ಯೋಬನು 24
1 “ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರು ತೀರ್ಪಿನ ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸದೆ ಇರುವುದೇಕೆ? ದೇವರನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದವರು ದೇವರ ದಿನಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಏಕೆ?
"Why aren't times made known by Shaddai? Why do not those who know him see his days?
2 ಕೆಲವರು ಗಡಿಗಳ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಬದಲಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಕದ್ದ ಮಂದೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಸಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
There are people who remove the landmarks. They violently take away flocks, and feed them.
3 ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವರ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ವಿಧವೆಯ ಎತ್ತನ್ನು ಒತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They drive away the donkey of the fatherless, and they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
4 ದರಿದ್ರನನ್ನು ದಾರಿಯಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ದೇಶದ ಬಡವರು ಕೂಡ ಅವರಿಂದ ಓಡಿ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They turn the needy out of the way. The poor of the earth all hide themselves.
5 ಕಾಡುಕತ್ತೆಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಡವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಲೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಪಾಳುಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೂ, ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಆಹಾರ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ.
Look, as wild donkeys in the desert, they go forth to their work, seeking diligently for food. The wilderness yields them bread for their children.
6 ಬಡವರು ಹೊಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇವನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ದು, ದುಷ್ಟನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಕ್ಕಲಾಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They cut their provender in the field. They glean the vineyard of the wicked.
7 ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ರಾತ್ರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಚಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೊದ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲ.
They lie all night naked without clothing, and have no covering in the cold.
8 ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮಳೆಯಿಂದ ನೆನೆದುಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಬಂಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಶ್ರಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for lack of a shelter.
9 ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದ ಶಿಶುವನ್ನು ತಾಯಿಯ ಎದೆಯಿಂದ ಕಸೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಬಡವನ ಶಿಶುವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
There are those who pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor,
10 ಬಡವರೋ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವರಾಗಿ ಅಲೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಹಸಿದವರಾಗಿ ಸಿವುಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
So that they go around naked without clothing. Being hungry, they carry the sheaves.
11 ಯಜಮಾನರ ಮಾಳಿಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಓಲಿವ್ ಎಣ್ಣೆಗಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ದಾಹಗೊಂಡೇ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೆಯ ತೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They make oil within the walls of these men. They tread wine presses, and suffer thirst.
12 ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ನರಳುವಿಕೆಯು ಜೋರಾಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಗಾಯಪಟ್ಟವರ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೂಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಆದರೂ ದೇವರು ಯಾರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ತಪ್ಪು ಹೊರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
From out of the populous city, men groan. The soul of the wounded cries out, yet God doesn't regard the folly.
13 “ಬೆಳಕಿನ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅಂಥವರು ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಿಯದವರು; ಬೆಳಕಿನ ದಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರದವರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
"These are of those who rebel against the light. They do not know its ways, nor abide in its paths.
14 ಕೊಲೆಗಾರನು ಮುಂಜಾನೆಯೇ ಎದ್ದು, ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವರನ್ನೂ, ಬಡವರನ್ನೂ ಸಂಹರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳ್ಳನಂತೆ ವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
The murderer rises with the light. He kills the poor and needy. In the night he is like a thief.
15 ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಯು ಸಂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಎದುರುನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವನು. ತರುವಾಯ, ‘ಯಾವ ಕಣ್ಣೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಯಾರು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಣದಂತೆ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
The eye also of the adulterer waits for the twilight, saying, 'No eye shall see me.' He disguises his face.
16 ಕಳ್ಳರು ಕತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನ ಕೊರೆದು ಮನೆಗಳೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹಗಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರು ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡಲು ಬಯಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
In the dark they dig through houses. They shut themselves up in the daytime. They do not know the light.
17 ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲು ಬೆಳಕಿನಂತಿರುವುದು; ಕತ್ತಲೆಯ ಭೀತಿಯೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು.
For the morning is to all of them like thick darkness, for they know the terrors of the thick darkness.
18 “ಆದರೂ ಅವರು ನೀರಿನ ಮೇಲಿನ ಗುಳ್ಳೆಯಂತೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಜಮೀನು ಶಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಯಾರೂ ಅವರ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೆಯ ತೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
"They are foam on the surface of the waters. Their portion is cursed in the earth. They do not turn into the way of the vineyards.
Drought and heat consume the snow waters, so does Sheol those who have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
20 ಹೆತ್ತ ಕರುಳು ಅಂಥವರನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ಬಿಡುವುದು; ಹುಳವು ಅಂಥವರ ಹೆಣವನ್ನು ರುಚಿಯಿಂದ ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವುದು; ಇನ್ನು ಅವರ ನೆನಪು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಮರದ ಹಾಗೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಮುರಿದುಹೋಗುವರು.
The womb shall forget him. The worm shall feed sweetly on him. He shall be no more remembered. Unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.
21 ದುಷ್ಟರು ಆಸ್ತಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಜೆಯರನ್ನು ಮೋಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರು ವಿಧವೆಯರಿಗೆ ದಯೆ ತೋರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
He devours the barren who do not bear. He shows no kindness to the widow.
22 ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರನ್ನು ಎಳೆದೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರು ಉದ್ಧಾರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಜೀವನದ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಲ್ಲ.
Yet he preserves the mighty by his power. He rises up who has no assurance of life.
23 ಭದ್ರತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಪಡೆಯಲು ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಬಹುದು; ಆದರೆ ದೇವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ಮೇಲಿರುವುದು.
He gives them security, and they rest in it. His eyes are on their ways.
24 ಅವರು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಾಲ ಉನ್ನತವಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಂತರ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಂತೆ ಕೊಯ್ದ ತೆನೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಕಾಳಿನಂತೆ ಬೇರ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone. Yes, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all others, and are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.
25 “ಈ ಮಾತು ನಿಜ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಯಾರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಬಲ್ಲರು? ಯಾರು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ವ್ಯರ್ಥಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲರು?”
If it isn't so now, who will prove me a liar, and make my speech worth nothing?"
