ಯೋಬನು 12
1 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಬನು ಹೀಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು:
Then Job answered and said,
2 “ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ನೀವೇ ಆ ಜನರು; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡಲೇ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಸಾಯುವುದು.
No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
3 ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನನಗೂ ಸಹ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ ಉಂಟು; ನಾನು ನಿಮಗಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಇಂಥಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯದಿರುವವನು ಯಾರು?
But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?
4 “ನಾನು ನೀತಿವಂತನೂ, ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯಾದರೂ ಗೆಳೆಯರ ಗೇಲಿ ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದೆನು; ನಾನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದೆ; ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟರು;
I am as one that is a laughing-stock to his neighbour, [a man] that called upon God, and he answered him: the just, the perfect man is a laughing-stock.
5 ಸುಖಜೀವಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಜನರು ತೊಂದರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವವರನ್ನು ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಎಡವಿ ಬೀಳುವ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಕಾದಿದೆ ಆಪತ್ತು.
In the thought of him that is at ease there is contempt for misfortune; it is ready for them whose foot slippeth.
6 ಕಳ್ಳರ ಗುಡಾರಗಳು ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿವೆ; ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೆರಳಿಸುವವರು ನಿಶ್ಚಿಂತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ದೇವರೇ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
The tents of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth [abundantly].
7 “ಆದರೂ ಮೃಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ಅವು ನಿನಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುವುವು; ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ಅವು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವುವು.
But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
8 ಭೂಮಿಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡು, ಅದು ನಿನಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುವುದು, ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೀನುಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸುವುವು.
Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee; and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
9 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕೈ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಿತೆಂದು ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಯದಿರುವುದು ಯಾವುದು?
Who knoweth not in all these, that the hand of LORD hath wrought this?
10 ದೇವರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜೀವಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಣವೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಶ್ವಾಸವೂ ಇವೆ.
In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
11 ಬಾಯಿಯು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ರುಚಿ ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಕಿವಿಯು ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವೇಚಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೇ?
Doth not the ear try words, even as the palate tasteth its meat?
12 ಮುದುಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ದೀರ್ಘಾಯುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
With aged men is wisdom, and in length of days understanding.
13 “ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ, ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿವೆ; ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯೂ, ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆಯೂ ದೇವರವೇ.
With him is wisdom and might; he hath counsel and understanding.
14 ದೇವರು ಕೆಡವಿದ್ದನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ದೇವರು ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಬಿಡಿಸಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again; he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
15 ದೇವರು ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ತಡೆಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಭೂಮಿ ಒಣಗುತ್ತದೆ; ದೇವರು ನೀರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ, ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up; again, he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
16 ಬಲವೂ, ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿವೆ; ವಂಚಕ ಹಾಗು ವಂಚಿತ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟವರು.
With him is strength and effectual working; the deceived and the deceiver are his.
17 ದೇವರು ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೂರ್ಖರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and judges maketh he fools.
18 ದೇವರು ಅರಸರಿಂದ ಹಾಕಲಾದ ಬಂಧನಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿ, ಅವರ ನಡುಗಳಿಗೆ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾರೆ.
He looseth the bond of kings, and bindeth their loins with a girdle.
19 ದೇವರು ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಅಧಿಕಾರದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಪ್ರಧಾನರನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
He leadeth priests away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.
20 ದೇವರು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಾರ್ಹ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರನ್ನು ಮೌನಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ವೃದ್ಧರ ವಿವೇಚನೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
He removeth the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the elders.
21 ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಹೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಸಡಿಲಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
He poureth contempt upon princes, and looseth the belt of the strong.
22 ದೇವರು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅಗಾಧವಾದ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಗಾಢಾಂಧಕಾರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death.
23 ದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವುದೂ, ದಂಡಿಸುವುದೂ ದೇವರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ; ದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತಾರಮಾಡುವುದೂ, ಚದರಿಸುವುದೂ ದೇವರ ಅಧಿಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he spreadeth the nations abroad, and bringeth them in.
24 ದೇವರು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರ ವಿವೇಚನೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅಂಥವರು ಮಾರ್ಗವಿಲ್ಲದ ಅಲೆಯ ಮಾಡುವುದೂ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯ.
He taketh away the heart of the chiefs of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
25 ನಾಯಕರು ಬೆಳಕು ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಡಕಾಡುವಂತೆಯೂ ಅವರು ಮತ್ತೇರಿದವರಂತೆ ದಿಗ್ಭ್ರಮೆಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತೆಯೂ ಮಾಡಲು ದೇವರು ಶಕ್ತರು.
They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man.
