ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು 48

1 ಮೋವಾಬನ್ನು ಕುರಿತದ್ದು: ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: “ನೆಬೋ ಊರಿನವರಿಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ! ಆ ಊರು ಸೂರೆಯಾಯಿತು; ಕಿರ್ಯಾತಯಿಮು ಶತ್ರುವಿನ ಕೈವಶವಾಗಿ ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ; ಬಲವಾದ ಕೋಟೆಯು ಸಹ ಚದರಿ ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆ ಈಡಾಗಿದೆ.

Concerning Moab. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled; Kirjathaim is put to shame, it is taken; Misgab is put to shame and dismayed.

2 ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಹೆಷ್ಬೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಬನ್ನಿ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವಿಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡೋಣ; ಮದ್ಮೆನೇ, ನೀನು ಸಹ ಸುಮ್ಮನಾಗುವೆ; ಖಡ್ಗವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುವುದು.

Moab's praise is no more; in Heshbon they have devised evil against her: Come, and let us cut her off from [being] a nation. Thou also, O Madmen, shalt be cut down; the sword shall pursue thee.

3 ಹೊರೊನಯಿಮಿನಿಂದ ಕೂಗುವ ಸ್ವರವು, ಸೂರೆಯು, ದೊಡ್ಡ ನಾಶವು, ಹೊರಡುವುದು.

A voice of crying from Horonaim; wasting and great destruction!

4 ಮೋವಾಬು ನಾಶವಾಯಿತು: ಅದರ ಚಿಕ್ಕವರು ಕೂಗನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.

5 ಲೂಹೀತ್ ದಿಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅಳುತ್ತಲೇ ಹತ್ತುವರು; ಹೊರೊನಯಿಮಿನ ಇಳಿಜಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನಾಶದ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

For by the ascent of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the descent of Horonaim is heard the anguish of the cry of destruction.

6 ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿರಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಒಣ ಗಿಡದ ಹಾಗಿರಿ.

Flee, save your lives, and be like a shrub in the wilderness.

7 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನೀನು ಸಹ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗುವಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಮೋಷನು, ಅವನ ಯಾಜಕರು, ಅವನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವರು.

For because thou hast confided in thy works and in thy treasures, thou also shalt be taken, and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity, his priests and his princes together.

8 ಒಂದೊಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿನಾಶಕನು ಬರುವನು; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ, ಒಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದರೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರದು. ತಗ್ಗೂ ಸಹ ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದು; ಮತ್ತು ಬಯಲು ಹಾಳಾಗುವುದು.

And the waster shall come upon every city, that not a city shall escape; and the valley shall perish, and the plateau shall be destroyed: as Jehovah hath said.

9 ಹಾರಿಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮೋವಾಬಿಗೆ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಿರಿ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಹಾಳಾಗುವುವು; ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

Give wings unto Moab, that she may flee and get away; and the cities thereof shall become a desolation, without inhabitant.

10 “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಲಸ್ಯಗಾರನು ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತನಾಗಲಿ; ರಕ್ತದಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹಿಂದೆಗೆಯುವವನಿಗೆ ಶಾಪವಾಗಲಿ.

Cursed be he that doeth the work of Jehovah negligently, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood!

11 “ಮೋವಾಬು ತನ್ನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಂದಿನಿಂದ ಸುಖವಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಅದು ತನ್ನ ಮಡ್ಡಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿರುವ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸದಂತೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಇತ್ತು; ಒಂದು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಪಾತ್ರೆಗೆ ಹೊಯ್ಯಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅದರ ರುಚಿ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಂಟು; ಅದರ ವಾಸನೆ ಬೇರೆ ಆಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.

Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and hath settled on his lees; he hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste hath remained in him, and his scent is not changed.

12 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಗೋ, ದಿನಗಳು ಬರುವವು” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅದರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡುವವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು; ಅವರು ಅದು ಅಲೆದಾಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವರು; ಅದರ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬರಿದುಮಾಡಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಬುದ್ದಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆಯುವರು.

Therefore behold, days come, saith Jehovah, that I will send unto him pourers that shall pour him off, and shall empty his vessels, and break in pieces his flagons.

