ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು 8

1 “‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸರ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅದರ ಪ್ರಧಾನರ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಯಾಜಕರ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಸಮಾಧಿಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ತರುವರು.

“At that time—this is Yahweh's declaration—they will bring out from the graves the bones of the kings of Judah and its officials, the bones of the priests and the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

2 ಅವರು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡಿದಂಥ, ಸೇವಿಸಿದಂಥ, ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದಂಥ, ಹುಡುಕಿದಂಥ, ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದಂಥ, ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ, ಚಂದ್ರನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಆಕಾಶ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಿಡುವರು; ಹೌದು, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಹೂಣಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಗೊಬ್ಬರವಾಗುವುವು.

Then they will spread them out in the light of the sun and moon and all the stars of the skies; these things in the sky that they have followed and served, that they have walked after and sought, and that they have worshiped. The bones will not be gathered or buried again. They will be like dung on the surface of the earth.

3 ಈ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮನೆತನದವರನ್ನು ನಾನು ಯಾವಾವ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಟ್ಟಿಬಿಡುವೆನೋ, ಅಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳಿದುಳಿದವರು ಜೀವಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಸಾವೇ ಲೇಸೆಂದು ಬಯಸುವರು ಎಂದು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.’

In every remaining place where I have driven them, they will choose death instead of life for themselves, all who are still left over from this evil nation—this is the declaration of Yahweh of hosts.

4 “ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: ‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: “‘ಅವರು ಬಿದ್ದು ಮತ್ತೆ ಏಳರೋ? ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದವನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

So say to them, 'Yahweh says this: Does anyone fall and not get up? Does anyone get lost and not try to return?

5 ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಈ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಜನರು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗದಂತೆ ಏಕೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ? ಮೋಸವನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Why has this people, Jerusalem, turned away in permanent faithlessness? They hold on to treachery and refuse to repent.

6 ನಾನು ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳಿದೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾವನಾದರೂ, “ನಾನು ಎಂಥಾ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ,” ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪ ಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಕುದುರೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ರಭಸವಾಗಿ ಓಡುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ತನ್ನ ದಾರಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

I paid attention and listened, but they did not speak right; no one was sorry for his wickedness, no one who says, “What have I done?” All of them go where they wish, like a stallion rushing toward battle.

7 ಹೌದು, ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿಯ ಬಕಪಕ್ಷಿಯು ತನ್ನ ನಿಯಮಿತ ಕಾಲಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಪಾರಿವಾಳವೂ, ಬಾನಕ್ಕಿಯೂ, ಕೊಕ್ಕರೆಯೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಗಮನಾಗಮನದ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಅರಿಯರು.

Even the stork in heaven knows the right times; and the doves, swifts, and cranes. They go on their migrations at the right time, but my people do not know Yahweh's decrees.

8 “‘“ನಾವು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ನಿಯಮವು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದೆ,” ಎಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಇಗೋ, ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಆತನು ಅದನ್ನು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಿಯಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳ ಲೇಖನಿಯು ಮೋಸಕರವಾಗಿದೆ.

How can you say, “We are wise, for the law of Yahweh is with us”? Indeed, see! The deceitful pen of the scribes has created deceit.

9 ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ನಾಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದಿಗಿಲುಪಟ್ಟು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಗೋ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಜ್ಞಾನವಿದೆ.

The wise men will be ashamed. They are dismayed and trapped. Behold! They reject Yahweh's word, so what use is their wisdom?

10 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರನ್ನು ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ, ಅವರ ಹೊಲಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ಮಾಲಿಕನಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವೆನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಚಿಕ್ಕವನು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ದೊಡ್ಡವರತನಕ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಲೋಭಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಯಾಜಕರವರೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಮೋಸದಿಂದ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

So I will give their wives to others, and their fields to those who will possess them, because from the least to the greatest, all of them are greedy for dishonest gain! From the prophet to the priest, all of them practice deceit.

