹ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
the young men saw me and kept their distance from me in respect, and the aged people rose and stood for me.
9 ಪ್ರಧಾನರು ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿ ಹಿಡಿದು, ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
The princes used to refrain from talking when I came; they would lay their hand on their mouths.
10 ಘನವಂತರು ಮೌನ ತಾಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು; ಅವರ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಅಂಗಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂಟಿರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
The voices of the noblemen were hushed, and their tongue clung to the roof of their mouths.
11 ಕೇಳಿದ ಕಿವಿಯು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹರಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ನೋಡಿದವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
For after their ears heard me, they would then bless me; after their eyes saw me, they would then give witness to me and approve of me
12 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅಂಗಲಾಚುವ ಬಡವನನ್ನೂ, ಸಹಾಯಕನಿಲ್ಲದ ಅನಾಥನನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು.
because I rescued the one who was poor when he cried out, and the one who had no father when he had no one to help him.
13 ಸಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ವಿಧವೆಯ ಹೃದಯವು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಹಾಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.
The blessing of him who was about to perish came on me; I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.
14 ನಾನು ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಂತೆ ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದೆನು; ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವು ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಪೇಟದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; my justice was like a robe and a turban.
15 ನಾನು ಕುರುಡನಿಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣೂ, ಕುಂಟನಿಗೆ ಕಾಲೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೆನು.
I was eyes to blind people; I was feet to lame people.
16 ದರಿದ್ರರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು; ಅಪರಿಚಿತರ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.
I was a father to needy people; I would examine the case even of one whom I did not know.
17 ದುಷ್ಟರ ದವಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬೇಟೆಯನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.
I broke the jaws of the unrighteous man; I plucked the victim out from between his teeth.
18 “ಆಗ ನಾನು, ‘ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಾನು ಸಾಯುವೆನು; ಮರಳಿನಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಇರುತ್ತವೆ,
Then I said, 'I will die in my nest; I will multiply my days like the grains of sand.
19 ನನ್ನ ಬೇರು ನೀರಿನ ಬಳಿ ಹಬ್ಬಿರುತ್ತದೆ; ರಾತ್ರಿಯಿಡಿ ನನ್ನ ಕೊಂಬೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಂಜು ಬಿದ್ದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
My roots are spread out to the waters, and dew lies all night on my branches.
20 ನನ್ನ ಘನವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಬಿಲ್ಲು ಸಹ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಬಲಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ,’ ಎಂದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.
The honor in me is always fresh, and the bow of my strength is always new in my hand.'
21 “ಜನರು ನನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಎದುರುನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ನನ್ನ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಕೇಳಲು ಮೌನವಾಗಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
To me men listened; they waited for me; they stayed silent to hear my advice.
22 ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಬೇರೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ನುಡಿ ಅವರ ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
After my words were done, they did not speak again; my speech dropped like water on them.
23 ಮಳೆಯಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಎದುರುನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಮುಂಗಾರಿನ ಮಳೆಯಹಾಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
They always waited for me as they waited for rain; they opened their mouth wide to drink in my words, as they would do for the latter rain.
24 ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಮುಗುಳ್ನಗಿದಾಗ, ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ನಂಬಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಮುಖದ ಕಾಂತಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
I smiled on them when they did not expect it; they did not reject the light of my face.
25 ನಾನು ಅವರ ಪ್ರಧಾನನಾಗಿ ಕೂತು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಅರಸನಂತೆ ಆಸೀನನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು. ನಾನು ದುಃಖಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುವವನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದೆನು.
I selected their way and sat as their chief; I lived like a king in his army, like one who comforts mourners.
