ಯೋಬನು 21
1 ಯೋಬನು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
But Job answered and said,
2 “ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ಇವು ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ನೀಡುವ ಆದರಣೆಗಳಾಗಿರಲಿ.
Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.
3 ನಾನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವಾಗ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ನಾನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀವು ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು.
Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on.
4 “ನಾನೇನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ದೂರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೋ? ನಾನೇಕೆ ಬೇಸರಪಡಬಾರದು.
As for me, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled?
5 ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಗಮನಿಸಿರಿ; ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈ ಇಟ್ಟು ಬೆರಗಾಗಿರಿ.
Mark me, and be astonished, and lay your hand upon your mouth.
6 ನಾನು ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ನೆನಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಭಯಪಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನನ್ನ ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ನಡುಕ ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತದೆ.
Even when I remember I am afraid, and trembling taketh hold on my flesh.
7 ದುಷ್ಟರು ವೃದ್ಧರಾಗುವವರೆಗೆ ಏಕೆ ಬದುಕುತ್ತಾರೆ? ಅಂಥವರು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಬಲಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಕಾರಣವೇನು?
Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?
8 ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಸಂತಾನದವರು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗುವುದನ್ನೂ, ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುವರು.
Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
9 ಅವರ ಮನೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಭಯದಿಂದಿರುವುದು; ದೇವರ ದಂಡನೆಯ ಕೋಲು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳದಿರುವುದು.
Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of Eloah upon them.
10 ಅವರ ಹೋರಿಯು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದು; ಅವರ ಆಕಳು ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಈಯುವುದು.
Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
11 ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮಂದೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೊರನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರ ಚಿಕ್ಕವರು ಕುಣಿದಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
12 ಅವರು ದಮ್ಮಡಿಯಿಂದಲೂ, ಕಿನ್ನರಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಹಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಕೊಳಲಿನ ಶಬ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.
13 ಅವರು ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನದಿಂದ ಸಮಾಧಿಗೆ ಸೇರುತ್ತಾರೆ. (Sheol h7585)
They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave. (Sheol h7585)
14 ಆದರೂ ಇವರು ದೇವರಿಗೆ, ‘ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡು, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ ನಮಗೆ ಬೇಡ.
Therefore they say unto El, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
15 ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರು ಯಾರು, ನಾವು ಅವರ ಸೇವೆ ಏಕೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು? ನಾವು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಿ ನಮಗೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವೇನು?’ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
16 ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಸುಖವು ಅವರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯು ನನಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಲಿ.
Lo, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
17 “ಆದರೂ ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾರಿ ದುಷ್ಟರ ದೀಪವು ಆರಿಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ? ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾರಿ ವಿಪತ್ತು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ? ದೇವರು ವೇದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಬೇಸರದಿಂದ ಹಂಚುವುದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾರಿ?
How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and how oft cometh their destruction upon them! Elohim distributeth sorrows in his anger.
18 ಅವರು ಗಾಳಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಆದದ್ದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾರಿ? ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯು ಹೊಡಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದದ್ದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾರಿ?
They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.
19 ‘ದೇವರು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಅಪರಾಧ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕಾದಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲಾ? ಆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸಲಿ.
Eloah layeth up his iniquity for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know it.
20 ದುಷ್ಟರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಿನಾಶವನ್ನು ತಾವಾಗಿಯೇ ನೋಡಲಿ; ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಅವನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಲಿ.
His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
21 ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ನೇಮಕವಾದ ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳು ಮುಗಿದು ಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ ತಾವು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗುವ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರ ಚಿಂತೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿ?
For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
22 “ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸಬಹುದೇ? ಉನ್ನತರಿಗೂ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವುದು ದೇವರೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?
Shall any teach El knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.
23 ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ಸುಖವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಸಮೃದ್ಧನಾಗಿಯೂ, ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಿಂದ ಇರುವಾಗಲೂ ಸಾಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.
24 ಅವನ ದೇಹ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದು ಪೋಷಣೆಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳು ಮಜ್ಜೆಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.
25 ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸದೆ, ಕಹಿಯಾದ ಮನೋವ್ಯಥೆಪಡುತ್ತಾ ಸಾಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.
26 ಇವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಮಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಸೇರುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಹುಳುಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ.
They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.
27 “ನೋಡಿರಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು. ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me.
28 ನೀವು, ‘ಪ್ರಧಾನನ ಮನೆ ಈಗ ಎಲ್ಲಿದೆ? ದುಷ್ಟರು ವಾಸಿಸಿದ ಗುಡಾರ ಎಲ್ಲಿ?’ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ.
For ye say, Where is the house of the prince? and where are the dwelling places of the wicked?
29 ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗುವವರನ್ನು ನೀವು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವರ ಅನುಭವಗಳು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹಿಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
Have ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not know their tokens,
30 ಹೀಗೆ ಆಪತ್ತಿನ ದಿನ ದುಷ್ಟರು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ; ದೇವರ ದಂಡನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
31 ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿಯಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರು? ಅವರು ಮಾಡಿದ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರು?
Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done?
32 ದುಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಿಗೆ ಒಯ್ಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಗೋರಿಗೆ ಕಾವಲು ಇಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.
33 ಕಣಿವೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಣ್ಣು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಹಿಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದಷ್ಟು ಜನರು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.
34 “ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಉತ್ತರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸದ್ರೋಹ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಮತ್ತೇನೂ ಉಳಿದಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.”
How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?
