ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು 1
1 ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಸೀಮೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಅನಾತೋತ್ ಊರಿನ ಯಾಜಕ ವರ್ಗದವನೂ, ಹಿಲ್ಕೀಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಗಳು.
The words of Jeremiah, the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:
2 ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಆಮೋನನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಹದಿಮೂರನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಇವನಿಗೆ ಕೇಳಿಬಂತು.
To whom the word of the Lord came in the days of Josiah, the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his rule.
3 ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನ ಕಾಲದ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಹನ್ನೊಂದನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದ ಐದನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನವರು ಸೆರೆ ಹೋಗುವ ತನಕ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಒದಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
And it came again in the days of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, up to the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah; till Jerusalem was taken away in the fifth month.
4 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದರು,
Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
5 “ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾಯಿಯ ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆಯೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೆನು. ನೀನು ಹುಟ್ಟುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿದ್ದೆನು; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.”
Before you were formed in the body of your mother I had knowledge of you, and before your birth I made you holy; I have given you the work of being a prophet to the nations.
6 ಆಗ ನಾನು, “ಹಾ, ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಇಗೋ ನಾನು ಮಾತು ಬಲ್ಲವನಲ್ಲ, ನಾನು ಚಿಕ್ಕವನು,” ಎಂದೆನು.
Then said I, O Lord God! see, I have no power of words, for I am a child.
7 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ, “‘ನಾನು ಚಿಕ್ಕವನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಡ.’ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಹೋಗಬೇಕು. ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಕು.
But the Lord said to me, Do not say, I am a child: for wherever I send you, you are to go, and whatever I give you orders to say, you are to say.
8 ಅವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಾದ ನಾನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
Have no fear because of them: for I am with you, to keep you safe, says the Lord.
9 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಕೈಚಾಚಿ, ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿ ನನಗೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
Then the Lord put out his hand, touching my mouth; and the Lord said to me, See, I have put my words in your mouth:
10 ನೋಡು, ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನೀನು ಕೀಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಬಿಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಕೆಡವಿ ಹಾಕುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಕಟ್ಟುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ನೆಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
See, this day I have put you over the nations and over the kingdoms, for uprooting and smashing down, for destruction and overturning, for building up and planting.
11 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನಗೆ, “ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನೇ, ನೀನು ಏನು ಕಾಣುತ್ತೀ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು, “ಬಾದಾಮಿ ಮರದ ಕೊಂಬೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದೆನು.
Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, I see a branch of an almond-tree.
12 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿದ್ದೀ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲು ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು, ತಿಳಿದುಕೊ” ಎಂದರು.
Then the Lord said to me, You have seen well: for I keep watch over my word to give effect to it.
13 ಎರಡನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ, “ನೀನು ಏನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೀ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ, ನಾನು, “ಬೇಯುವ ಮಡಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಅದರ ಬಾಯಿ ಉತ್ತರದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಇದೆ,” ಎಂದೆನು.
And the word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, What do you see? And I said, I see a boiling pot, and its face is from the north.
14 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ, “ಉತ್ತರ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೇಡು ಹೊರಟು ಬರುವುದು.
Then the Lord said to me, Out of the north evil will come, bursting out on all the people of the land.
15 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಉತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ಕುಲಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ. “ಅವರು ಬಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳ ಪ್ರವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಅದರ ಸುತ್ತಲಾಗಿರುವ ಗೋಡೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿಯೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರಿಸುವರು.
For see, I will send for all the families of the kingdoms of the north, says the Lord; and they will come, everyone placing his high seat at the way into Jerusalem, and against its walls on every side, and against all the towns of Judah.
16 ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಧೂಪವನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಕೈಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನು ನುಡಿಯುವೆನು.
And I will give my decision against them on account of all their evil-doing; because they have given me up, burning perfumes to other gods and worshipping the works of their hands.
17 “ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈಗ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ನಡುವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು, ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡು. ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ದಿಗಿಲುಪಡಿಸದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ.
So make yourself ready, and go and say to them everything I give you orders to say: do not be overcome by fear of them, or I will send fear on you before them.
18 ಸಮಸ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅದರ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅದರ ಯಾಜಕರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ, ದೇಶದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಾನೇ ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೋಟೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಸ್ತಂಭವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಕಂಚಿನ ಗೋಡೆಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
For see, this day have I made you a walled town, and an iron pillar, and walls of brass, against all the land, against the kings of Judah, against its captains, against its priests, and against the people of the land.
19 ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವರು. ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ,” ಇದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ನುಡಿ.
They will be fighting against you, but they will not overcome you: for I am with you, says the Lord, to give you salvation.
