ಯೋಬನು 17
1 ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮ ಮುರಿದುಹೋಗಿದೆ; ನನ್ನ ದಿನಗಳು ಮುಗಿದಿವೆ; ಸಮಾಧಿ ನನಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ.
My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves [are ready] for me.
2 ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರರು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅವರ ಹಗೆತನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಾನು ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.
[Are there] not mockers with me? and doth not my eye continue in their provocation?
3 “ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೇಳುವ ಈಡನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡಿರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಯಾರು ನನಗೆ ಭದ್ರತೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವವರು?
Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee; who [is] he [that] will strike hands with me?
4 ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸದಂತೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿರುವಿರಿ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt [them].
5 ಯಾರು ಸ್ವಂತ ಲಾಭಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಗೆ ದ್ರೋಹ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೋ, ಅಂಥವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಮಂಕಾಗಿಬಿಡುವುದು.
He that speaketh flattery to [his] friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.
6 “ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜನರ ಕಟ್ಟುಗಾದೆಗೆ ಆಸ್ಪದ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವವರು ನನ್ನ ಮುಖಕ್ಕೆ ಉಗುಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
He hath made me also a by-word of the people; and in former time I was as a tabret.
7 ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಗಿವೆ; ನನ್ನ ಅಂಗಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೆರಳಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಇವೆ.
My eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members [are] as a shade.
8 ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕರು ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬೆರಗಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯು ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
Upright [men] shall be astonished at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.
9 ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತನು ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುವನು; ಶುದ್ಧ ಕೈಗಳುಳ್ಳವರು ಬಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವರು.
The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
10 “ಆದರೆ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಂದು ಮತ್ತೆ ವಾದ ಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿರಿ! ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot find [one] wise [man] among you.
11 ನನ್ನ ದಿನಗಳು ಮುಗಿದು ಹೋದವು; ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಬಯಕೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳು ಭಂಗವಾದವು.
My days are past, my purposes are broken off, [even] the thoughts of my heart.
12 ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು ರಾತ್ರಿಯನ್ನು ಹಗಲು ಎಂದು ಸಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಕತ್ತಲಿಂದ ಬೆಳಕು ಬೇಗ ಬರಲಿದೆ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ.
They change the night into day: the light [is] short because of darkness.
If I wait, the grave [is] my house: I have made my bed in the darkness. (Sheol h7585)
14 ಸಮಾಧಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ’ ಎಂದೂ, ಹುಳಕ್ಕೆ, ‘ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿ, ನನ್ನ ತಂಗಿ’ ಎಂದೂ ನಾನು ಕರೆಯುವುದಾದರೆ,
I have said to corruption, Thou [art] my father: to the worm, [Thou art] my mother, and my sister.
15 ನನ್ನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ನನ್ನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಯಾರು ನೋಡುವರು?
And where [is] now my hope? as for my hope, who will see it?