13 ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆಯವರು ತಾವು ನಂಬಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಬೇತೇಲಿನ ವಿಷಯ ಹೇಗೆ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಟ್ಟರೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮೋವಾಬು ಕೆಮೋಷನ ವಿಷಯ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡುವುದು.

And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel, their confidence.

14 “‘ನಾವು ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳೂ, ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರೂ,’ ಎಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?

How do ye say, We are mighty, and men of valour for the war?

15 ಮೋವಾಬು ಸೂರೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಅದರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಏರಿ ಹೋದವು, ಅದರ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರು ಹತರಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತ ಯೆಹೋವ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ರಾಜಾಧಿರಾಜರ ನುಡಿ.

Moab is laid waste, and his cities are gone up [in smoke], and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is Jehovah of hosts.

16 “ಮೋವಾಬಿಗೆ ಆಪತ್ತು ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮೀಪವಾಯಿತು. ಅದರ ಕೇಡು ಬಹು ತ್ವರೆಪಡುತ್ತದೆ.

The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.

17 ಅದರ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೇ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಗೋಳಾಡಿರಿ; ಅದರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲವರೆಲ್ಲರೇ, ‘ಬಲವಾದ ಕೋಲೂ, ಮಹಿಮೆಯ ಬೆತ್ತವೂ ಹೇಗೆ ಮುರಿದುಹೋಯಿತು?’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ.

All ye that are about him, bemoan him; and all ye that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, the beautiful rod!

18 “ದೀಬೋನಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಮಗಳೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ವೈಭವದಿಂದ ಇಳಿದು ಬಾ; ಒಣಭೂಮಿಯ ಬಾಯಾರಿದವಳಂತೆ ಕೂತುಕೋ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮೋವಾಬನ್ನು ವಿನಾಶ ಮಾಡುವವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವನು; ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲವಾದ ಕೋಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸಿಬಿಡುವನು.

Come down from [thy] glory and sit in the drought, O inhabitress, daughter of Dibon; the spoiler of Moab is come up against thee, thy strongholds hath he destroyed.

19 ಅರೋಯೇರಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಯೇ, ದಾರಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸು; ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗುವವನನ್ನೂ, ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನನ್ನೂ ಏನಾಯಿತೆಂದು ಕೇಳು.

Stand by the way, and watch, inhabitress of Aroer; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth; say, What is done?

20 ಮೋವಾಬು ಚದರಿಹೋಯಿತೆಂದು ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆ ಈಡಾಗಿದೆ. ಗೋಳಾಡಿರಿ, ಕೂಗಿರಿ; ಮೋವಾಬು ಹಾಳಾಯಿತೆಂದು ಅರ್ನೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿರಿ.

Moab is put to shame; for he is broken down: howl and cry; tell it in Arnon, that Moab is laid waste.

21 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಬಯಲುಸೀಮೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ತೀರ್ವಿಕೆ ಬಂತು; ಹೋಲೋನ್, ಯಹಚ, ಮೇಫಾತ್,

And judgment is come upon the country of the plateau; upon Holon, and upon Jahzah, and upon Mephaath;

22 ದೀಬೋನ್, ನೆಬೋ, ಬೇತ್ ದಿಬ್ಲಾತಯಿಮ್,

and upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim;

23 ಕಿರ್ಯಾತಯಿಮ್, ಬೇತ್ ಗಾಮುಲ್, ಬೇತ್ ಮೆಯೋನ್,

and upon Kirjathaim, and upon Beth-gamul, and upon Beth-meon;

24 ಬೊಚ್ರ, ಕೆರೀಯೋತ್, ಹೀಗೆ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ, ದೂರದಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಇರುವ, ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಬಂತು.

and upon Kerijoth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far and near.

25 ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಕೊಂಬು ಕಡಿದು ಹಾಕಲಾಗಿದೆ; ಅದರ ತೋಳು ಮುರಿಯಲಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith Jehovah.

26 “ಅದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಅಮಲೇರಿಸಿರಿ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ; ಮೋವಾಬು ಸಹ ತಾನೇ ವಾಂತಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಳಾಡುವುದು; ಅದೇ ಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿರುವುದು.

