ಯೋಬನು 28
1 ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ದೊರಕುವ ಗಣಿ ಇದೆ. ಬಂಗಾರ ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಲು ಸ್ಥಳವೂ ಇದೆ.
“Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place for gold which they refine.
2 ಕಬ್ಬಿಣವನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅದಿರನ್ನು ತಾಮ್ರವಾಗಲು ಕರಗಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Iron is taken out of the earth, and copper is smelted out of the ore.
3 ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಕತ್ತಲನ್ನು ಹೋಗಲಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಲೋಹಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಆಳ ಪ್ರದೇಶದೊಳಗೆ ಅವರು ಶೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Man sets an end to darkness, and searches out, to the furthest bound, the stones of obscurity and of thick darkness.
4 ಜನ ನಿವಾಸದಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿ ಗಣಿ ತೋಡಿ, ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ನಡೆದಾಡದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇತರರಿಂದ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
He breaks open a shaft away from where people live. They are forgotten by the foot. They hang far from men, they swing back and forth.
5 ಭೂಮಿ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಅದರ ಕೆಳಭಾಗವು ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗುವುದು.
As for the earth, out of it comes bread. Underneath it is turned up as it were by fire.
6 ಭೂಮಿಯ ಬಂಡೆಗಳು ಇಂದ್ರನೀಲಗಳು ಸಿಗುತ್ತವೆ; ಅದರ ಧೂಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಗಟ್ಟಿಗಳು ಇರುತ್ತವೆ.
Sapphires come from its rocks. It has dust of gold.
7 ಆ ದಾರಿ ಯಾವ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿಯದು; ಹದ್ದಿನ ಕಣ್ಣು ಸಹ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿಲ್ಲ.
That path no bird of prey knows, neither has the falcon’s eye seen it.
8 ಕಾಡುಮೃಗಗಳು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಸಿಂಹವು ಅದನ್ನು ದಾಟಲಿಲ್ಲ.
The proud animals have not trodden it, nor has the fierce lion passed by there.
9 ಮಾನವನ ಹಸ್ತವು ಬಂಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ; ಪರ್ವತಗಳ ಬುಡಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಬರಿದಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ.
He puts his hand on the flinty rock, and he overturns the mountains by the roots.
10 ಬಂಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣು ಅದರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತದೆ.
He cuts out channels among the rocks. His eye sees every precious thing.
11 ಜನರು ನದಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅಡಗಿದ್ದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ತರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
He binds the streams that they do not trickle. The thing that is hidden he brings out to light.
12 ಆದರೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರಕುವುದು? ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆ ಇರುವ ಸ್ಥಳ ಎಲ್ಲಿ?
“But where will wisdom be found? Where is the place of understanding?
13 ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮೌಲ್ಯ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ; ಜೀವಿಸುವವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರರು.
Man does not know its price, and it is not found in the land of the living.
14 ಸಾಗರ, “ಜ್ಞಾನವು ನನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಇಲ್ಲ,” ಎನ್ನುತ್ತದೆ; ಸಮುದ್ರವು, “ಜ್ಞಾನವು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲ,” ಎನ್ನುತ್ತದೆ.
The deep says, ‘It is not in me.’ The sea says, ‘It is not with me.’
15 ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬಂಗಾರಕೊಟ್ಟು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗದು; ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಬೆಲೆಗೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ತೂಕಮಾಡಲಾಗದು.
It cannot be gotten for gold, neither will silver be weighed for its price.
16 ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಓಫಿರಿನ ಬಂಗಾರಕ್ಕೂ, ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಗೋಮೇಧಿಕಕ್ಕೂ, ಇಂದ್ರನೀಲಕ್ಕೂ ಬೆಲೆ ಕಟ್ಟಲಾಗದು.
It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
17 ಬಂಗಾರವೂ, ಸ್ಪಟಿಕವೂ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮವಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಬಂಗಾರದ ಆಭರಣಗಳು ಸಹ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮವಲ್ಲ.
Gold and glass cannot equal it, neither will it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold.
18 ಹವಳವೂ, ಸೂರ್ಯಕಾಂತ ಶಿಲೆಯೂ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಲು ಅರ್ಹವಲ್ಲ; ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಬೆಲೆಯು ಮಾಣಿಕ್ಯಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ!
No mention will be made of coral or of crystal. Yes, the price of wisdom is above rubies.
19 ಕೂಷ್ ದೇಶದ ಪುಷ್ಯರಾಗವು ಸಹ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಶುದ್ಧ ಬಂಗಾರದಿಂದಲೂ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗದು.
The topaz of Ethiopia will not equal it. It will not be valued with pure gold.
20 ಆದರೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬರುವುದು? ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆಯ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಎಲ್ಲಿ?
Where then does wisdom come from? Where is the place of understanding?
21 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜೀವಿಗಳ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೂ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿದೆ; ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಅದು ಗೋಚರವಾಗದು.
Seeing it is hidden from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the birds of the sky.
22 ನಾಶಲೋಕವೂ ಮರಣವೂ, “ನಾವು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಕಿವಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ,” ಎನ್ನುತ್ತವೆ.
Destruction and Death say, ‘We have heard a rumor of it with our ears.’
23 ದೇವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಹೌದು, ದೇವರೇ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
“God understands its way, and he knows its place.
24 ದೇವರೊಬ್ಬರೇ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯ ತನಕ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ, ಆಕಾಶದ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತವನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
For he looks to the ends of the earth, and sees under the whole sky.
25 ದೇವರು ಗಾಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಷ್ಟು ತೂಕವನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿ, ನೀರುಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ಅಳತೆಮಾಡಿ,
He establishes the force of the wind. Yes, he measures out the waters by measure.
26 ಮಳೆಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಗರ್ಜಿಸುವ ಸಿಡಿಲಿಗೆ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನೂ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದಾಗಲೇ
When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder,
27 ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು. ಹೌದು, ದೇವರು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಮಾಡಿದರು.
then he saw it, and declared it. He established it, yes, and searched it out.
28 ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿ ಇಡುವುದೇ ಜ್ಞಾನ! ದುಷ್ಟತನವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವುದೇ ವಿವೇಕ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
To man he said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom. To depart from evil is understanding.’”