11 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ಗಾಯವನ್ನು ಹಗುರವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಮಾಧಾನವಿಲ್ಲದಿರುವಾಗ, “ಸಮಾಧಾನ, ಸಮಾಧಾನ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

They healed the wounds of my people lightly, saying, “Peace, Peace,” when there was no peace.

12 ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಟ್ಟರೋ? ಇಲ್ಲ, ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವಾದರೂ ನಾಚಿಕೆ ಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಲಜ್ಜೆಯನ್ನೇ ಅರಿಯರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬೀಳುವವರೊಳಗೆ ಅವರು ಬೀಳುವರು. ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸುವ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವರು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬೀಳುವರು, ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Were they ashamed when they practiced abominations? They were not ashamed; they did not know how to blush! So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when they are punished, says Yahweh.

13 “‘ನಾನು ಅವರ ಫಸಲನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡಿಬಿಡುವೆನು, ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ಗಿಡದಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಂಜೂರ ಮರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಜೂರ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಲೆಯು ಬಾಡುವುದು. ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟವುಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವುವು.’”

I will remove them completely—this is Yahweh's declaration—there will be no grapes on the vine, nor will there be figs on the fig trees. For the leaf will wither, and what I have given to them will pass away.

14 ನಾವು ಏಕೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ? ನೀವು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಕೋಟೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸೋಣ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಶವಾಗೋಣ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ ಕಾರಣ, ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಿ, ನಮಗೆ ವಿಷದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Why are we sitting here? Come together; let us go to the fortified cities, and we will become silent there in death. For Yahweh our God will silence us. He will make us drink poison, since we have sinned against him.

15 ಸಮಾಧಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡೆವು, ಆದರೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೇನೂ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾದಿದ್ದೆವು. ಆದರೆ ಇಗೋ, ಆತಂಕವನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇವೆ.

We are hoping for peace, but there will be nothing good. We are hoping for a time of healing, but see, there will be terror.

16 ಅವನ ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಶ್ವಾಸವು ದಾನಿನಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿಸಿತು. ಅವನ ಬಲವಾದವುಗಳ ಕೆನೆತದ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ ದೇಶವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡುಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಅವರು ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವುದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ, ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ, ಅದರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನುಂಗಲು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

The snorting of his stallions is heard from Dan. The whole earth shakes at the sound of the neighing of his strong horses. For they will come and consume the land and its wealth, the city and the ones living in it.

17 “ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಷಸರ್ಪಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧೀನವಾಗದ ನಾಗಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಚ್ಚುವವು,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

For see, I am sending out snakes among you, vipers that you cannot charm. They will bite you—this is Yahweh's declaration.'”

18 ದುಃಖದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಾನು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ, ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಂದಿಹೋಗಿದೆ.

My sorrow has no end, and my heart is sick.

19 ದೂರದೇಶದಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ಕೂಗುವ ಮೊರೆಯಿದು: “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಚೀಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವಳ ಅರಸನು ಅವಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ?” ಎಂಬುದೇ ಆದರೂ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಂದಲೂ, ವಿಚಿತ್ರವಾದ ವ್ಯರ್ಥತ್ವಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ನನಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದು ಏಕೆ?

Behold! The screaming voice of the daughter of my people from a land far away! Is Yahweh not in Zion? Is her king no longer there? Why then do they provoke me to anger with their carved figures and their worthless foreign idols?

20 “ಸುಗ್ಗಿ ಮುಗಿಯಿತು. ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಕಾಲ ತೀರಿತು. ನಾವಾದರೋ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದಲಿಲ್ಲ.”

The harvest has passed on, summer is over. But we have not been saved.

21 ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ತುಳಿತಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾದದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನೂ ತುಳಿತಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾದೆನು. ದುಃಖಿಸಿದೆನು. ಭಯವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯಿತು.

I am hurt because of the hurt of the daughter of my people. I mourn at the horrible things that have happened to her; I am dismayed.

22 ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಲಾಮು ಇಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವೈದ್ಯನಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ಗಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಏಕೆ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆ ಇಲ್ಲ?

Is there no medicine in Gilead? Is there no healer there? Why will the healing of the daughter of my people not happen?