Make him drunken, for he magnified himself against Jehovah; and Moab shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.

27 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನೊಳಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೂ ಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅದು ಕಳ್ಳರೊಳಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತೇನೋ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಅದರ ವಿಷಯ ಯಾವಾಗ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ತಲೆ ಅಲ್ಲಾಡಿಸಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲಾ.

For was not Israel a derision unto thee? Was he found among thieves, that as oft as thou didst speak of him, thou didst shake the head?

28 ಮೋವಾಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವವರೇ, ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಂಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರಿ; ಸಂದುಗಳ ಬಾಯಿಗಳ ಪಕ್ಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗೂಡು ಕಟ್ಟುವ ಪಾರಿವಾಳದ ಹಾಗಿರಿ.

Leave the cities, and dwell in the rocks, ye inhabitants of Moab, and be like the dove, that maketh her nest in the sides of the cave's mouth.

29 “ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು, ಅದರ ಮಹಾ ಗರ್ವವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು, ಅದರ ಡಂಭವನ್ನೂ, ಅಹಂಕಾರವನ್ನೂ, ಬಡಾಯಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಸೊಕ್ಕಿನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

We have heard of the arrogance of Moab, — [he is] very proud; — his loftiness, and his arrogance, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.

30 ನಾನು ಅದರ ಕೋಪೋದ್ರೇಕವನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನೆಂದು, ಅದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥ”, ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ; “ಆದರೆ ಅದು ಹಾಗೆ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನ ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಳು ಸರಿಬೀಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

I know his wrath, saith Jehovah; his pratings are vain: they do not as [they say].

31 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಗೋಳಿಡುವೆನು; ಸಮಸ್ತ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಕೂಗುವೆನು; ಕೀರ್ ಹೆರೆಸಿನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ದುಃಖಿಸುವುದು.

Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab: for the men of Kir-heres shall there be moaning.

32 ಸಿಬ್ಮದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾಲತೆಯೇ, ಯಜ್ಜೇರಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಅಳುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲು ನಿನ್ನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಅಳುವೆನು; ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳ್ಳಿಗಳು ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿದವು. ಯಜ್ಜೇರಿನ ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಟ್ಟಿದವು; ನಿನ್ನ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ವಿನಾಶ ಮಾಡುವವನು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with more than the weeping of Jaazer: thy shoots passed over the sea, they reached to the sea of Jaazer. The spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.

33 ಫಲವುಳ್ಳ ಹೊಲದಿಂದಲೂ, ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ದೇಶದಿಂದಲೂ ಸಂತೋಷವೂ, ಉಲ್ಲಾಸವೂ ತೆಗೆಯಲಾಗಿವೆ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ಆಲೆಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅವರ ಆರ್ಭಟದ ಸಂಗಡ ಅವರು ಯಾರೂ ತುಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆರ್ಭಟವೇ ಆರ್ಭಟವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

And joy and gladness is taken away from the fruitful field and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: they shall no more tread with shouting; the shouting shall be no shouting.

34 “ಹೆಷ್ಬೋನಿನ ಕೂಗಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಎಲೆಯಾಲೆಯವರೆಗೂ, ಯಹಚಿನವರೆಗೂ, ಚೋಗರ್ ಮೊದಲ್ಗೊಂಡು ಹೊರೊನಯಿಮಿನ ಮತ್ತು ಎಗ್ಲತ್ ಶೆಲಿಶೀಯದವರೆಗೆ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷದ ಕಡಸಿನಂತೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನೆತ್ತಿದ್ದರು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿಮ್ರೀಮ್‌ನ ನೀರು ಸಹ ಹಾಳಾದವು.

Because of the cry from Heshbon, unto Elaleh, unto Jahaz have they uttered their voice, from Zoar unto Horonaim, [unto] Eglath-shelishijah: for even the waters of Nimrim shall become desolations.

35 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಎತ್ತರ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವವನನ್ನೂ, ತನ್ನ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಧೂಪಸುಡುವವನನ್ನೂ ಮೋವಾಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಬಿಡುವೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

And I will cause to cease in Moab, saith Jehovah, him that offereth in the high place, and him that burneth incense to his gods.

