ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು 3

1 “ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ವಿಚ್ಛೇದನಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ಅವಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿ ಬೇರೆಯವನ ಜೊತೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ, ಅವನು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನೋ? ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ, ಆ ದೇಶವು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಅಪವಿತ್ರವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರೇಮಿಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ವೇಶ್ಯೆಯಂತೆ ಇದ್ದೀ. ನೀನು ಈಗ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗುವೆಯಾ?” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man’s, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the LORD.

2 “ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಎತ್ತು. ಯಾವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕೆಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ? ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಬೀಯನ ಹಾಗೆ ದಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀ. ಹೀಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ವೇಶ್ಯೆತನಗಳಿಂದಲೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀಯೆ.

Lift up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness.

3 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮಳೆಗಳು ನಿಂತುಹೋದವು, ಹಿಂಗಾರೇ ಆಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ವೇಶ್ಯೆಯ ನೋಟ ನಿನಗಿತ್ತು. ನಾಚುವುದನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದೆ.

Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore’s forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed.

4 ಈಗಲೂ ನನಗೆ, ‘ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನನ್ನ ಯೌವನದ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನು ನೀನೇ,’ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವೆ.

Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou [art] the guide of my youth?

5 ಆತನು ನಿತ್ಯ ಕೋಪಮಾಡುವವನೋ? ಕೊನೆಯ ತನಕ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನೋ? ಇಗೋ, ನೀನು ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರೇನು? ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುವಷ್ಟು ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಿ.”

Will he reserve [his anger] for ever? will he keep [it] to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.

6 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: “ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೀನು ನೋಡಿದೆಯೋ? ಅವಳು ಒಂದೊಂದು ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ಒಂದೊಂದು ಹಸುರಾದ ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆಯೂ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವೇಶ್ಯೆತನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.

The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen [that] which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.

7 ಅವಳು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೋ ಎಂದೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವಳು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವಳ ವಂಚನೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಸಹೋದರಿಯಾದ ಯೆಹೂದಳು ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಳು.

And I said after she had done all these [things], Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw [it].

8 ಆಗ ನಾನು ಕಂಡದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರಣಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಾನು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ತ್ಯಾಗ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅವಳ ವಂಚನೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಸಹೋದರಿಯಾದ ಯೆಹೂದಳು ಭಯಪಡದೆ, ತಾನು ಕೂಡ ಹೋಗಿ ವೇಶ್ಯೆತನ ಮಾಡಿದಳು.

And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

9 ಆದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಅವಳ ಸೂಳೆತನದ ಸುದ್ದಿಯಿಂದ ಅವಳು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿ, ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಮರಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದಳು.

And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.

10 ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅವಳ ವಂಚನೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಸಹೋದರಿಯಾದ ಯೆಹೂದಳು ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲ್ಲ, ಕಪಟದಿಂದಲೇ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD.

11 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: “ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್, ದ್ರೋಹಿಯಾದ ಯೆಹೂದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಶಿಷ್ಟಳಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.

And the LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah.

12 ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಗೆ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾರು. “‘ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ತಿರುಗಿಕೋ,’ ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ‘ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಕರುಣಾಸಾಗರನು,’ ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ‘ನಾನು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಕೋಪವಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; [and] I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I [am] merciful, saith the LORD, [and] I will not keep [anger] for ever.

13 ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ದ್ರೋಹ ಮಾಡಿ, ಒಂದೊಂದು ಹಸುರು ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಚದರಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಶಬ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡು,’” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.

14 “ಓ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟರಾದ ಜನರೇ, ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. “ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಪತಿ. ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು, ಗೋತ್ರದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಚೀಯೋನಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವೆನು.

Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

15 ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಪಾಲಕರನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನು. ಅವರು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೂ, ಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುವರು.

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

16 ನೀವು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಫಲವುಳ್ಳವರಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂಷವು,’ ಎಂದು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಹೇಳದಿರುವರು. ಅದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಯಾರು ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವುದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit [it; ] neither shall [that] be done any more.

17 ಆ ಕಾಲ ಬಂದಾಗ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನೇ, ‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನ,’ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುವರು. ನನ್ನ ನಾಮ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸ್ಥಾನವಾದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಸಕಲ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳವರು ನೆರೆದು ಬರುವರು. ಆಮೇಲೆ ತಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಟ ಹೃದಯದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಹಟಮಾರಿಗಳಂತೆ ನಡೆಯಲಾರರು.

At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.

18 ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ವಂಶವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ವಂಶದೊಡನೆ ಜೊತೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಾಳುವುದು. ಈ ಎರಡು ವಂಶಗಳೂ ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರಾಂತಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಜರಿಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ನಾಡಿಗೆ ಬರುವುವು.”

In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.

19 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ: “ಎಲೈ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್, ನಾನು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಪುತ್ರನೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿ, ನಿನಗೆ ಮನೋಹರವಾದ ನಾಡನ್ನು ಎಂದರೆ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಮಣೀಯವಾದ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೆ. ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು, ‘ತಂದೆ,’ ಎಂದು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಬರುವೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದೆ.

But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.

20 ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡನನ್ನು ವಂಚಿಸಿಬಿಡುವ ಕಾರಣ, ಓ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರೇ, ನನಗೆ ವಂಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Surely [as] a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.

21 ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಸ್ವರವು ಕೇಳಿತು. ಅವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅಳುವಿಕೆಯ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳೇ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಡೊಂಕು ಮಾಡಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.

A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping [and] supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, [and] they have forgotten the LORD their God.

22 “ಭ್ರಷ್ಟರಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ನೀವು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟತನವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.” “ಇಗೋ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತೇವೆ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು, ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

Return, ye backsliding children, [and] I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou [art] the LORD our God.

23 ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳಿಂದಲೂ, ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಸಮೂಹದಿಂದಲೂ ನಮಗೆ ಮೋಸವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದೆ.

Truly in vain [is salvation hoped for] from the hills, [and from] the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God [is] the salvation of Israel.

24 ನಾಚಿಕೆಯಾದದ್ದು, ನಮ್ಮ ಚಿಕ್ಕತನದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳ ಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನೂ, ಅವರ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅವರ ದನಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರರನ್ನೂ, ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರಿಯರನ್ನೂ ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.

25 ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಗಲಭೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾವೂ, ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಜರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಚಿಕ್ಕತನದಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸ್ವರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.”

We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.