36 “ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಮೋವಾಬಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೊಳಲುಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವುದು. ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಕೀರ್ ಹೆರೆಸಿನ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೊಳಲುಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವುದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ದ್ರವ್ಯ ನಾಶವಾಯಿತು.

Therefore my heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and my heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kir-heres; because the abundance that he hath gotten is perished.

37 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಲೆಗಳು ಬೋಳಾಗುವುವು; ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗಡ್ಡಗಳು ಕ್ಷೌರವಾಗುವುವು; ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೈಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಾಯಗಳು, ಸೊಂಟಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಗೋಣಿತಟ್ಟು ಇರುವುವು.

For every head is bald, and every beard clipped; upon all the hands are cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.

38 ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಳಿಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಅದರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಗೋಳಾಟ ತುಂಬಿ ಇರುವುದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಬೇಡದ ಮಡಕೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಮೋವಾಬನ್ನು ನಾನು ಒಡೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

It is wholly lamentation upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the public places thereof; for I have broken Moab, like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, saith Jehovah.

39 “ಆಹಾ, ಭಂಗವಾಯಿತು! ಕಿರುಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲಾ! ಓಹೋ, ಮೋವಾಬು ನಾಚಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಬೆನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದೆ! ಅದರ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರು ಅಣಕಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಬೆಚ್ಚಿಬೀಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಆಸ್ಪದವಾಗಿದೆ.”

They howl, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! And Moab shall be a derision and a terror to all that are round about him.

40 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: “ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು ಹದ್ದಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಹಾರಿ, ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಚಾಚುವನು.

For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread forth his wings over Moab.

41 ಕೆರೀಯೋತ್ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಶವಾಗುವುದು; ಬಲವಾದ ಕೋಟೆಗಳು ಅವನ ಕೈವಶವಾಗುವುವು; ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳ ಹೆರುವ ಹೆಣ್ಣಿನ ಎದೆಯದಂತೆ ಅದರುವುದು.

Kerijoth is taken, and the strongholds are seized, and at that day the heart of the mighty men of Moab shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

42 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮೋವಾಬು ಅದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಜನಾಂಗವಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದು.

And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against Jehovah.

43 ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಯೇ, ಹೆದರಿಕೆಯೂ, ಕುಳಿಯೂ, ಬೋನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವುವು,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Fear, and the pit, and the snare shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith Jehovah.

44 “ಹೆದರಿಕೆಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವವನು ಗುಂಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವನು. ಗುಂಡಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಏರಿಬರುವವನು, ಬೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬೀಳುವನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಂದರೆ, ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಅವರ ದಂಡನೆಯ ವರ್ಷವನ್ನು ತರುವೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

He that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon her, upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith Jehovah.

45 “ಓಡಿ ಹೋದವರು ಹೆಷ್ಬೋನಿನ ನೆರಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡರು; ಆದರೆ ಹೆಷ್ಬೋನಿನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೂ, ಸೀಹೋನನ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ಜ್ವಾಲೆಯೂ ಹೊರಟು ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಮೂಲೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಗದ್ದಲದ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ನಡುನೆತ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ದಹಿಸಿಬಿಡುವುದು.

They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon powerless; for a fire hath come forth from Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and hath consumed the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the sons of tumult.

46 ಮೋವಾಬೇ, ನೀನೇ ಅಯ್ಯೋ! ಕೆಮೋಷಿನ ಜನರು ನಾಶವಾದರು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಗಡೀಪಾರಾಗಿ ಸೆರೆಯಾದರು.

Woe to thee, Moab! The people of Chemosh is undone; for thy sons are taken away in captivity, and thy daughters are captives.

47 “ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ಕಡೇ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ತರುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಈವರೆಗೆ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ನ್ಯಾಯ ತೀರ್ವಿಕೆಯು ಇರುವುದು.

But I will turn the captivity of Moab at the end of the days, saith Jehovah. Thus far is the judgement of Moab.
